Only Pav Buff Stu Wheeler Little and Thorburn remain from that 2011 team. The rest are either elsewhere in the NHL (Ladd,Hainsey,Fehr,Burmi,Bogo,Kane) or out of the league and game entirely.

He's gonna be this year Chychrun, by that i mean someone is gonna get him later then they should.

Problem with Czuczman is he's on an AHL contract only... they'd have to sign him and then he'd have to clear waivers and theres a chance that perhaps he doesn't.

Our D depth sucks, the rest of the depth is fine... Only Laine Scheif Ehlers,Morrissey,Roslovic,Connor and possibly Lowry would be my untouchables... yeah that includes Wheeler and Little, Why? Because I don't know how smart it is to hang on to them for much longer, Little is UFA after next season, Wheeler the season after, I'd seriously consider moving Little for some LHD help... and Wheeler? well, depends on what he wants in his next contract, if he wants long term big money, move him, if he's ok with a 2 or 3 year deal, you keep him, both these guys are well, one is over 30 and the other one is damn close to 30.

He could always trade Trouba for some LHD help. That's an option and i think a likely one, especially if theres no extension on July 1st for Trouba.. I think what you will see with Trouba is 2 possibilities , 1... he is traded at the draft or 2. He actually sticks around and signs long term July 1st when he can. Hamhuis wouldn't come here, he wanted to stay out west, this is a guy who refused to move his no move clause when Dallas, the team he signed with eventually wanted to trade for him, Russell? He's basically Mark Stuart.

Poolman and Niku look like they will be good players. Gotta start drafting more D men tho, Valimaki would be a guy I'd hope they look at this draft.

Pascal Vincent was hired Jully 22nd 2011. Regardless of what his role was, he was a guy that was hired when NOEL was also, just like Huddy, Just like Flaherty.

I'll just say this... I think Flaherty and Huddy need to go, i really do, they have been here 6 years with poor results, It's time to move on from them and i think at the very least, that will happen this off-season. However, because it's pretty obvious that they are just doing what Maurice pretty much tells them to do, I'm not sure how many changes you would see to the on ice product, in terms of coaching, the buck starts and stops with Maurice so... In a way, Unless Maurice goes, then I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference in the end to get rid of Huddy and Flaherty, I'm all for canning Hudding and Flaherty, I just don't think firing them would make much difference in the end.

Wasn't Vincent hired at the same time Noel was, Noel and Pearn got canned at the same time, Vincent was with the team at the time and stuck around with Maurice.

I'd say Matthias was the big free agent splash and all in all, I'd say he's been pretty good. Penalty Shots are Penalty shots, Pav played that 1 fine, might have been 2 deep when the shot was taken but was a nice shot. I never blamed him for the goal there, i blamed him for not coming 3 feet out of his net to play the puck when he had the chance to before trouba "slashed" the san jose player. On a penalty shot, you want to be farther out of the net, make the guy make a nice move to beat you really, the idea is to limit his options but because PAV was a bit to deep in the net when the shot was taken and even before hand, the san jose player had a bunch of options, decided to fire it pretty much right at Pavs glove, Pav missed it. It happens but... i thought he played it fine other than maybe being 2 deep in the net when the shot was actually taken. Come out, cut down the angle, it's not like the san jose player went bar down or picked a corner or anything, he made a pretty basic shot at the glove hand, Pav missed. It is what it is. Hard to blame him for that one. But it probably should have been stopped. I mean, that's the moment in the game where you need the goalie to make the big save, garbage call, penalty shot, make the save really, huge turning point. If Pav stopped it, perhaps the Jets get a point at least... I dunno, i actually thought the burns goal was the weak one, seeing as how nobody was in front of pavelec and it pretty much went right through his 5 hole.

Well, using the old eye test, I think it's pretty obvious that the Assistants just do what the coach tells them to do. I mean, you look at our PP and PK this year as an example, looks eerily similar to last year and the year before in terms of the system we use, Well, Vincent isn't around to scape goat anymore so it's pretty obvious to me that Kompon might be in charge but... he's running Maurices systems. Huddy definitely runs the D tho, I've been to games and sat close enough to the bench at times to definitely see Huddy working with the D through out the game, basically sending Buff out every minute or so, It's pretty obvious he's in charge of how many minutes a guy plays every game, I'm not sure what else he would do as again, i think it's fairly obvious that he's also running Maurices systems.

I wouldn't be surprised if SASK was the only team actually willing to give him a chance. I think his attitude is poison and i think SASK was the only team offering him a contract.

I thought when Maurice was hired he had the option to Keep Flaherty and Huddy or bring in his own guys, he chose to keep them. Perhaps in the end that's his downfall but perhaps in the end, it's his saving grace as he could say, well, how about we fire charlie and wade and let me bring my own guys in, even tho it's pretty apparent that it's Maurices systems or lack there of they are running, PP and PK look the same as they have now for 2 years. Last year Vincent was made the scape goat, This year? who knows, it will be someone irrelevant tho and if Maurice is back next season, the PP and PK will continue to struggle, why? because everywhere he's coached, it's been the same story.

What does that even mean

Other teams around the league have less D talent than we do yet play a pretty solid D system. We run around playing Man to man D. It's not so much the talent as it is the system they are asked to play.

The obvious choice would be Kompon but Maurice won't be fired mid season. It's pointless now. Off season? Maybe
