  1. He is still the best back in our room, I think everyone understands that. From Walters down to the fan base. No one is suggesting he’s washed that I can see. If the Bombers didn’t offer him a number, that’s not disrespectful, it’s a result of being in constant communication with him and knowing what his expectations are and that we couldn’t meet them. That’s all. As to the team tension, we don’t know one way or the other for sure. He’s not infallible, it’s certainly possible he came to camp out of shape after a year off. It’s also possible people are jumping on the injury and his presumed departure and trying to find/create malice from these events. If we believed a couple of weeks ago that our franchise has done things right and treated our players with respect and built a solid team culture that people want to be a part of, then we should believe that they have treated Andrew above board and will walk away amicably.
  2. I mean, you can. A good QB can throw for 5000 in 18 games....but do either team have that kind of offense? nope.
  3. They have no chance. ' Even if they have good seasons, unless they are far and away the top in the league.....it's a disappointment.
  4. You still need to convince guys to sign. It's been a very successful off-season for them.
  5. Yeah, I think we'll be ok there. I'm most worried about BA's injury, but I guess we'll still get him back for the last half/play-offs. Other than that, I'm just hopeful that our scouts find us some good competition for WR and DB.
  6. Jeff Hamilton also said in his interview that he hears Stove is on his way to BC.
  7. I guess I just feel that we would have signed him already if he was willing to take that role.
  8. Only after Brady committed here...hmmm...
  9. Jeff was incredibly supportive of bringing Andrew back. He can't believe the team isn't making it happen.
  10. He's a great follow on twitter. I bet he does a great job.
  11. I went and listened to the interview. It was a completely off the cuff remark - Jeff can't believe that we wouldn't bring Andrew back - and said something like maybe Wade could come in and appeal for common sense to prevail. Jeff didn't specifically say talk to Harris to take less or talk to Walters to spend more, he was just grasping at straws to try and imagine how we can still make this work.
  12. Can you expand on that "bridge deal"?
  13. I don’t know why the league would prevent teams from signing players. If that’s where a team wants to devote their salary cap, it’s up to them. I honestly just think the cap is expected to go up and that will be the new high-end offensive weapon number.
  14. It makes a lot of sense, tbh.
  15. That's great, but prior to covid, no one spent 300k on a receiver. So it's fair to say that at a salary cap of 5.25 - no one is signing a receiver at 300k and I feel it's reasonable to assume that GMs expect the cap to be quite a bit larger than that.
  16. They have to be operating under the assumption that the cap is getting a significant bump.
  17. If there was money to spend, I'd rather have Adams than trying to run three RBs.
  18. End of an era... But what an era.
  19. Walters told us we had to look for savings in our receiving core in order to get the OL and DL signed.
  20. Bob was encouraging - but it is apparently not happening.
  21. Darvin Adams replied to Bob on twitter, indicating that the Bombers are not interested in signing him.
