  1. I think that’s very accurate, tbh. I just don’t want to drop that on a WR.
  2. Without a doubt. His comeback was just a laugh so he could boom it out as hard as he could each time without worrying about direction or situational punting.
  3. That’s the one. I was pretty excited for him but I guess he ended up getting hurt.
  4. It’ll help, but even once they finish their purge, they still have to develop a new winning culture. Still lots of players to sign for all teams. It’s gonna be interesting how it all shakes out. They think they get bonus points the more receivers they have?
  5. Bighill is probably an exception. I get your point and I’m not trying to play devil’s advocate- but all things being equal - just thinking about moving to a new city and staring from scratch and potential bonus money, I think a 20k difference is probably a general starting point in negotiations. Then you might be able to squeeze out a few extra bucks on culture. take guys like Jefferson, Harris, Bryant, Bighill when we first signed him, we've been paying these guys top dollar for their position. On the free market, they probably could have gotten 10-20 more, but it’s just not worth it to leave for that difference. Bailey now is where Lawler was before this past season. Might see McKnight grow into our new Bailey. Get another newbie to start working in. Especially if we have Adams back but maybe he sees a drop in snaps.
  6. Widening the gap between Collaros' salary and the rest of the field.
  7. I think BC is also hoping that QBs will be allowed to count as a starting Canadian in the new CBA.
  8. I definitely think they get some practice reps in TC, at least.
  9. A difference of 20k doesn't seem worth it to even consider moving teams, even if you take away the shitshow factor.
  10. They reportedly offered him 200, he signed withe us for 180.
  11. I definitely had mixed feelings at first, but damn that man knows how to appease a fanbase. He also admits to being a little immature when he first came into the league and his wife and kids have had a large effect on him (as they tend to do).
  12. I think you’re underselling Lawler a bit. Unless he signs for a team friendly deal, his agent is probably asking for closer to 200 than 160. Lucky already got it and Burnham’s deal has incentives to 180. If we’re able to bring back Lawler, I foresee us losing one or both of Bailey/Adams. If he moves on for a higher pay day, I’m sure we can bring back both.
  13. In his media availability, Walters made it seem like we couldn't bring our receivers back - he has an offer to Lawler, but he conceded that Bailey wanted a raise and Adams was a vet and something has to give.
  14. Definitely an area where Walters must be exploring all options. We've seen it play out with scraps at kicker last season. Don't want a repeat.
  15. OK guys. wbbfan first mentioned it. GCn20 was replying to him. Then you both started blaming each other for it.
  16. I will never disparage Bob Wylie - who has been a fine OL coach for a long time - but sometimes it is time to go younger.
  17. Do you guys remember people shitting on Stanley Bryant in his first season here because our OL still sucked? It took a while for things to gel. And such a combination of things - getting a minimum level of talent along the entire OL (Bond being inserted was a big deal at the time) - A QB who could get the ball away in a decent amount of time - Harris coming in who could actually take advantage of holes presented and get every yard out of every play.
  18. I don’t think it has, and that should not be lost in the Reilly news.
  19. An absolute shame he had to go out like he did in BC. My favourite non-Bomber player in the league and just an electric player to watch.
  20. I’m not saying it’s likely, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Obviously, we’ve had players leave before and we will again.
  21. I could see it. He’s a young guy with no ties. Makes sense for him to maximize his value while he can. We’ve seen it with Chungh. Our OL is so sought after that teams overpay for our pieces.
  22. I'm reading the thread on riderfans now and the whole thing reads as the Bombers are doing great and they don't know how they're going to catch up. It's weird how people pick individual posts from a thread and try to pass it off as the general feeling of a fanbase.
  23. more than what I wanted to pay, but kind of what the expectation was.
  24. Thank you ! It wasn't working for me today.
