  1. There were definitely no coach's challenges back in 2007, the rule was introduced in 2015.
  2. With LeFevour, Harris and Flanders in the backfield they should be very good at two pt. conversions.
  3. A Rider blowout could only occur if the Bomber offence fell apart completely and started giving the ball away, frankly I don't see it. I actually hope the Bombers do not build up a 2 TD lead in the first half as the wheels inevitably fall off in those situations and they lose momentum far too frequently. Keep it close, keep focused and they should sneak out of town with two points.
  4. The 25-year-old native of Costa Rica, who grew up in Montreal, was Toronto's fifth-round pick, 38th overall, in the 2011 CFL Canadian college draft out of Laval.
  5. If the Bombers can stay on track they should be able nail down second place while BC and Esks. fall by the wayside and scrap with the Riders for 3rd and 4th.
  6. Nichols doesn't "throw the ball up" when he's under pressure and that's the kicker. The other issue is that the Rider D-line looked like all-stars against two decimated O-lines, I foresee them returning to their usual production when they face-off against an intact Bomber O-line.
  7. Not sure whether blaming Hurl or Knox helps but this D did not look good against the Als at all. Sitting Poop was an immensely bad decision and I hope it never ever happens again. Didn't matter the situation in the 4th Q and in O.T. the Als accomplished whatever they needed to and the D had no answers until Randle finally stepped up and put an end to the nonsense. Very concerned about the LD match and can see the Riders eviscerating this defence in the air and on the ground, hopefully Nichols, Harris and Dressler can provide an effective counterpoint because Hall just doesn't have the balance of solid personnel to cover the holes, imo.
  8. The potential for this dual backfield offence isn't something they discovered just yesterday, much to my chagrin it's been laying dormant since the beginning of last season, suppressed by the ratio.
  9. No way O'Shea gets rid of any of his team leaders to upgrade talent unless they're failing, it's just not in his DNA. Nichols, Harris and Dressler are a few of the untouchables, but I suspect many others that are playing well are protected by his loyalty and commitment. He's going to the dance with the girls that got him there, not some flashy new tart chasing greenbacks.
  10. Not really, Jake handed the ball off to Knox who took it the distance.
  11. Santos-Knox wouldn't be missed.
  12. Could be, I've noticed their 3 man rush crew is Westerman, Corney and Jeffcoat so Corney is helping balance the ratio as well.
  13. Who is Hurl rotating with? He seems to be out there for every play either at MLB or WIL. It certainly hasn't been the case of Hurl "or" Thomas, they're on the field together plenty of times.
  14. I can't see Walters having spare change for any F.A. at this time of the year, he will need every penny to retain the good players he already owns.
  15. I don't think he does, Neufeld is getting a bit of playing time coming in as the 6th OL and on short yardage.
  16. They might shuffle Jones off to the corner despite the position he's slotted to play, Leggett may see some time at Safety if the Als. achieve too much success through the air.
  17. That could be a game changer, it will be interesting to see how they shift the D-backs around to cover his loss. I've been expecting this for awhile and surprised he's stayed healthy this long with his injury history.
  18. If you want to get drunk and build beer snakes go for it, you can do that on your front lawn and you won't have to put up with a lousy football team.
  19. I think Jennings started to get his game back in the second half, he'll be fine moving forward and their next two games are against Eastern opponents so they should chalk up two more wins before facing the Stamps.
  20. Laid out horizontally to the ground in concise rows befitting the dead.
  21. TSN showed Medlock punting with the ball sideways across his foot at a slight inclined angle, amazing that he can control the direction of it at all.
  22. This game is breaking him in, looks like he's going to be a very good player once he gets the hang of it.
  23. The main difference is the chances of it working out are very slim, so it has a much higher risk of failure than a standard play.
  24. Agreed, implement an attack based on YAC so teams have to deal with an offence that they're not built to defend against or well practiced at. Bonus that it fits in well with LaPo's short passing attack.
