  1. Al Couture always knows what to do.
  2. Is that Danielle Smith trying to stuff her brain back into her head?
  3. "The Spoils of Babylon" is excellent, I've never heard of this series before as it was made in 2014 well before I owned a TV, it stars Tobey Maguire, Kristen Wiig, Tim Robbins, Jessica Alba, Val Kilmer, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, and Will Ferrell. Completely over the top in all regards.
  4. Bighill fined for his helmet to helmet hit on QB Shea Patterson on the early 3rd down sneak play against the Riders. Looks like the CFL may be cracking down on LB's flying over the top like targeted missiles this season. https://3downnation.com/2023/06/21/cfl-fines-winnipegs-adam-bighill-ottawas-gary-johnson-jr-following-week-2/
  5. I hope Zach was given the message, no more running upfield, too many players out there to trust one of them won't eventually try to take his head off in exchange for a 15 yd. penalty. On the handful of times he ran the ball last season, first time he was concussed and the last time he injured his leg in the W.F. which led to a poor G.C. performance which they lost.
  6. Sure hope so, time to unveil Piggy to the rest of the league and get the party started. Expecting this to be a statement game like they served Rourke and the Lions early last season, being a home game makes it all that much better. Letting all pretenders know, that's exactly what they are. The only way V.A. performs above expectations is if he's given too much time to process, got to get after him.
  7. The Righteous Gemstones have returned for their 3rd season, a wonderful Christian program full of love and joy.
  8. From her unbridled enthusiasm in the following video it sure seems like Michelle Rempel already knew this story had a short shelf life and was about to get pulled, she's almost peeing her pants she's so excited. https://twitter.com/nlmedia11/status/1670859466739261441 To quote Rempel: "Okay huge news is breaking, you need to share this video, this news has to get out here." "You got to share this video because we have to get it out through all these news bands before Justin Trudeau shuts them down." It's a weird coincidence this story broke on the morning of a byelection.
  9. Meanwhile in Alberta, David Parker the leader of the Take Back Alberta movement that backstopped Smith, has emerged from radio silence during the election period and is once again out promoting methods of discrimination among the masses. https://twitter.com/i/status/1669873407989800961 https://twitter.com/thebreakdownab/status/1670093706026967040?s=21 Sorry, no idea how to display twitter lately.
  10. I was referring to the Ti-Cats situation, but point taken.
  11. Yep, from reading the earlier article posted it was unclear how long they've been running these tours and whether they've done it successfully before. Couldn't pay me $250k to go on that ride, without a proven track record of success to back it up. Hopefully rules are established to discourage or disallow further ventures of this nature. Question is, who has the authority to do so?
  12. Mel Brooks "History of the World Part 2" latest series is hit or miss, some episodes good, some not so. Glad he presented it as a series of 25 min. sketches and didn't try to tie it together as a movie.
  13. It's pretty amazing how healthy the Bomber O-line has remained over the years, occasionally one will get injured, but never 3 at one time. That would be a difficult gap to plug for any team.
  14. That's the thing, no receiver is worth $300K, but here we are.
  15. Not far from the truth, he didn't play long but he's suffered extensive brain damage, he said at times he couldn't read the clock or the score because his vision was so blurry. Also didn't want the Bombers to know, so he used the Jets doctors to diagnose the extent of the damage, they told him if he continued playing football he could potentially die on the field.
  16. Didn't Corney just quit? It appears he's gone into body-building seriously and is hoping to turn pro. Found the following interview with Corney done in 2022, turns out a brain bleed and serious concussion issues were the reasons he chose to retire. The entire interview is pretty interesting but he starts talking about his time with the Bombers about 15 minutes in.
  17. Fox is goode, depth at DT solved once Lawson returns, even Schmeckle contributed good push in collapsing pockets against the Riders. One good DE away from D-line returning to ferocious with or without Jeffcoat in the lineup, widespread panic abated, all hale Walters, he did it again.
  18. He's not as manly as Bea Arthur either.
  19. Just trying to sneak one past you, I guess Teague will have to wait a bit longer.
  20. Schoen is proving last season was no fluke, using mental strength and motivation he outworks every other receiver and DB on the field, and certainly deserves to be among the top paid receivers in the league. Walters has 6 months to contemplate the can of worms he cracked open by paying Lawler money that should really be going into Schoen's pocket. His easy out is if Schoen catches on with the NFL in the off-season.
  21. Teague Sherman is also ready to go when the opportunity presents.
  22. Cornelius looks to have regressed, it seemed like he was beginning to figure out the game by the end of last season, but not much evidence of that now. Not sure the main reason but it can't help not having any experienced CFL QB in the room to add guidance even during his rookie season. Only Jones would throw 3 rookie QB's together in a room to figure out how to prepare and play the game, it's almost like expecting a bunch of 5 year olds to step up and run a daycare. I don't think Jones has any understanding of the offensive side of the ball and just leaves it up to McAdoo, who doesn't seem to know anything about QB's either, so he hired his buddy Jarious Jackson to babysit them.
