Apparently for some TW going 0-3 in passing is a big enough sample size for Coach to say ‘yup TW is not a viable option as I figured, yes I know Zach you can’t grip the ball, put a glove on it, take a few reps while our D is on the field and get back out there, we have no other viable options other than you. oh my gosh again another person saying we had no viable option so nothing we could have done but play a crippled ZC is so frustrating to read over and over again. Another person who can peer into an alternate universe and know that if we did play 100% healthy TW or JG it would have not worked 100% guaranteed. Is it you who is thinking we had no viable option or is it you thinking MOS and company believed they had no viable option? Because if it was the latter, whoever dressed TW and JG as our back-up qb’s knowing full well they will not see the field unless zc was carted off should be fired or at least be scolded. I got to say using ALLCAPS here is quite appropriate and cathartic.

Huh? What am I missing here? What alot of us are talking about is the fatal error that was made in not deploying our healthy back-up QB's. And some here seem to have the ability to peer into an alternate universe that allows them to make the claim that it wouldn't have mattered if we did put in JD or TW we would have still lost the game. Wow, cool skill. And this is all relevant for 2026 in what is the QB plan for this organization if ZC stays healthy and struggles in games, do what we did in 2024, 2025?

Yup thats a fact completely agree but we were put in that position and sticking with ZC was a mistake based on what happened and that’s a fact no matter how one spins it.

I'm with you on this one. They should have went all in with TW. I felt real bad for him but ZC had absolutely no business going back into that game and some people saying MOS had no option but to stick with an injured ZC is completely false.

Here's a perfect example of an athlete that brings productivity to the ice as well as brings strong interpersonal skills to help with team cohesion and leadership.. And he's not the best player on the team but he's probably one of the best on the team that brings the full package. The expectation (not always met) for all players is have the full package to some degree not just one or the other.

I like the BLM reference. So what we are ordering here is a better support cast to surround our qb and once delivered, okay ZC, time to resurge.

Our BB coaches/management are smart people, I think it's more stubbornness, confirmation bias, blind spots and loyalty all working together here. We are all guilty of doing these things in our lives (some more than others) btw but still doesn't give them an out here.

Difference here was TW was not wrecked, he was a 100% healthy QB. So if the mentality is you have a 100% healthy QB at your disposal that you absolutely will not utilize even if your starting QB is playing at 50% there is something amiss here and deserves scrutiny not just at the coaching level but at the management/scouting levels. And it doesn't mean we hate MOS.

Man i think you’re off on this. Zac was hurt on a key part of his body, his throwing hand. He had no business going back into the game. This is the exact reason you employ/dress more than one QB. We had a healthy qb on the sidelines and for those that say he would have stunk not CFL material, one no one here has a crystal ball so we will never know and two if it was indeed a fact TW had no business being on the field for the big game then that’s a whole other discussion to have on why even dress the guy, it’s embarrassing if that was the mentality of the coaching staff/management about TW, what a waste of spot.

With a few players (I think we know who they are) if they are invited back to training camp with no promise of making the team that still wouldn’t sit well with me. Strong messages have to be sent in what expectations are being set for 2026.
