Something to consider... this isn't a normal b2b game exactly, the hawks played last night also in Nashville, most b2b's so far the team we were playing didn't play the night before. Probably plays a role in who plays and who doesn't. Wouldn't be shocked to see Helle play. Hutch hasn't won in a long time now.

I dunno. Riders have lots of issues, yeah they have done a good job with their off field issues, no doubt murphy and jones are an upgrade but... the content on the field isn't really that impressive, they are an old team who lack Canadian depth, you can fix their international problems via scouting and free agency but the Canadian issue? I don't know about that... I'm sure they will be better than they were last year but by how much? I'm not sure... I don't see them making the playoffs... i just think the Canadian content is lacking and... i mean, they have a qb issue too, is durant gonna be the guy? is he gonna stay healthy? he hurt himself the first game of the year this past season, I'm not sure if he's the guy there moving forward or not and if he isn't.. who is? Do they go after Trevor Harris? Is he really a huge upgrade? I'm not sure... they have a few problems at some key spots that I don't think can be really solved in one off-season.

The problem with RNH or Eberle is they make 6 million a year. That would make them the highest paid jets. LW is an issue for us. Sign Ladd and trade buff for a first and A almost ready LHD prospect

Helle had no chance on 3 maybe all 4. He made several huge saves especially in the third. I'm not sure that the jets deserved to win cuz cbj outplayed them badly after tge first. Not many shots for cbj but the ones they did have were grade A stuff. I'd play helle tomorrow cuz basically if hutch plays tonight we lose. As for helle will be back with the moose when pav is back.... highly doubt it. He's better than both hutch and pav. Positionally and in every other aspect. Pav and Hutch are below average nhl goalies. Helle is better than nhl average. Yup. 4 goals against but like I said had no chance on 3 if not all 4 of them. Hutch or pav play... we lose. Pav has been the biggest problem on this team since they have been here. He has 1 or 2 good stretches during the season but sucks the rest of the time. What might happen is pav is traded or bought out in the off season.

Harris and Marshall would be fine with me. Think you should be able to find a better rb than cotton. Nothing against him but he's probably the 9th best running back in the league

I'll just add this Playing against guys his own age and younger won't help, he needs to play more against the NHL calibre players, are those guys at the WJHC NHL caliber? some are, some aren't. He showed last year that he was too good to play against guys his own age and younger, he needs to learn to play against bigger stronger players... I'm not sure where this Ehlers is sucking stuff is coming from anyway, he's a rookie, he's gonna have ups and downs, probably more downs than ups his first year... but the guy doesn't look out of place or he doesn't seem like he's struggling, the guy has hit more posts than anyone on the team, if 5 of those go in, is this conversation happening even?

I'm not sure where the Goveia dislike is coming from, guys a talent scout... Mcmanus is the guy who should really be getting the heat... he's the guy in charge of it all.. and the other thing, for all we know, Our Scouts did bring in some other talented players other than the ones they have found but MB said thanks but no thanks. It's really tough to say actually... Not everything that went wrong on the O was MB's but perhaps it was mostly his fault cuz let's be honest, the scouts did find some pretty good defensive players... Not sure if Leggett is one but... Leggett,Adams,Bass just to name a couple. There are more also so it's not like they haven't found talent... perhaps they did and that talent was used wrong or put in positions to fail, square pegs in to round holes stuff? I dunno, I guess none of us really know for sure unless we were at these free agent camps. Fun fact i suppose... a guy we had on our PR, Cam Jefferson, just signed with the Denver Broncos of the NFL... so it's not like our scouts didn't find some guys, it's just they never really got a chance to show what they could do in game action here. That might be on the OC, especially when it comes to O players.

I'd let him go if we had the depth and denmark was actually a team that wouldn't get killed every game they play... but we don't and they will be so i don't see how him going to play for Denmark at the WJC actually helps him, if anything it would hurt him more. Denmark sucks lol.

Picard was a good signing but it didn't work out, I understand why Picard was brought in, I don't think he's a good guy to be using as an example, he was a vet presence on a young line, yeah he struggled but i think bringing in Picard was more about him mentoring Goossen and the youngsters more than anything, Did they expect him to be as bad as he was? probably not but sometimes, free agent signings don't work out. Chevon Walker? I dunno who gets the blame there, I want to almost put it on MB since MB seemed to be a guy who would rather play guys he was more familiar with, Aaron Kelly is another guy that MB loved, bombers let him go tho. I don't really see the point in beating this topic to death... I guess when it comes right down to it, Lapo has been away for a few years, he talked a good talk at the press conference, he's always trying to improve and get better, I think some people expect to see the same O we saw a few years ago when he was head coach but... I doubt it will be the same, similar for sure but.... with new wrinkles thrown in for sure. Think Lapo is probably the right hire, I think over the last 3 years or so he's grown, he's learned new things, he's a smart guy, perhaps he was in over his head as head coach... I think our O will be alright this year with a few upgrades and I don't even think they need to rehaul the O talent that much even, New RB (Harris), New guard and Tackle would be nice... cuz Bryant,Chungh and Goossen is a nice start on the line... Run the ball more, MB abandoned it too much, the other teams knew we weren't gonna run the ball so they just teed off on the oline and qb's, need some balance there to stop teams from knowing what's gonna happen.. Hell, when we the people knew what play was coming next, you can bet your butt that the other teams knew it too... Lapo, yup he's failed before but... so has every other guy out there that we spoke too. Not sure there was one guy out there that would make everyone happy. I guess i'll say this... SAsk is getting all this praise and omg look at what they are doing, they are gonna be awesome, bombers hire lapo and it's like oh yeah? lapo is back...not so much hype. Sometimes, it's the signings that guy little hype that turn out to be the best ones and the ones who get the most hype, sometimes they are the ones that fail. We shall see what happens. Upgrade the RB position, the backup qb position(s), maybe a receiver or 2 and i think this team will do some very good things.

I will say I think the cheering after True North is silly, but i don't really care if people do. The games i have been 2, I've chanted True North but I haven't cheered afterwards. I do cheer when the anthem is over tho. I think it's more silly tho to be chanting True North at bomber games. That one, I don't get that one.

Dyce would definitely be a guy I'd have interesting in bringing "home". Perhaps as special teams coach, perhaps as WR coach and you move Howell to special teams.
