  1. O'Shea said on the Coach's Show he's out for a couple more weeks. He also said Adams accumulated 500 yards in 5 games.
  2. Condolences. If you bought it at Costco you can take it back, even if you don't have a receipt.
  3. They're only one injury to to BLM away from faltering. Tate is too slack to pick up the slack. Exhibit "A" Exhibit "B"
  4. The Stamps have a good O-line but that won't prevent the Bombers finding a way to get to Mitchell if he sits in the pocket, he is going to have to scramble a lot to avoid the rush and his accuracy suffers when he does that. Sure hope Wild is back in the lineup. As for the O the RB is going to be critical for outlet passes, I hope they dress both Flanders and Harris.
  5. Loffler is a revelation, when was the last time a Canadian player came out of the blue and performed like he has in his first season? I honestly can't recall another.
  6. It took a long, long time for O'Shea and Walters to field a competitive team but it appears they have finally reached their objective. They now have the personnel and depth to make the playoffs this season in the topsy-turvy CFL and are competitive enough to take a run at the Stamps. Right now they're riding on a magical wave of brotherly love that looks good on O'shea and will probably earn him his next contract. Continuing the winning trend after free agency this off-season will confirm whether they have the right personnel and coaching staff in place to progress in the playoffs or if a major upgrade at QB is necessary for them to become perennial challengers for the GC.
  7. Can't help feeling Benevides is in for a quick one and out as DC to be replaced by Noel Thorpe in the off-season. The Esks are looking more like the team they were 3 years ago than the team they were last year. Grand ole vets. better start playing for their jobs or there will be mucho turn-over of personnel for next year.
  8. Chris Jones type contracts are bad for the CFL, they distort the salary structure and award megalomaniacs with too much power. Hope other teams see this as an epic failure and don't venture down this road. Not that this has anything to do with O'Shea's renegotiation.
  9. I think Wild was missed, he could have helped in shutting down Whittaker. Burnett had 4 tackles, Wild may have had 8-10.
  10. Weird injury, from what I heard he lost a thumbnail but the way they escorted him to the dressing room with one guy supporting his arm it looked like a shoulder or elbow injury.
  11. Flanders looked good from the git go in TC, if it wasn't for Harris this guy would be their starting back.
  12. Smith could be back next week.
  13. I vote for Nichols, he finally did what we were hoping he could and for once the O saved the D's ass.
  14. Right, that might happen if they played for the Als.
  15. Flanders is going to be stoked, I predict he runs wild.
  16. Take her to the game, we need a positive event to nullify last weeks publicity debacle.
  17. That kind of explains what happened to Willy.
  18. Now fielding the finest team that money can buy!
  19. Rod was just too stupid to realize that you don't bite the hand that feeds. The guy is a complete moron.
  20. I've watched every game so far, twice in fact. What I've seen is a Richie Hall pass D with a soft underbelly that allows for a lot of completions and yards gained underneath. The high tackle numbers by various members of the secondary and the LB crew attest to this strategy as they are often making tackles on completions that happen in front of them and are rarely caught in chase mode. Johnson, Fogg and Leggett cover the toughest SB's on each team but they also have to help out with the run game and cut off sweeps, so all 3 have difficult jobs. Johnson has made a number of outstanding plays since he returned from injury and is the main reason for their 7 game winning streak. He should be given a place in the Ring of Honour tomorrow in place of Leo Lewis who doesn't really care anymore . Pfffftttt! to all Johnson haters.
  21. So Johnson has become this year's version of a "whipping boy"? Too bad Macho lost his starters job and this important designation at the same time. Why is it so necessary to single out a player as a problem when he has played no better or worse than any other member of the secondary? Every member of that secondary has been burned on occasion (Adams, Fogg, Frederick, Roberts, Jones) and yet they have still performed remarkably well as a unit despite the continual rotation of players. Heath does not automatically get Johnson's job, he has to prove he is a better player on the field, within this secondary.
