Well they didn't stop going to the Olympics because of the world cup because the world cup was around b4. Your theory is wrong. Bottom line there will be no superstars to pick. There will be lots of 3rd and 4th line players and maybe a couple 2nd line guys available but the guys making big money all have no trade or no move clauses and will be protected. Yes. They still have to take 30 players 23 man roster so they could take guys who maybe they can trade for picks or something A popular thought is they draft Raanta from the NYR. He's a goalie but because they have 2 draft 2 other goalies they trade him to WPG for lets say a 3rd and prospect who can play in the Ahl or maybe a guy In junior or ncaa or even Russia still

Malkin is also a center tho and ovi is a winger. Bit of a difference. Like I said tho Ovi isnt the only problem there. Laine is not similar to ovi at all actually. Minus the obvious one timer but Laine at 18 was more of a playmaker than ovi ever was.

Russian NHL players... you just can't build a team around and be successful cuz they don't care enough. It's how it is. Ppl can talk malkin but without Sid he's not as good. I will admit that the last game we went to we did go to citi place during intermission to use the bathroom as it was actually much quicker. Problem I guess I see is MTS has 15000 and a few hundred or so seats yet it's not really big enough to hold that many ppl... there are only so many bathrooms and so much space. I do think because a vocal minority will complain that they probably will find a spot for smokers. Like the bombers set up. It's possible to do that on Graham for sure. Just a temp fence set up thing.

So I guess Lawless will have to learn the Vegas expansion draft rules now cuz listening to H and L... he had no clue. His CFL reporting will be missed. His NHL reporting? Not as much as despite the fact that someone tends to pretty much die on the hill for Lawless his lack of knowledge was quite apparent at times and for a guy whose Job was to actually know sports... he had very little clue actually. Will I miss him? Nope. It's possible. Depends on the price. Also depends on who is available that they like. They won't trade in to the top 3. Cuz they just won't. Not worth it to pay the price. It also depends on who they like... perhaps they like 2 or 3 guys who they feel will be there at 13. I dunno. Normally I'd say go BPA also Cuz you aren't drafting for now you are drafting for the future but this time I guess I'll say I hope they draft BDA. Left or right is really irrelevant to me.
