They might depending on what happens with him next year, Kane i don't think is a guy that is long for Buffalo.. especially with guys like O'reilly signed Long Term big money, Ristolainen gonna get huge money, Eichel will get big Money, Reinhart also... Bogo makes a nice chunk of change also... Could Buffalo possibly expose Kane in the expansion draft, if there was one, this hypothetical LAS VEGAS gets a team and Kane is left unprotected by Buffalo Scenario that isn't really anything more then huge speculation at this time by our CDN hockey media. I would imagine players with NMC are exempt IE aren't involved in the process at all, I could also see them trading Enstrom this Summer, I don't think it's as far fetched as some think it is. He's on the downside of his career, Send him to the East where he doesn't need to play guys that are 10 x the size he is.

He'd get 2 shifts and then stapled to the bench, Maurice doesn't play Postma much, you think he'd play Kostalek right now? Olsen? He's a center so who of Scheif who is still developing,Lowry same thing, Copp same thing and Burmi, pretty much same thing do you sit? Connor has a tournament as does Poolman, Lemieuxs team will go far in the OHL playoffs. Who do you sit tho? Morrissey is hurt, that's why Melchiori was called up, played one game and was sent down. Morrissey is injured and probably done for the season right now. Of that List, Connor and De Leo, assuming Michigan is eliminated early enough are the only 2 real options.

Personally I like the 1 3 7 option way more and If i had to bet, I'd bet on that being the one. Some teams will be screwed there, Nashville,Calgary in terms of D men... they are gonna lose a really good D men If I'm the Jets tho, Buff,Trouba,Myers(Hamonic) are my 3 D men that I protect.

Well, if they wanted him in their long term plans, that would be a good way of showing the player some love but my thought with Myers was he was always going to be traded by the Jets eventually, not sure why i feel that way, I just think if they had to chose between Buff Trouba and Myers, and they had to get rid of one... Myers would be the obvious choice. RHD is not an issue for the Jets... Myers could very well end up being traded soon, he might not be tho, who knows, might be an interesting off season and draft this year.

We have 12 games left, we aren't going to Lose them all, that's just reality. I mean, we could but we won't so why cheer for a loss. The Lottery comes down to basically the luck of the draw so trying to get last is pointless when the last place team has a better chance at picking 4th then they do at first. We aren't out tanking the leafs or probably Oilers for that matter. Yes, it does come down to who is eliminated in the playoffs but Chicago not winning the division would be a good thing for the Jets pick unless of course they go to the Cup Finals or conference finals.. Both seem likely but with how they have been playing is not guaranteed.

Until they actually come out and say what the rules are in regards to this possible expansion draft.... All i know, 1 goalie can be protected, that's a guarantee, that would be Helle... since he would be eligible to be "picked". Plus the latest rumor is 8 other skaters.. Ehlers,Connor,Morrissey,Petan,De Leo,Comrie etc would be exempt, couldn't be taken cuz their 3rd year wouldn't start until July 1st 2017 and the draft would be held in June 2017 before the NHL draft. That's really all anybody knows right now and even some of that could change. Helle, Buff,Trouba,Scheif,Wheeler and basically insert 4 more here... who knows who even. But those are 5 guys that would be guaranteed to be protected... Armia? I like him but he hasn't shown enough just yet to be considered a lock to be protected, Burmi? he's an RFA, why would you protect him, Stafford? UFA, why protect him, Perreault? UFA, why protect him unless he signs a new deal b4 hand... Little? who knows really, if we get Matthews perhaps they let Little go, hard to say, Lowry? seems like they like him so he'd probably be a candidate to be protected, Copp? Who knows, they like him also.. Dano? who knows... thorburn? doubtful, stuart? doubtful, chiarot is also a ufa or RFA after next season... When you actually look at it, realistically, the Jets might lose a bottom 2 d man (stu,postma,chiarot) or a bottom 6 forward (burmi,thorburn being most likely)

Yeah, but Myers never had a NMC, it apparently doesn't kick in until July 1st 2016 so he could be traded at the draft i guess or who knows, lots of people out there really don't have a clue what's up with Myers The Jets and the apparent NMC that he has or doesn't have coming July 1st. It's confusing for sure. The only people who actually know are Myers and Chevy. The rest is really just people guessing big time. I'd suspect if he does have it, you will probably see him moved at the draft. Who knows tho. The interesting part about NMC is players have to play a certain amount of years in the NHL to get one so Trouba for example, he couldn't have one until 2020 at the earliest..Scheif also, hence why Myers doesn't currently have one but might July 1st... cuz that's when he will be entering the start of his "eligible for NMC" year.

Except for the fact that Cormier wasn't called up and probably isn't on the list of emergency call ups Lipon,Kosmo,Petan,Morrissey = 4 emergency call ups. Melchiori was called up cuz Morrissey is hurt. Cormier won't be called up again and theres a good chance he's gone this off season. The other call up would probably be De Leo. Since weirdly enough Lipon and Morrissey, 2 emergency call ups are actually hurt. Theres a theme there, it's all guys drafted by the JETS who really haven't had a shot at the NHL just yet. They know what they have in Cormier, he's been around a while, what they have is a guy who isn't good enough for the NHL.. they know that.. Don't be surprised if another injury happens and De Leo is the guy they call up.

Myers NMC only kicks in if the Jets want it too tho, it's their choice. There are some thought that he actually doesn't have it since he was traded and the Jets didn't give him that NMC.. nobody knows for sure what Myers has except Myers and Chevy pretty much.

Yup. Because just cuz 1 guy got injured on it, doesn't mean others would be. Banning a move cuz 1 guy got injured out of 50 that took it, that's dumb.

I still think MB had a lot to do with our O struggles, especially on the Oline, i think his schemes were just that bad. We will see this year but i expect the OLINE to be much improved... Bryant is a good to great tackle, Chungh looked good and was a rookie, Goossen will be better than Picard, Daniels is very underrated as a tackle.. They have 4 good pieces on the OLINE, the one guard spot is a mystery but... maybe they go American there also... Think MB's Schemes played a huge role.. it's like Montreal all over again, he got canned and the next year they gave up less than half the sacks they gave up when he was there. I think history will repeat itself that way.

This is what happens when injuries occur. Ehlers,Armia,Lipon,Stuart are all hurt. What else can you do? You call guys up, just like Armia and Lipon were called up at one point and you see what they can do. This is a great time to do it, You aren't making the playoffs so why not call guys up, especially since they are all on an emergency basis due to injuries and see what they can do. Kosmo has looked ok, his corsi is pretty bad but he's looked ok... playing with Thorburn tho, i think makes anyone with Skill look worse than they are, guy has no hockey sense at all.. Lipon was looking really good on the 4th line, bringing the hits every night, perfect 4th liner... Petan gets to show what he's learned now in the A out there and apparently he will be playing with Kosmo and Lowry so... What can you do tho really? Toronto is tanking, we aren't, we just have injuries. When Ehlers is back, Armia is back... kosmo and petan will be sent down more than likely, unless another injury occurs.

He's been playing Center with the Moose so why not let him play his natural position. Lowry is a natural winger, Petan is not.

They won't, they will just make sure Edmonton doesn't win it. It won't happen.
