  1. I was thinking the other day when I saw a prediction that the Jets by 2030 will be bottom of the league full rebuild and it got me thinking in theory is not the role of a GM and his support team to never get the organization into the position of needing a significant rebuild? Is this a reasonable expectation across the board for professional sports GM's or are there way too many factors involved that make it easier/harder (city, revenue etc) for some GM's over others?
  2. Watching JT play brings back memories of playing slow pitch where the guy playing RF was a super nice guy, great team player but couldn't play worth **** so we tried to hide him in RF hoping our CF could play two positions. ๐Ÿ™‚ I really need to stop. Go Bombers. ps JT I love you you know that.
  3. Coaching/watching football from Atom up to and including High School, there was always an award called warrior given to a player. Give him that. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. hey i just know there are a few with their fingers ready to pounce with posts after we win. Always good fun.
  5. cโ€™mon @Booch say it with me: not if, when we win. You can do it, find your centre. Namaste. (Insert Booch throat punching HardCoreBlue gif)
  6. Just to get ahead of this when we win this weekend it will not negate any (most) of this current conversation on our roster management. ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Prefacing this with I have limited knowledge when it comes to accurately assessing our scouting department when it comes to our Dline but some saying JT is the best we have continually fascinates me. Your last sentence gets me thinking, how many players on the Bombers ring of honor continued to play well past their prime?
  8. I have a feeling the Sasky interior OLinemen are feeling pretty good about themselves right now.
  9. In summary, Riders suck.
  10. Absolutely no push up the middle, 7 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 hurries (I think) after 11 games = completely shits their pants or Jake hate or we have no one better, or he helps with the ratio, or he's actually performing adequately, or he's earned to be out there until he decides he doesn't want to do it anymore or a bit of all these factors? The one thing JT has helped me with is understanding in more detail how important the NT position is. I'm more of a DB/safety/SAM/Wil fan but my level of appreciation for needing an effective Dline has increased immensely especially this year.
  11. Need to put this description on his football card.
  12. Yup he's branding himself not the CFL.
  13. Nope. Nope. Nope. Take his Jersey, put it up in the dressing room and let him help coach the Dline if he wants to. ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Not up the middle we won't be. Okay that's enough, I'll show myself out.
  15. Someone needs to tell him you can carve out a great career in this league with pretty good compensation.
  16. No push up the middle has become my arch nemesis. :-)
  17. Yes indeed Roughriders suck. Well said.
  18. Sure but it seems youโ€™re implying it. Anyways go Bombers.
  19. Also looking forward in seeing what Logan has.
  20. I'm not sure how people on a discussion board discussing issues they have with roster management (and other BB football decisions/approaches) and how it could be improved to help us secure a win have lost with touch with reality? I follow along for the most part and rarely see someone suggest MOS needs to go, be fired. To me saying he's not going to get fired anytime soon means anyone who raises ongoing issues with his decisions mean they have lost touch with reality. But that's just me and I haven't read every post and I could indeed be missing something here. I'd rather see a discussion board full of opinions than a discussion board that sets a limit on what can be talked about and for how long. We all (most?) know none of this is within our control, our influence (that reality part you refer to) but it's great to chat about it anyways.
  21. If I was a DC, I think I'd like to have the opposing OC/HC with that primary mindset. Allows the ability to lay defensive traps etc.
  22. Even to this day as a broadcaster he still remains the same. Watching a game he was doing the color on, think the RedBlacks were marching down the field and he placed more emphasis on a field goal than on a touchdown. No killer instinct.
  23. Yup very hard to watch when a third string inexperienced rookie has the time to comfortably go thru his reads.
