Yah, not too likely. "Almost 3.9 million refugees have left Ukraine (as of 28 March 2022), while an estimated 6.5 million people have been displaced within the country (as of 18 March 2022). In total, more than ten million people – almost a quarter of the population – had left their homes in Ukraine by 20 March." That many less Ukrainians for Putin to deal with, it shouldn't be too difficult finding ethnic Russians to fill the gaps left by the Ukrainians who have fled once the infrastructure is restored. Weather-wise Ukraine is like comparing BC to the prairies, a much more temperate and comfortable place to live compared to the frigid steppes of Russia. The process may take a longtime if the Ukrainians continue to fight, but eventually I think his plan is to erase the Ukraine nation from all maps and absorb the territory into Russia.

I don't believe any adult should be exempt from viewing images of events occurring today or from the past. In fact witnessing and acknowledging such events should be mandatory public education, adverting of eyes from reality should be met with a jackboot to the ass.

Brezhnev, Khruschev and Stalin were all communists, they basically owned nothing as everything belonged to the state. Here is a link to a great documentary on Kruschev, if you jump to the end it shows him planting potatoes in his garden beside his ramshackle dacha, not exactly leading the life of a Tsar. Here is what Russia is supposed to be today "The 1993 constitution declares Russia a democratic, federative, law-based state with a republican form of government. State power is divided among the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Diversity of ideologies and religions is sanctioned, and a state or compulsory ideology may not be adopted." Putin skipped some steps by jumping directly to the "gilded age" and anointed a small network of robber barons to run the Russian economy.

Amazingly accurate, this video was made in April 2021.

Let the shenanigans begin! The upcoming AB UCP leadership review looks to be a ****-show from the get-go, Jason Kenney changing the rules of the vote as needed in a desperate attempt to cling to power. Twenty thousand, they were expecting 3,000. That's the estimated number of people the United Conservative Party (UCP) executive says could descend on the upcoming leadership review of Premier Jason Kenney. It could end up being thousands more. It's a number no one has been able to explain and one that's causing headaches for every group involved — Kenney's campaign team, the party executive, the constituency associations and those trying to oust the premier. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/united-conservative-party-ucp-jason-kenney-red-deer-1.6393577 Meanwhile more evidence has come to light that shows Kenney was directly involved in Jeff Callaway’s kamikaze leadership bid to cut down Brian Jean in the initial UCP leadership race that occurred in 2017. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/jason-kenney-kamikaze-campaign-investigations-1.6385745?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar With these tricksters, the fun never ends!

You never know, but I don't get the sense the current Liberal party is as ego driven as it was in the past when the Chretien/Martin camps were battling for control. I think as a group they're smart enough to realize they currently have a distinct advantage in support over the opposition parties and if they push forward as a cohesive front they can remain the governing party for the foreseeable future. They've just come through a very difficult stretch without visible cracks and unless Mark Carney decides he wants to get nasty and steal the crown for himself, they should continue onward without any reasonable alternative in sight. As long as the Conservatives continue to splinter their ranks, they'll have a difficult time gaining any momentum with voters.

Sounds like the "Freedom Convoy" supporters, trying to convince them they don't represent the majority is futile.

I'm fairly confident Chrystia Freeland will step in as the next PM once Trudeau decides he's had enough.

This video does a good job of explaining the "why now" question. Where are the other members of the tank crew? I'm pretty sure a tank of that size requires at least 4 to operate as designed.....maybe he stole it and took off.

Nobody wins a war, the misery and the displacement of Ukrainians and dead Russian soldiers will last beyond a lifetime for millions. Nothing is gained by either side continuing to fight, come to whatever agreement, lay down arms and begin to rebuild while there are still funds enough to do so. The color of the flag is only temporary and the lines on a map are artificial, ongoing fighting will lead to the total destruction of Ukrainian cities and the permanent displacement of millions of citizens who are unlikely ever to return.

I don't doubt it, in his final days Hitler would have taken out all of humanity if he had the ability to do so. Hopefully Russia has built in some safeguards between Putin and the "easy button".

I hope nobody has forgotten about Pat King....Tamara Lich is now free, but Pat still needs our help. The Real Pat King 23 hrs · **TAMARA LICH IS FREE** Pat King is still applying for a bail review because significant circumstances of the case have changed materially. In other words, if the bail hearing judge were dealing with the case today, the decision made would have been different and Pat would be released. Pat King is seeking financial support from his friends & family to help cover his legal expenses so he can seek a release on bail then begin to prepare for his trial. The amount to cover the bail review and trial is estimated to exceed over $100,000. Any financial help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated in Pat’s quest for freedom. We have been advised through legal council that your donations can be secured in trust and your bank account will not run the risk of being frozen. Let us know if you think Pat King is a political prisoner in the comments below? Thank you for your support and donation to the #FreePatKing legal expense fund. Please share this post.

