  1. I don’t know why the league would prevent teams from signing players. If that’s where a team wants to devote their salary cap, it’s up to them. I honestly just think the cap is expected to go up and that will be the new high-end offensive weapon number.
  2. It makes a lot of sense, tbh.
  3. That's great, but prior to covid, no one spent 300k on a receiver. So it's fair to say that at a salary cap of 5.25 - no one is signing a receiver at 300k and I feel it's reasonable to assume that GMs expect the cap to be quite a bit larger than that.
  4. They have to be operating under the assumption that the cap is getting a significant bump.
  5. If there was money to spend, I'd rather have Adams than trying to run three RBs.
  6. End of an era... But what an era.
  7. Walters told us we had to look for savings in our receiving core in order to get the OL and DL signed.
  8. Bob was encouraging - but it is apparently not happening.
  9. Darvin Adams replied to Bob on twitter, indicating that the Bombers are not interested in signing him.
  10. I think this about seals it for Andrew.
  11. Holy *** guys. Adams replied that the Bombers aren't interested in him.
  12. It's a straight up joke, man. Because they are the source.
  13. Better QB too, if Masoli can stay healthy.
  14. He’s got multiple offers. clearly teams want to use him to flip their ratio.
  15. That’s old thinking, IMO. Your RB goes down, you switch out one of your American receivers instead, if that’s where your depth is.
  16. My big concern is other teams following our blueprint and going Canadian at RB. I think Sask is the most likely. but others could be too. Yup - but I think he's our plan at the position so whether another team over pays or not doesn't help us if he leaves.
  17. Brady is clearly weighing offers. The fact that he hasn;t signed yet worries me.
  18. That would be a spicy meatball. It was 5.25 in 2019.
  19. I am definitely taking a lot on faith that has been optimistically influenced by the last two seasons. I am sure Gainey and Purifoy were well paid. They're paying more than 100k less for their QB than we are, they might have over paid for Leonard but he's one guy. If we have the room to sign all of the + contracts that we've given out, they have plenty of room to fill out their roster because their aren't a whole lot of big contracts that I can see. Now - are there any difference makers left for them to blow their wad on is the question. They seem to think they're signing Moncrief back.
  20. Good with all of that. Bailey should obviosly just improve with his role, not take over Lawler's - but lots more production to grow into. Definitely want to see a bunch of new talent competing for snaps. I think we've seen how Woli is going to be used and I do not expect that to change in the slightest.
  21. Yeah, so I'm not sure size is limiting Bailey from doing anything that Lawler can do.
  22. I have a hard time believing there's a huge size difference between them. Lawler isn't exactly Calvin Johnson out there.
