I don't think Milt is thinking that this is some kind of stunt....He wants meaningful reps. ...Gotta give it to him and I'd like to see him take a long bomb to the house courtesy of the newbie Barriere.....Some guys just refuse to get old...lol

But, I'm certain MOS wouldn't let Milt take any meaningful reps. I would hope he's just a positive influence for the rookies in camp. 
 

"Cap" isn't applied at all until the end of the season.  It's a salary management system, not a hard cap.  The only major pro league in North America with a hard cap is the NHL.  Meaning that the cap number is calculated daily within the season and if a team is over the league will automatically put on waivers the player(s) needed to make the team meet the cap number.
For CFL they simply add up salary and bonuses paid Jan 1 to Dec 31 - exemptions for 6 game following the season.  
You could play way over the pace to exceed the limit and the penalty isn't applied until after the season and on the next draft.
I don't think he's coming but almost anyone could make room.  I'd bet heavily on Toronto or BC should he ever return.  They'd trade or cut their current starter.

Cap isn't applied till the teams first game active roster is submitted to the league. Like Jcon said, you'd cut guys to make him work. Be it regular season or otherwise. Teams also don't immediately spend the entire cap as well. Some reserve has to be left for PR expansions, nfl cut down guys etc. Our cap is likely the most flexible hard cap of any sports league in north America. 

It’s not like hockey, you need that across the board in football. I also have no concern about us finding that in their replacements. No matter the performance of their replacements don’t bring it they’ll be cut.

Chad Owens & Weston Dressler get into the CFHOF but Robert Drummond & Craig Ellis don't. No politics there.
Drummond was a dominant running back for the Baltimore Stallions, Argos & Lions. He rushed for nearly 6,706 yards & scored 66 touchdowns rushing. Drummond caught another 391 passes for 4,033 yards & 18 touchdowns. He had 10,790 all purpose yards & scored 78 touchdowns. Drummond was the 2000 CFL MOP. & had numerous all star awards. While Ellis had 12,828 all purpose yards, scored 88 touchdowns. Ellis was 2 time CFL West Division & All Canadian as well. 

Farhan, who was convinced the CFL couldn't survive without the XFL and tried to convince everyone else of this, is going into the HOF. The bar is so tremendously low for entry, it kind of makes it worthless.

We got a class full of blood n guts fifo football players, but with lots of upside and talent. Going to be a fun group to watch.

I like that signing...Talked to a few peeps familiar with him and rave about his work ethic and ST work...will fit in here realy well with the FIFO thing
The bonus is as a guy coming in to fill the Miller role...as fullback he actually has the skill set and athleticism to be a threat out there and fully expect him to get some usage in that role....guys will need to be aware of him sliding out of the backfield on short yardage plays....he not respected, he could gobble up serious yards on pitches and swing passes...and 2 back sets in goal line area with him and BO together is gonna be a big plus too...Hoping too that Samson can push Thomas to the PR or the pasture...for the amount of reps Jake should get, ne better served with the young Bull....which can put him that much more further ahead in development for 2025...and depending on the defensive ratuio and where we choose to use the 1 starter we need...we may not even need to use a National DT save for just rotation and keeping guys fresh....which I hope is the way we are headed especially with Ford back....and if we actually use the Nationlized Yank option