Jason Kenny did it.....and no one should mention this is a direct subsidy for oil and gas, war is tough on everyone! https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/alberta-pausing-provincial-fuel-tax-collection-1.6375882

Putin cracking down on Russian media and public dissent, his downfall has to begin within Russia not Ukraine. The more freedoms he takes away from Russians the more disgruntled they will become with his leadership.
-
The governing party has to keep up the appearance they are as pissed off and righteous as Sask. and AB. Don't want to get behind on the list of grievances. Head arsonist Kenny leads the way, and he's so mad he wants to burn down the house.

I don't know if it's been confirmed or not but I've seen tweets mention the Russians have lost 2 generals so far, I'm not sure how that happens as the top guys are usually positioned 25 miles or more behind the frontline. There is so much garbage posted now that it makes it difficult to determine what is real and what is not.

Stumbled upon this YouTube clip of a very young Jason Bateman being interviewed by Johnny Carson. I did not know that he got his start on "Little House on the Prairie" having never watched a single episode of that show.

This is hilarious, worth the surprise at the end.

Could be but I would be surprised if China (or India) jumped to Russia's side, their entire economic resurgence is reliant on trade they've established with the West. I can't see China throwing that away....and for what gain?

Pretty sure this entire invasion is against the Geneva Convention, so what? Putin has nuclear weapons and he's threatening to blow up the world, I don't think he's worried about being held accountable for not following the fair play rule book. Meanwhile in some war torn African country were nobody cares, a Warlord is employing children to rape and murder other children. **** like this happens all the time and it doesn't even make the news.

Here's how you get compliance of a resistant population, you line those who resist up against a wall and shoot them in the head. Most citizens will fall in line quickly (see occupied France 1940-44) in order to preserve life and go about their business in peace, those who resist will live in ultimate peril with no protection or rights were the possession of any weapon is a death sentence. It's all been done before and the Russians are the very people who did it (see iron curtain 1945-91). Yes, the Ukraine will be occupied No the population will not be happy with the arrangement, but they will mostly comply (see iron curtain 1945-91). Choose life under occupation, or death. The best hope for victory is continued economic and social sanctions against Russia, which hopefully in time will lead to a regime change, A "people's army" have no chance of resisting the Russian military for more than a few weeks.

Interesting that one of the richest Russian oligarchs not being sanctioned... https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/tops...id=hplocalnews "But one of the most recognizable Russian elites to have been excluded from Canada’s sanction list is billionaire Roman Abramovich, best known outside his home country as the owner of Chelsea FC, one of the world’s most popular soccer teams. Abramovich, who had come under intense political scrutiny in the U.K., said on March 2 that he will sell Chelsea and donate the proceeds to Ukraine, the Financial Times reported . The team is only his most visible asset in the West. Among other things, Abramovich is the largest shareholder in Evraz PLC, a steel manufacturing and mining business that has facilities in Regina, Calgary and Edmonton. Evraz has provided the majority of the pipe to the Trans Mountain expansion (TMX) project, which will expand the movement of oil and refined products from the Edmonton area to a terminal on the Pacific Coast for export. Evraz’s agreement with original pipeline owner Kinder Morgan provided 250,000 metric tons of pipe to the project." "Abramovich announced Wednesday he is selling the Chelsea soccer club. Abramovich said the sale will "not be fast-tracked but will follow due process," and that the net proceeds will go to victims in Ukraine." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/chelsea...ovich-ukraine/

This document is extremely delusional, they can't even make up a logical premise for the attacks.

Please tell me what I said that is so uniformed?

I know a few ex-pat Ukrainians and Russians, they all had to do mandatory military service for 2 years starting at 18 I believe. The training is brutal, if they had any fat going in, there wasn't an ounce of fat left on them when they came out. They make our military look like sissified doughboys. It may not be a popular opinion but I believe the Ukraine should surrender now rather than later when they're forced to, and spare the human carnage and destruction of their cities. No way in hell they can resist the Russians if they are fully committed to conquering, just as it would be foolish for Canada to resist an invasion by the US.. That being said once the surrender is signed and hostilities stop, they are not committed to honour the agreement in any way with their illegal invader. They have the rest of the world on their side, eventually continued financial sanctions or Putin's removal will turn the tide and allow them to regain sovereignty of their country democratically. It may take a regime change within Russia and a number of years to achieve, but it's nothing Ukrainians haven't lived through before, patience will prevail. Russians are not a happy lot either, I think Putin just triggered his own demise.
