Not giving TE or BP much help is an odd way for development. I expect the O to struggle week 1. I think I’d have given Zach and the starters a quarter at the least. Fredrickson must really stand out at practice tho cuz dude sucked during the game.

So if I’m reading this correctly people who already prob pay for Amazon or Netflix (I do that) are upset cfl games are on another service they don’t currently pay for? Cool story. This is what is needed and who is to say this will fail, maybe the cfl plus numbers suggest more international fans are watching than people think. Also. Why is it hard to believe right now that we would maybe be trying the international route instead of the USA route right now? Is anyone paying attention to what’s going on there like at all? Canada as a whole is distancing ourselves from the USA. I’ll bet cfl plus numbers showed a large number of international fans were watching.

Terry screwed his career likely. He prob could have been that 3rd and inches guy but dude quit cuz he wasn’t handed the backup job. Thats not good. I mean if he did anything to earn it I’d understand but he sucked. When you have more confidence in starting a pretty much broken Streveler who didn’t even throw 10 passes one game over you? Yeah don’t think you got a future as a starter. Personally didn’t think they would bring him back this year. Was kinda surprised when they did bring him back

Ya but you got a guy who will quit when he’s passed on the depth chart. Most QBs can do sneaks also. I don’t think you bring a guy in just cuz he can sneak a ball. That’s riders crazy. Terry couldn’t throw a ball 10 yards. In the cfl if you can’t throw you’re not gonna be a starter. I think you bring In QBs who have potential to start not guys who ceiling is sneaking the ball on 3rd and inches.

I doubt it. I mean. I’m sure it will play a role but I don’t think dudes necessarily make teams based just on a pre season game or 2. I think coaches generally have a good idea going into game 2 who is and isn’t making it and I think the game either confirms their original thoughts or maybe makes them think a bit but in the end if dude sucks all week at practice but goes off game time well, that’s a decision isn’t it. Just seems from a fan perspective game 2 is more starters get the first half then its guys who will make the team playing with lots of guys who won’t and then finally in the 4th it’s those guys that prob stood out the most that you want another look at but by then your opponent is playing their cuts also. Logically tho the Canadian QB who has never played a pro game before except nfl pre season is likely gonna need some time to develop over a guy who was league mvp of the UFL recently but I mean until or if Zach gets hurt, who is QB 2 and 3 don’t matter cuz it’s Zach Taylor and BP regardless like those are the 3 QBs and until Zach gets hurt it don’t matter who 2 or 3 is The RB last year was the pre season star. Cut weeks later now working for the man.

Thing is when talking bomber receivers you need to bring up Milton cuz he is the true gold standard on and off the field. Kenny maybe more in the Arland Bruce III group tho. A tier below Milton. So who is in that group? Geroy? Not as a bomber. Robert Gordon? Possibly. I mean. I dunno. Schoen probably ranks higher than Kenny as Schoen was the man from game 2 or 3 on. Where would Kenny rank I wonder.

I don’t disagree about Ayers but in the bombers view it appears versatility and special teams play is important. Could be a stud LB tho so if I’m being serious about change it’s Kyrie or Tony who I’m sitting. 6 game Tony and give Ayers and Shay chances in the middle. Why not. Tony isn’t Bighill. What does JY value really. Extra DL? Extra LB. Or maybe guys who are tweener types who maybe aren’t the best at one thing but pretty good at something else like Ayers cuz dude is the sp teams demon, maybe that is more valued to the coaches than a guy who maybe isn’t the sp teams dynamo but for 3 or 4 snaps a game, I mean honestly outside of Dixon and Jenkins, nobody really stood out on the d line. Reese did but he’s prob the ideal pr guy. None of the extra DT did.

Pretty much is tho. Bombers didn’t want to pay him as much as Hamilton did. Here’s reality. The bombers could have offered 300,000 dollars per. Hamilton would offer 301,000. Lawler takes the 301. That’s the guy he is. He’s a great player for 1/3 of the season. He’s just not for the other 2/3rds. The spectacular catches don’t happen every game. But good for him. Wonder how much is guaranteed cuz almost 400 on a 34 yr old in 3 years might not age well.

I’m not a Habs fan at all but looked like they were the team to beat. Not anymore. Things change quickly. I don’t care who wins at all. Jets gone means no horse in race. Montreal was looking unstoppable. Like a team of destiny. Didn’t know MacKinnon was hurt and didn’t know Colorado is non playoff team bad without him.

Well. Jarvis would bring the cup to Winnipeg but so would Vegas guys. I dunno. It would be interesting if canes win , the Ehlers angle there, would maybe be interesting only cuz Maurice left and won a cup almost immediately also. Wheeler did not. I dunno.

I enjoyed Kenny as a bomber but the greatest bomber receiver I’ve ever seen is number 85 Milt Stegall and it’s not close. Milt was consistent game in game out. Dude didn’t really ever go MIA. Never was an off field distraction either. Some folks didn’t like his humour or cockiness if you will but never caused problems. Stuck around even when we sucked. Wanted to win so badly as a bomber. I enjoyed Kenny and I get why guys chase the bank if you will but I respect a guy like milt who probably could have but didn’t. Wanted to win here. Kenny seems to just chase the money. I get it. It’s all good but I think I prefer guys who putting winning first. All the power to him, some GM paid him. That’s great. A sucker is born every day. Good for Kenny but he’s not the greatest bomber receiver ever or even close.

Billionaires live longer than us common folk. And that’s what he would be. I don’t want to get into it but did you see the ghouls who donate to American politics? They are all very very very old.

Think Taylor based on size alone could do short yardage easily but Perkins appears more “pro” ready. I think you could build a game plan around either tho. I could see Taylor since he’s more Zach like taking over if Zach injured in game but maybe Perkins starts with a week of practice type thing.

I dunno. Did Hamilton win the grey cup? Argument could be made that paying 1 receiver that much is a detriment to the rest of the team. He’s 1 receiver out of 5 or 6 who line up. To justify that money you almost have to throw him the ball all game long every game and while that works occasionally it doesn’t all the time. That’s great for Kenny but the QB needs to be upright to throw him the ball and I feel the cats oline will once again be their downfall. And D. Cats are all O. Bo throws for 5000 yards and they lose.

The thing guys like Ayers and Woodbey have that I think gives them a leg up is versatility to play other positions. Woodbey is essentially a DB. Ayers is a sp teams demon and can play DE in a pinch but prob best at LB. JY doesn’t seem to value the DL as much as say Hall did. JY don’t really run that traditional D. Lots of rotating and versatility required. And we know sp teams is important to O’Shea so Ayers likely has a spot as does Woodbey jones and Kyrie. If JSK was healthy then you have a decision but I think in a JY D ( junkyard dog) the versatility matters. I think if you don’t dress the 4th LB it’s either jones or kyrie who sits because of lack of versatility. I dunno about jones. All his tackles are after yards gained.

All in all thought Elgersma was fine. His first pass was a bad drop. Kinda tells the story there.
