There’s pros to that vibe for sure but creating, maintaining and enhancing the vibe that opposing teams know that with the WBB they are going to get a full 60 minutes of elite aggressive take no prisoners type football has its benefits as well.

Yup all the more reason for him to focus on one role.

IMO RD needs to fire himself as a coach go back to the drawing board and focus completely on his GM duties to be ready to reset for the 2027 season OR he needs to be canned outright, bought out, and the organization needs to heavily invest on what things need to happen moving forward to right the ship.

Stuart Skinner standing on his head along with a team loaded with upfront talent struggling at the goaltender position early in the season would be fantastic please and thank you.

Here’s how i would respond. Thanks, sorry to hear this. A resolution coming soon will totally be dependent on getting fair market value back from another suitor. On our end we will do our very best to accommodate but can’t give a definite timeline as what other teams do and offer is out of our control at the end of the day. In the interim help us be successful, see you at the rink and let’s get the season going.

'We took a step back today, for sure. Now it didn't help that (insert name of player or players) was playing/ got hurt and a couple of bad breaks here, a couple of calls that didn't go our way that really set the tone of this game but that's no excuse. Montreal was clearly the better team. Guys need to do some searching, there's going to be some tough conversations coming up. Next week will show us who we really are'.

I see it the other way but this is probably why i’m not a NHL GM. Chevy is in the drivers seat. Play Skinner et al till a suitable deal is presented to our GM even if the L’s accumulate quickly early in the season. Helle signed a contract with the Winnipeg Jets under no duress. He is obligated to fulfill the terms of that contract. If he is not willing to do that then he can stay at home till the contract runs its course or until the Jets can find a suitable tailor that fulfills our needs. If we trade him away under duress and don’t get fair value back that will be a big kick in the balls.

Thanks for sharing. In reading this, I really like how Fields explains his perspective in a very introspective way with no sore loser tone to it and so glad his health has improved.

I’d add to that list yelling at anything that walks on lawns, the government and being suddenly intrigued with birds.

Unfortunately for some guys their minds will know what to correct but their body abilities will say nope.

Yup and so does MOS but unfortunately some of these players who are giving their all aren't producing but MOS seems to rationalize that away, e.g., earned it, give so much to this club, they get to decide their fate etc etc.

Yup for sure, I’m just confused on what’s the sound rationalization knowing the Elks need one point to win with a minute and a half to go soft zone coverage with no attempt to mix in some pressure blitzes on the CF? A vanilla defense is not going to stop CF in getting the yards he needs get his kicker to win the game.

Month long camping trip come home turn the tv on no blitz soft zone coverage bad tackling great recipe for game winning drive. ffs So, how’s everyone doing? :)

Yup not seeing the complexity here.

I know I’m being harsh and probably missing tons of complexity as i armchair qb this but: Scouting fail.
