  1. He did put on some muscle in the off-season and has become much more grittier.
  2. How long before Reilly rolls out the fake Cockney accent?
  3. I disagree, opening drive of the game is the time to show that they can shove it down their throats the old fashioned way, no trickery needed.
  4. Not sure what he was thinking positioning himself behind Stafford in the end-zone, generally the throw doesn't come from that direction.
  5. Exactly, they have Briggs and a few other clones to cover LB. They can keep Lankford in to cover kickoffs and backup the receivers, occasionally putting him in for Thorpe to stretch the field. When Lankford is running posts the DB's are in high back pedal mode and it opens up a lot of space underneath.
  6. What, no spam?
  7. If you call Hail Mary's good throws, I suppose so. He relies a lot on his receivers to come up with the ball on those 50/50 shots.
  8. The other play that was annoying was when they brought LeFevour in for short yardage and left him out for the second play only to flub it on some goofy QB sneak and got caught in the backfield. Red-zone opportunities are too valuable to fritter away with off the book plays, especially when they are not at all necessary. On the first trick play, the first thing I noticed was Flanders jogging to the side-lines and I just thought, "why the hell would they take him out now?"
  9. Great opportunity for the Bombers to put up a stellar performance at home in front of their fans and get all of the fence-sitters back on the band wagon to boost ticket sales going forward.
  10. It's mostly his head, he's got to beef it up.
  11. Isn't that a Bill Cosby line?
  12. Here's a quick synopsis, anybody missing from the G.D. roster has either a lower or upper body injury and they could be gone anywhere from 1 game to 3 years. Any specific reports varying from this are scandalous hearsay.
  13. Amazing how much enthusiasm Westerman has for a "grizzled" vet who's already been around the loop in the NFL, apparent that the guy just loves playing football. Hopefully Walters can keep him happy in Wpg. as it looks like he's got 3-4 years left in the tank.
  14. Glenn, Bridge, Adams....how long until they acquire the long-haired fella? Chris Jones is a frickin' genius he's re-assemblying the Als. dream-team!
  15. On the Coach's show last night O'Shea stated that he was not getting further involved than before with the O or the D and that he trusts his coordinators.
  16. Lankford is outperforming both Rainey and Banks this season.
  17. Cripes, he hasn't changed that much!
  18. Did not know that, thanks.
  19. I have a feeling with his lineage Jeffcoat will ask for his release at the end of the season to pursue NFL opportunities, so the Bombers better hedge their bets and keep Okie on standby.
  20. Bombers pulling out of tailspin evident from past two Hamilton trips http://3downnation.com/2017/08/14/what-a-difference-a-year-makes-for-winnipeg/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JustinDunk3downnation+(3+Down+Nation-Justin+Dunk+)
  21. In a nutshell that's why it's more difficult to field a largely Natl. O-line these days, when you need a good replacement piece you simply can't find one. A largely Import O-line is much easier to replenish and even upgrade mid-season as the US has an endless reserve. Sask. pilfered Wally's reserve Natl. O-linemen and he's got nothing left in his barrel to develop, thus he tried to steal Spooner.
  22. Give it a rest, you don't like em, don't read em.
  23. BC plays the Stamps next weekend so the Bombers should be able to hold on to 3rd even if they lose to the Esks.
  24. Lankford is a better returner than Rainey this season, who'da thunk it.
