My wife has been saying that I should have been shot a long time ago.

A part of me wants these cretins to try that again. It would make for very entertaining prime-time watching. By then their spiritual leader (Trump) will have been indicted and Poilievre will have reeled off more stupid remarks.

Particularly when the US military reports that Russian military capability, both in personnel and equipment is so badly degraded between horrible management and the Ukrainian war that one big counter-offensive by the Ukrainian military will completely destroy whatever is left. Most recent estimate is that Russia has suffered 100,000 fatalities and another 500-600,000 disabled. The Russians are apparently burning their dead in landfill sites and listing the dead as AWOL: so as to avoid paying compensation to the families/spouses.

The offence didn't exactly sparkle against the Lions, either, but managed to scrape out a win. A bad omen.

Regardless, it was very ill-advised throw.

But is he gonna get that bionic arm he needs? -
The problem with both fan bases and political bases is that the most rabid followers tend to be not only the most noticeable but the most objectionable and drown out out the moderates.

The reality is that we become involved with sports teams as an escape and become emotionally invested in them -some of us obsessively so. When our personal lives become emmeshed with our teams or individuals, we enter a grey, potentially unbalanced state of mind. We follow our heroes for the drama- the soaring highs, the crashing lows and yes, the tensions. Our sports and even political attachments are often analogues for our lives and that is all well and good so long as we do not cross the line from entertainment into obsession. The sense of continuity and community that sports can offer can carry us through rough times and have value as long as we do not let the "us vs them" attitude does not become pathological.

Why do we need comparisons? Mosaic is eons ahead of old Taylor field and a plus to the CFL's image. I agree that IGF is a great stadium but see no need for superlatives.

The Libs are also responsible for lowering sperm counts in Canadian men as well as bad Marvel movies.

Would love to see this happen, and it likely will.

The EP deputies called on the EU to include PMC "Wagner" in the list of terrorist organizations. In response, Wagner owner handed over to the European Parliament an “information case” - a sledgehammer with an engraved Wagner PMC logo and traces of “blood” on the handle. sledgehammer with an engraved Wagner PMC logo and traces of “blood” on the handle.

And here is the reason why- the attacks started within minutes of the resolution being passed

Maybe the investors were...... too chicken to proceed?

I really liked what I saw of Agudosi in his brief on-field performance, but his apparent fragility is a concern. He deserves a chance to make the team next year but one more significant injury will lead to the conclusion that he is too brittle for the sport.

By way of comparison, a few unarmed, unarmoured, untrained civilians took down a shooter and in Uvalde Texas, a hundred, armed, armoured, trained officers milled around and refused to enter the school out of fear that they might have been at risk. Something very wrong there.

Agreed. Kolankowski struggled at the beginning of the season as did the whole O-line, but got better each outing. Couture was not good in the GC game and ought to fetch a good price in a trade. -
I really do not see the need for Lawler, as good as he is. Our receivers, even without Ellingson for most of the year, were as good as any in the league and not the reason we lost the Cup. We even have the promising Brendan O'Leary-Orange. Lawler would be nice, but not a priority.

Liegghio also made a couple of TD-saving tackles on punt returns, if memory serves. Can't recall too many kickers doing that.

Democrats Give Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts An Ultimatum. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Hank Johnson ordered the chief justice to name someone who can testify on the court’s ethics scandals. Top Democrats on the House and Senate Judiciary Committees demanded on Sunday that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts comply with their investigation into the court’s refusal to abide by ethics laws. And if the court continues to suggest it’s not serious about policing itself, Congress will step in, warned the joint letter from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), and Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), chairs of the subcommittees overseeing the federal judiciary in their respective chambers. “If the Court ... is not willing to undertake fact-finding inquiries into possible ethics violations that leaves Congress as the only forum,” they wrote. The letter came a day after The New York Times reported that Justice Samuel Alito leaked the outcome of a 2014 decision in the case of Hobby Lobby v. Burwell. Alito reportedly spoke about the decision ahead of its release to Supreme Court Historical Society donors who were part of an influence operation led by a former conservative evangelical leader, Rev. Rob Schenck. The two lawmakers firmly stated Congress’ right to investigate the court and demanded Roberts provide information related to the influence operation run by Schenck through his Faith & Action group. They also demanded information about Schenck’s letter to Roberts in July disclosing that he learned about the Hobby Lobby outcome days before it came down from one of his volunteers after she attended a dinner with Alito and his wife. Schenck sent his letter as part of the court’s investigation into the leak of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. Alito, who authored both the Dobbs and Hobby Lobby decisions, denied leaking the Hobby Lobby outcome. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/supreme-court-leak-investigation_n_637bcd63e4b06d5b6098190e
