Governments and law enforcement agencies are in a pickle, since the BLM riots a few years back they can no longer easily use physical force against large groups of people to enforce laws and thus have become quite toothless in their powers of persuasion. To attack or attempt to arrest the current protestors would only enflame and embolden them and draw more attention to their cause. The eyes of the world are watching, so they have to be very careful how they react or the situation will just escalate. The only viable solution I can see is hitting them with a financial crowbar that has real teeth, using current bylaws start ticketing their vehicles daily for the parking violations they are surely incurring. If they choose to park 10-20-30 days they are going to run up huge fines, which if not paid could put ownership of these vehicles in jeopardy. They will probably rip the tickets up thinking they're never going to pay them, thus the government must ensure the courts enforce the fines to the full extent without plea or reduction. If a go fund me campaign wants to step up and pay the trucker's fines, wonderful, this punishes the group enabling the protestors and the money raised to do so can be re-directed to the local jurisdiction to pay for their extra security and service costs. The results of this tactic may not have any effect on the current protestors as the punishment will be delayed by the courts, but the message that millions of dollars in fines will be levied and collected should be passed onto the next group that believes clogging the streets of a major city or a border crossing is a free-ride to freedom. ,

2022 CFL Free Agency(Rumors/official signings)
Fatty Liver replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
All that is good but as of now they are one injury away from starting Kolankowski and from what I saw last year he looked pretty wobbly. I guess they could stash a few Import O-linemen on the PR and adjust the ratio to get them into the lineup....Travis Bond is probably available. -
All they had to do was decide between Brady or Johnny early on and let the other go to F.A., leaving the door wide open for Harris to finish up his career in Wpg.. I don't think adding Harris effects their win-loss record at all, but watching him chase records would have given the fans another great reason to attend home games and a last chance to celebrate with an all-time Bomber great. I think they fumbled the ball and I bet Wade is pissed.

Unless they have a serious injury along the line, than they're ******. Scrambling around mid-season looking for an O-line fix is a Rider thing, the Bombers need to cover their butts and protect Collaros at all cost.....Dru Brown is now the backup QB. -

There is a big hole in the O-line where Eli stood and I don't think Kolankowski is ready or able to fill it. Walters needs to get Eli back on track or find another Natl. OG to replace him asap. Cody Speller is a F.A. but his status is in limbo. -

Huff is eating at McDonalds, Walters is now eating at Burger King, retaining a roster is more difficult when you're living on top of the tree and every other GM has an axe. -

Problem is even with a healthy arm Nichols is not going to run short yardage and with the new QB limitations I don't think they can dress 3. -

So the claim that the CFL lost $60-80 million in 2020 and playing in half empty stadiums in 2021 were just illusions? -

I could see Harris loving the role of playing the "heel", he might even dawn a mask for the Banjo Bowl! -

Can't see why the Elks would be interested in Harris at all,, they've re-signed Wilder and they already have the little buzz-bomb Walter Fletcher under contract for another year, which gives them a very strong backfield. -
If Brady goes elsewhere so be it, they've signed Johnny and can use whatevers left over to sign Harris to share the load. In the age of 1 year contract it's not a big deal to lose a player for a year or two, if Brady decides he wants to return he only has to wait one or two years for another opportunity to negotiate a deal with Walters. By that time Harris will be out of the picture.

Yah but a torn ACL is not as serious as it used to be.....in days of yore if you pulled up lame they would just shoot you. -

Last year he was still recovering from a torn ACL, he did participate in TC but he was not 100% recovered yet so they had no choice but to release him. If he's still living in the neighbourhood I wouldn't be surprised to see him invited to camp again if he is healthy and still pursuing football. -

I could also see Harris landing in Ottawa, LaPo could use him. -

I don't see it, considering the level of competition he played against I don't think Borsa is going to be the "next one". His skill level may pan out similar to Wolitarsky and he may find his place on ST but I don't think he's going to be of the same caliber as the 4 Natl. RB the Bombers employed last season. Hopefully I'm wrong. -

I like Demski in the Demski role, at this point he's more valuable to the team, than AH. -

I half expect the dirty Riders to make a big play for Stove, ditching old Micah J. if he signs and proclaiming to their fans they have dealt the Bombers another death blow. I mean they have to do something to make it look like they're at least trying...
