  1. And all it took for the Blues to take out one of our top offensive players was an illegal dirty hit that cost them a 2 minute interference penalty.
  2. What a great last 10 minutes of the Stars Avs 7th game. Go Jets Go. I like your confidence dear sir.
  3. A small win it was our best 10 minute start to the game of the series thus far. We dictated the game. Just have to keep it up for another 50 minutes. Another reminder the playoffs is a completely different breed, just have to make sure you make it, doesn’t matter by how much.
  4. St. Louis has been very successful in creating havoc by getting bodies, pucks, sticks to the net which is a perfect formula against Helle. Take his sight lines away. Pretty simple yet effective hockey strategy. It’s also helps been given lots of latitude in how they get at our top players along with an odd soft puck luck goal allowed. I’m hoping it’s our turn game seven to score 3 or 4 in a fairly short period of time to put the game away. A nice lop sided score for the first time in this series for us to end it. Why not us?
  5. Believe in my guys who got us here, our best players, goalie, grinders against their best in game 7 versus you ain’t producing at the level we pay you, you ain’t playing. The tough gig as a professional head coach. Just for funsies, what if we had started Comrie in St. Louis and Helle at home, still tied 3-3? Again just for funsies knowing it’s not reality.
  6. The whistle blew and the players didn’t hear it and continued playing.
  7. Soft goal by Helle and absolutely no box out of Blue players in front of Helle. They’re having their way yet again.
  8. Didn’t see it hit Perfetti but just very frustrating goals against to watch. Puck luck coming our way hopefully.
  9. Out of all the games thus far, best start by far by the Jets. But first shot by the Blues goes in. Helle has a hard time tracking down soft fluttering shots. He was screened somewhat on this one but still frustrating.
  10. And severe head injuries don't just happen because of targeted head shots, they can happen when one targets other parts of the body, e.g., Brady Schenn's violent dirty hit on #55. This is the downside of playing contact sports and the impact it has now on the body and later in years. Violence sells. Who wants to play pickle ball?
  11. Probably right but ironically would prove the original offense was much more violent and illegal than interference. Not wise though to risk a suspension to prove a point especially if we can make it to the second round.
  12. Good to see Ehlers back if indeed he is ready to go and can be effective based on his current health status. JOMO lets go. It just angers me to see #55 missing and makes me think of not good thoughts when it comes to Blue Players. With no disrespect to Names, such a drop off in what we need on our first line. Hope they can rise to the challenge tonight, win by committee, Helle shows his Vezina self. Gonna be interesting to see how the Jets respond tonight, missing one of their leaders, no last change, hostile environment, no consistency in what's being called, five games it has been shown lots of latitude given in how top players are treated, not sure how much grief we've given Kyrou, Thomas to challenge this apparent inconsistency etc. Knowing it won't happen, but it would be real interesting if Lowry took out Kyrou exactly the way Schenn took out Scheif and what the Refs would call, 2 minutes interference right? Go Jets Go.
  13. Just a hunch but I’m thinking we might be saying good bye to their coach as well even after the strong season they had.
  14. Gus the bus to bring his game. Please?
  15. Well said, Leafs do indeed suck.
  16. I’ll answer that. Leafs suck.
  17. The way is head snapped back on Schenns dirty hit coupled with all the other hits he has endured over 5 games, you would think concussion along with potential deep bruising/fractures of certain body parts. Hope I’m wrong and they’re sitting him to rest him.
  18. We should start using the tablets on the bench to assist the referees with consistency. So next game when one of our players goes Schenn on a Blue player we can call up yesterdays hit to say yup give us 2 minutes interference please.
  19. Yup, Friedman reported on it today. Taken from hockey feed: 'NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports this morning that there will be NO supplemental discipline coming as a result of last night’s game'. So moving forward, Jet players should expect a 2 minute minor for interference on similar hits on Blue Players just for consistency of course.
  20. Schenn and Faska are having their way with us and it seems there is not much we can expect from the referees so score goals save pucks and shut them up.
  21. Sure but his linemates can’t do anything about the need for him to finish his grade a/b chances. I’m not trying to be hard on the young man, loads of talent, but we really need him to produce if we plan to go deep into the playoffs this year.
  22. If nothing more comes of this, I assume precedent set in this series. Next time Kyrou, Thomas etc head is down looking for the puck and a Jet player leaves his feet and steamrolls him, expect a two minute interference penalty just for consistency? The obvious strategy employed by the Blues from the start of this series is to target our top guys as much as they can get away with and at this point it seems they continue to be given a lot of latitude by the referring crew.
  23. Not to mention the fact that Scheif didn’t have the puck and he was in a vulnerable position. Reminds me of the Hartmans dirty hit on Ehlers. Blue players are taking liberty with our star players and are not being forced to answer the bell.
  24. Good win. Lots of positives but lots to clean up if we plan on closing it out in St. Louis. Hope Shief is okay.
