Now when Canadians are as patriotic as they have ever been would be a good time for a fun marketing campaign regarding the CFL. Lego video of cfl teams. Man they missing the boat here. I can see the commercial I just can’t put it together and trust me the kids would love it. Now is the time with I AM CANADIAN actually mattering again. Heck have that dude narrate it. I’m unsure but use people like beiber and reynolds and gosling to promote it even. Gosling is like the most popular actor around. He’s a ******* Canadian. Use him. Change rules or whatever else, that’s a fun original XFL gimmick but you gotta promote the damn league.

Dom makes me think Helle should be traded for a haul. Helle is an opinionated person. He got into it over covid years ago, when they winning he’s prob ok to deal with but when losing I’m not sure I’d want to be his team mate. Dom is the exact opposite. His interview post game screamed leader and just not Helle. Honestly Helle is also at the age where goalies tend to fall off, lundqvist did around this age. If a team offers me a 1st and 2 center for Helle I take it. Sign a vet backup and give dom a shot. Cuz outside of Vasy in Tampa the goalies left in the playoffs are a bunch of who’s. Helle appears to be a good systems goalie but with the system is broken so is he. Dude had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career outside of 2 weeks on an all star team. Ask yourself when was the last time Helle stole a game? The Nashville series a few years ago now really. I like the guy also but taking off the jets tinted glasses, if you can get a haul for him you do it. And a haul for a goalie usually isn’t much but American hero and perception prob means a team like New Jersey might hmm they actually traded a 1st for Cory Schneider. If they throw in Nemec or Mercer plus their 1st I’m having a hard time saying no. Scheif and Josh are my only untouchable. 1 C. 1 D. KC is also close to untouchable cuz I think him and Scheifele are pretty much tied at the hip. You trade KC? Scheifele wants out. You trade scheif, KC wants out. Vilardi and Samberg ? I’d need an overpay on them but the rest of the roster minus the 1st or 2nd year jets (Rosen Salo Koepke types) I’m open to moving them. Lowry also but his contract is gonna age ugly.

Each market is different. Until teams realize that then nothing changes. I don’t know what other places do to promote the teams to the locals but here in Winnipeg it’s bombers and jets basically 24 7. CFL can make all the changes they want, some will work, some will fail, people will always complain but in the end, football is gonna be non contact pulling a flag out of a guys ass cheek one day so extra games or play ins like the nba and AFL (Australia) do is fun. I think weather tho is way more unpredictable in April may than November tho. And competing with Stanley cup playoffs is just dumb. Honestly they play outside in Green Bay and buffalo (rip outside bills games) in January. Why is November a big deal. We are Canada. We should be embracing the weather later in the year. Bombers were a disaster 15 years ago.. now they making nhl team profits. CFL didn’t help with that. Wade and the local community made it happen. That needs to happen every where else. So of the 2 linebackers who is likely to fill the Gauthier special teams role better. I like the DB. Nice size there. Also turns out the kicker is a punter also. The only sorta issue is the weather is all over the place. It literally snowed last night here. Melted quick but it snowed and it’s still chilly at night and during the day. But maybe it’s better than late November but not really. So the Victoria Day start is gonna be interesting. It’s also the first real weekend ppl go camping or to the cabins here. Bombers and jets have played on the same days in the past. They will again in the future. Non issue. I don’t think there’s that many dual season ticket holders. Jets basically cost a house for season tickets. Bombers = a trip to Costco. Bombers = family. Jets = The rich and wealthy now. Also you could make the argument that the bombers are actually more popular than the Jets in Winnipeg. They charge way less. Draw way more and they make about as much as the jets do in 42 games compared to 9 maximum 10 games for the bombers. Plus a big one, less d bags at football games than hockey ones. Jets would be better off if a guy like Wade was running them and not chipman (recent rumours suggest he might be kind of a big problem) yeah the owner. Yup. Kyle and Chevy are similar I’d say. Jets haven’t had an O’Shea tho. Maybe Maurice was close but not quite.

That whole round 2 was wacky. Were other teams questionable picks because coaching? And is it really that questionable? It’s the cfl draft. It’s a crapshoot to begin with. No. That’s just here right. You really think O’Shea was like yeah this dude that wasn’t at the combine, take him. Honestly. Logic sometimes. The fact this guy wasn’t at the combine should tell you he’s a 100 percent a guy who the scouts loved.

Bombers traded their 2nd next year to move up. They must like him but we also generally get the extra pick at round 2 because of Canadians starting so essentially we traded 13 for 10. We will likely still have a 2nd in 2027. Also from the video, if people think O’Shea is making these picks, you are dead wrong. Scouts and Kyle 100 percent. Osh is there just to be there. Maybe because Vacarro or any of the oline aren’t as good as American oline? I mean Vacarro isn’t a tackle. He’s a center or guard. I mean the reality is we are prob going 3 American oline and prob gonna stay that way for a while and it’s the right move cuz in reality most Canadian oline prob aren’t as good as American ones and the American ones are cheaper you should be able to replace them every few years. The Canadians you pay almost overpay them. I can see a future where only 1 oline is Canadian in the future. Why play your Canadians on the oline when you can play them elsewhere. The DE TE LBs etc can also be Canadians. Shay smith Kramdi Lawson Demski Brady oline plus nationalized dude and there you go really. Nield. You don’t need oline. Why have lesser players protecting your basically your franchise QB.

Guess what. They wouldn’t be making changes if what they have been doing was working. More revenue is the bottom line. CFL audience is aging out. It’s irrelevant what a bunch of older dudes online say and think, it matters what your kid and their kids think. Players liked it cuz they get another game check or 2. Teams like it cuz extra home game or 2. Revenue. Money. Future.
