Typical TSN. Couldn't they give their sideline guy an umbrella?? Mickey Mouse. They have such a good panel in the studio then cheapen the broadcast with guys like Rod Black doing pbp & expect their sideline reporter to perform like a professional in a monsoon.

Brandon, you know they sold over 30k tickets for the game. You know a lot of people come from out of town to attend the game. Can't exactly get to the game if the hwy you're travelling on is closed. Though I'm sure what you're saying in tongue in cheek. At least, I hope it is. 

Have you even bothered to look at any of the pictures of the flooding? There are highways closed because of flooding. There are a number of communities that have declared a State of Emergency. Brandon's been hit by the same storm and have also declared a State of Emergency.

Looks like Sask. dredged up Earl Campbell, can't recall a big lumbering back like that in the league for quite awhile.  Looks like he'll be a good challenge for Etch's defence.  Very anxious to see how the Bombers fare against this Rider team, should be a good indicator of how far they've come and how far they need to progress.

Thank God we didn't get the Riders in week one.

I hope you're kidding. They gave all the reasons not to punish the kid but I didn't see one reason why they shouldn't. I'm a strong believer in kids needing to be accountable for their actions. Indeed, adults, all of us.

who ever said anything even close to that? I said ticket sales for the Bombers are always lower a week before the game. In Winnipeg most of the non season ticket holders buy their tickets last minute. No one expects a sell out on this team, they need to rebuild a lot of the casual fans trust, but they'll get into the 25000+ range I have no doubts, especially if it's a nice evening. 

I absolutely think that their record will improve in the next couple seasons. They're gonna need time to adjust in the tougher division though. I probably would have said more like 7-11 if they were still in the East.

It always drives me crazy when people call the Riders, "Canada's team". They are not. They're Saskatchewan's team. There are 8 other teams that are in Canada, so to call them Canada's team makes no sense.

I watched it happen. Going to university in Brandon and then moving to Calgary I knew a lot of people from Saskatchewan and I watched almost every single one of them become a "huge rider fan" starting in about 2003 when I knew damned well they didn't know the first thing about football.

Thought I'd start a new thread relating to today's ratification vote. This could become a very busy topic if the players vote down the pending deal. I wonder when the results will be released to the media? #keepingmyfingerscrossed
