There wouldn't be a point if the player can't take the place of a starter.

They’re all ass.

I feel like Ploen called it the wing t in interviews. But thanks for the info. I have seen the tiniest of video clips from the era.

I was just baout to say, with such a veteran team, what percentage of these guys practicing today make the roster? How much resources should media commit to early cuts?

And I believe Ed Tait is on WST today, so for that should be a good listen.

Darrin Bauming tweeted the same, so perhaps he is covering TC. Draft picks going down like flies.

I feel - don't know - that it was more pitches to guys running outside than a hand off striaght down the middle.

It worked!

I want to check out first day of practice on Sunday, but not sure it's going to happen?

That is amazing.

Not sure what he's up to now. 1290 closed the doors, I'm sure he still wants to make it, but if he has a day job, what do you expect him to do?

5 seasons sounds like a good minimum. I personally feel like some people want to throw way too many names up there.

He has no one to pay him to do it.

They ran their Wing-T offence where there where like, 4 guys lined up behind the centre. 2 of them being"QBs". but just a whole lot of guys taking off in different directions. I can't imagine it would have been fun to watch by our standards today.

I don't believe they did very often, lol.

I'm sure this is simply a move to eliminate any leverage for the PA in negotiations. If players are here, they're not going back home.

There are also more Harris jerseys than Stanley Bryant jerseys. What a **** example.

I'm going to throw it out there that none of our back-up OL make more than Bighill - and certainly don't make as much as he is capable of earning if he went to the highest bidder.

I think Southern Ontario is more than fairly represented already...

It literally already happens every time the salary cap goes up.

Obviously that's a completely separate point that doesn't reduce costs at all. And I'd point out it wouldn't reduce overpays, it would just shift it to other players (back to the 750k QB deals).

How would it reduce costs?

I get that sometimes you ask for things you wont get so you can bargain down to a more reasonable expectation. But these are ridiculous and cartoonish and it makes me wish that the execs were a little more sophisticated.

Report = a reporter making specualtions.
