  1. If you haven't heard "Canada's Team" is in demand in every city, in every province....this I know, cause the Rider fans tell me so...
  2. LMAO at the second video! Seriously excellent work by this company, a few years down the road I expect to see an advanced version robot football on TV. No more concussion issues or torn ACL's. Geeks rule!.
  3. I think criticism of Medlock's punting ability is mostly directed at his average yards per punt, what it doesn't account for is the hang-time and ball placement he achieves.
  4. As long as the Bombers are in every game for the first 6 it will be a good sign, from Labour Day on is when it counts. If O'Shea can't find a way to beat the top 3 teams this year, he doesn't deserve a new contract. Walters has earned another contract but he has to improve the scouting staff or flush it.
  5. A big part of their strategy will be to make it so inconvenient and unattractive to switch packages that 95% of their customers won't bother.
  6. Golden rule #1. Never hire a contractor that shows up wearing a false nose and moustache.
  7. Here's to the Bombers putting the wins on the board themselves and not having to rely on other teams sucking to make the playoffs.
  8. If you could find Corey Chamblin he might tell you all about the security a contract extension buys. Is Wally allowed to offer a contract extension to himself?
  9. This is where I'm not so certain who is in control. It's not Lulays knee that's the problem. It's his shoulder. He hasn't looked the same since he first hurt it. And he's one hit away from it being damaged again. Do want to go into the season with him as the starter, and no Jennings to back him up even? Lulay didn't look like he could get the team to the playoffs last year. Jennings looked like the future, sure the jury is still out. But that's not the case with Lulay. Jennings and his new agent must see this as well. So does Buono have the power in owning a contract that is cheap, and a proven, yet injury prone Vet already under Contract. Or is Jennings in control by being (as it stands now anyway) the best chance for the team to win. Is Buono on thin ice right now? Can he survive a loosing season, when he has a potential star QB not playing becuase he (bouno) is knowingly being cheap? I don't know. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. This. After a 7-11 season Wally is already on thin ice, the one and out with Tedford was a debacle in all respects. Looks to me as if BC has spent this off-season rummaging through the bargain basement for coaching staff and free agents and will be lucky to make the playoffs.
  10. That knowledge may help you better understand "why you're going to die" as you fall from the skies, but it's not likely to prevent it. The episode featuring the death of John Kennedy Jr. should be mandatory viewing for any small airplane pilot.
  11. This probably has nothing to do with the topic you guys are discussing but one of my favorite programs is Mayday, which is a Canadian produced documentary series that investigates air crashes and is shown on the National Geographic Channel every so often. Very interesting that 95% of air disasters can be attributed to human error somewhere along the line, either before or during the flight. In the near future I expect that we will see a fully qualified pilot on standby but not at the controls, computers don't need oxygen to function, don't become suicidal and seldom lose track of where the ground is.
  12. The following article explains the rise of Trump pretty well. http://www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11127424/trump-authoritarianism The rise of American authoritarianism A niche group of political scientists may have uncovered what's driving Donald Trump's ascent. What they found has implications that go well beyond 2016.
  13. You can get a US credit card through any of the Canadian banks now, I've had one for years. Not sure about annual fees but it allows you to pay the monthly bill in USD and not deal with the poor exchange rates C.C. companies charge. As for traveling in countries other than the US, everywhere I've traveled I've seen Interac machines and as long as they're physically attached to a bank they should be safe and reliable. Having a couple of hundred worth in local cash on hand works for me, especially in 2nd and 3rd world countries where most vendors are not going to take credit cards anyway. If you get robbed you lose a couple of hundred and not the damn card which can be difficult to quickly shut down or replace.
  14. Semi-automatic in a women's washroom, no problem, but bring in a penis and they freak. The demise of American culture is upon us.
  15. gary lawless ✔ @garylawless Winnipeg born NHL legend Andy Bathgate has passed away at 83. Condolences to his family.
  16. Apparently he does. http://www.stampeders.com/2016/02/26/walter-released/ Calgary Stampeders general manager John Hufnagel announces that the team has released national running back Matt Walter. “I thank Matt for all of his contributions to the club over the past four seasons and wish him the best of luck,” said Hufnagel. “Although we did recently re-sign Jerome Messam, we have increased roster flexibility heading into the 2016 season and it’s no longer necessary for us to start a national at running back and to have a national backup.” Walter was a fifth-round draft pick of the Stamps in 2011 and he joined the team in 2012. He played 59 career regular-season games — including 14 starts — for Calgary and accumulated 1,264 rushing yards and four touchdowns as well as 28 receptions for 217 yards. He was also a contributor on special teams with 11 tackles and eight kickoff returns for 160 yards. The University of Calgary product appeared in eight post-season contests and was a member of the Stamps’ 2014 Grey Cup-winning team.
  17. Pa: Hey Ma, what's to eat? Ma: I dunno Pa, go look in the cupboard. Pa: No food in there Ma, just a bunch of cans.
  18. Things that make you go hmmm.... That makes two assets including Marshall which a 5-13 Bomber squad underused that seem to be good enough to be given a shot in the NFL. They is wizards.
  19. This is very true, the US is an incredibly insular country and they don't pay much attention to anything going on outside of their own borders. In America ignorance is bliss. I lived there for 4 years while going to University and recall watching CNN track the path of a huge hurricane over 2-3 days. Once the hurricane turned South over the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in Mexico the tracking dropped off the map completely and the coverage dropped like the hurricane never even existed. Never heard a peep about what happened to those poor Mexicans in their straw and mud houses.
  20. That is pretty much what the NHL did to the Jets. Most fans have obviously forgiven them, but there are ex-fans that tuned out the NHL and never watched another game after screwing over Wpg.. I include myself in the second category.
  21. Rainey got a fair number of touches last year, so there was opportunity.
  22. There is a good possibility that Collaros will not be ready to go at the start of the season, so that gives them a fair chance to steal some pts. from the Ti-Cats.
