They don’t seem to care about pressure and sacks as much as other teams. They have allowed 70 points less than the guys who do tho. So whatever the bombers are doing is working better than what B.C. is doing. You and others want them to concentrate more on sacks and pressure. That’s not really the Younger way tho. Our D is built around our defensive backs really. It’s built around coverage and basically confusion. It’s not about sacks and pressure and hasn’t been since JY took over really.

Have ppl actually been to practice since the 90s? Cuz it ain’t what it used to be. My daughter and I checked one out in August I believe, she was off school still and we left after 15 minutes. Went to bomber store and that was that. Nothing happens. There was more contact and ppl moving faster at the bomber store than on field. Less shouting but definitely more contact at the store cuz I bumped into a rack and it almost fell over. That was more than we saw on the field. At this point of season I’d think keeping guys like Neufeld healthy would be more important cuz we all know if he got hurt in practice most of you would lose your **** on O’Shea. Neufeld is what he is. He isn’t gonna be getting any better or worse. He is what he is. I’d rather keep guys healthy than send them out for meaningless practice. Honestly they should change practice to walk throughs cuz essentially that’s what it’s become.

I go back to Demario Houston who was here with hall as DC and now Younger. Even Houston a vet admitted he needed a few weeks to get the terminology and schemes down. I would guess for a guy brand new to Canada never mind the cfl, it’s gonna take some time to get used to everything. I think our D scheme is a little more complex than BCs. BC spent money on betts and the DL and want the sacks. We seem to be content with just pressure and if we get a sack in the process, great. I feel some teams D live and die on sacks and pressure, ours ? Not so much. But then I see B.C. has given up 454 points through 16 games. Bombers 373 through 15. I’ll be honest. I wish tsn promoted the cfl like fox promotes the UFL tho. That would be a huge start. You can’t say fox isn’t promoting it cuz they do. I’ll say this. Bones was known as a D first system guy. Arniel was a D first guy also. They worked together and created this current system. Scotty tweeked it last year to allow more O creativity and it worked like crazy. I don’t like that we got old as a team like real old but maybe we will be ok. I mean aslong as CSV are ok and Helle is healthy. Cuz we been a one line team for 5 years now.

Cole and Samberg were roomies and are bff. It’s not overly surprising Cole got hurt. But without Cole and JT you are basically left with CSV to score all the goals cuz 2/3 of line 2 is injured. Nino names Chib should be a line. They looked like fire when they did play together. Mad chemistry there. This team tho when at its best is a defensively strong really D first strong system team so if the newbs got Arniels system down, it might be like plug n play. And might not notice the difference really. Just the names will be different on the back. And if that’s the case, maybe we are gonna be ok. Jets have been a top regular season team for years now, they might even be the best the past more than couple seasons combined, definitely top 5 combined probably the last 3 years now. That’s cuz of the system. And Helle but D first so the goalie is really your number 1 D.

Laine was overrated. Armia made one deke every 30 games and was overrated. Ppl wanted to pick up the bust pool party cuz Finn. People on HFBoards were comparing heinola to miro heiskanen. Heiskanen a legit top D in the league. Sami fricking Niku. Ville just another overrated Finn who busted in Winnipeg. The search for the next Teemu and Teppo continue.
