Any one saying the ol was bad has lost it. Bcs guys won the battle a couple times, they have a good dl that happens. Edm will do similar next week. But over all they played well. Kola was kola, but the rest played well. Randolph is a nice upgrade over Lofton and only gonna get better. Wallace is gonna be an animal with a good chunk of starts. 
 
Taking vanterpool off sucks, but imp guards are rare and a luxury. We are wasting way to many roster spots to afford that right now. 
 Having an imp ol on the pr who can step in and be maybe your best ol is extremely fortunate. Keep grooming him as a T and we will have it made in the shade. 

Lawson is all we hoped for, but only one stud d-lineman is not enough. He can be countered by putting two blockers in front of him, and you need at least one other, and preferably two  stud d-lineman to give the op[posing O-line fits. 

Yep, Lawson went full on stove on that play. Guy is such a beast.

The fact he won’t give details or take responsibility with out passing blame makes me think they won’t find any thing on further examination of the film. 
 
Is it messed up though that I kind of hope Wj gets suspended a game? Then we have to adjust the roster and give person a shot, and probably dress a real back up de. 
Then wj can come back angry and motivated. Maybe get back to pressures and sacks. 

Yeah...its small at times insignificant stuff you don't really notice too which makes a big difference, and sometimes a huge play
Take the Parker TD...3 man pressure...with the right 3 man...Lawson knifed inside beat 2 blockers..cause Masoli to have to move...walk up in pocket and rush his throw as pocket was collapsing from ends...made him ahead of his receiver with a bad rushed throw ..TD bombers...had Jake been the nose..would have got stonewalled prob right at line or washed to the edge...and who knows how play woukd have turned out...definitely not TD bombers
If you look at and break down plays and see where the faults are...you see it differently...and if you grade a play to best of ability even though not sure the call...but for most part u can get a good sense of responsibility...you see more too
And that twist with Thomas they highlighted was embarrassing 
The fact we knew what kind of defense we wanted to run...and didnt adress having a legit Nose or multi use DT is an epic fail

Pressure up the middle is better than off the edge, if you can push the C back into the QBs lap and mess with the throwing lanes you can throw off the passing game faster and with out extra guys. 
 
The way you create pressure up the middle is with a good nose tackle and 3tech. Not with extra bodies. Also twists help if your dts are athletic enough to go around the C and still get in on the play. 
 
 Lawson plus adams gives us that. We could use a guy inside who can rotate and provide any thing. 
 Also doesn’t help that our ends haven’t gotten any thing going. 

My lasting impression of the Grey Cup is Osh playing Collaros with an injured finger which was a disastrous decision. Then he started Jake Thomas rotating him & Schmeckel at DT on a 3 man front & being stood up, pushed back, running around on his tippy toes being the 5th guy in on his tackles & manhandled on every fricking play he was in. Schmeckel wasn't much better. Both guys were on an island being mugged every play while WJ played the game of his life. Those 2 were an embarassment. FF to last night, no defensive ends to rotate in & Thomas still there, still starting & still as useless as ever.

As with others..we win despite the less than optimal players...he won't change anything...I've said before we have won a lot despite his poor choices...but those days may be numbered as a lot of the depth that compensated for it..while in their prime...is either not prime anymore...or gone
He said it himself in TC ...you watch tape on a guy from yrs ago and you see the production they can do...or something along those lines...and he just clings to it.. we've seen it way too much...he doesn't forward think...let alone develop guys along the way to step in...or just flat out replace guys who aren't the best option cause we've won with them before...or he just likes them cause they been here forever...and that's bad.
Our depth has eroded so bad because of it...and again have a lot of just ST only guys...again...are reluctant to let guys who could and can make a difference play legit reps...and a couple don't even get a sniff of the roster 
Its gonna bite us in ass again this yr...just you watch...unless he does a serious change in his opinion...or Walters and or Miller steps in and plays Boss

A couple adjustments and we’d have a better D than 21. 
 Jake 10 reps or less per game. Kyrie out to pasture, Jjones on with tony sliding to wil and sitting on passing downs situationally, get an end on to rotate, maybe work vaval in on the D some. 

Several guys need a shot...and a couple need a seat on the PR or IR
Our 2 older ends would thrive with a youthful upside rotation end...and consistent inside push with a combo of Adams...Lawson and Woods...
Did Korn get more than 2 reps? Even so he not cfl caliber...we seen all too well how many reps Thomas got and how for the majority of the reps hes just pointless...and times he does show a lil push in pocket has nothing left or ability to get off his block and make a play...let alone have any backside pursuit...he needs to be off roster...his "glue" isn't serving any purpose...we have more than enough glue guys on defence
And T.Jones needs to be impactfull and noticeable if he your MLB and make plays all over the place..and he isn't...hes decent in the box or crashing down...but in space...coverage...or sidlene to sideline hes a liability and basically invisible...
When BO is back we be better served using Person for Cooley spot...Bailey for Weitz...did he even see feild?..insert J.Jones for one of T.Jones or wilson and allow Ayers and J.Jones to take majority of reps...Griffin too should be our SAM...he'd be a league allstar as a full-time starter...
For what Sterns gives us and has shown I'd also give Mitchell the next games...he if dialed in is a legit threat and woukd give more space for the other receivers to work..Sterns is just run of he mill average...
Why we didnt pick up Hakanuva is baffling...he'd have offered more than what we have behind our starters...I'd even try 3 national recievers with him in lineup to free up an import for defence or oline...

After only 2 games, Wheatfall is sixth in the league in receiving yards with 213 on 11 catches and he has the most 30+ yard receptions with 4. It's only 2 games but he flashed some moments of brilliance last year and he also had a great pre-season. He looks like he is for real.
Trey Vaval is #1 in punt return average with 13.7 yards per punt return

Vaughters and Willie took way to many snaps pretty well ineffective, roster needs to add at least 1 more end 

I just watched the game,  that 2nd and 3rd quarter on O was very stinky.    Poor execution all around by many guys.    I didn't mind the play selection ,  it was just bad o-line , a few bad drops,  bad Zach.... everything looked very pre season like.  It seemed like when BC was able to stop the run that the Bombers had zero answer.  
Zach looks as bad as he did in the Grey Cup and last season.   Those lame duck ints were completely unnecessary.   That first pic was underthrown in double coverage.... why?   That 2nd pic was forced for no reason at all considering we had a big lead and didn't need to force a throw deep in our end so late in the game.    I don't think his arm is shot like Matt Nichols but he definitely is having issues in his decision making and apparently his execution.   
The secondary did make a few mistakes but for the most part they swarmed and I really liked what I saw out of them.  Same with Jones and Griffin at lb those guys were noticed on the field.  
D-line I specifically watched Jake Thomas for this game to see if maybe people on here such as myself are over exaggerating his play.    I encourage anyone with PVR to rewatch the game and keep and eye on him.   That guy was big brothered all night long and was comically out muscled and tossed around on nearly each play.  He was also the guy who completely bit on the play action with Masoli that gave them one of their only positive plays.   I watched Thomas run full steam ahead and crash and bounce back several times.   The only time he was near the QB was when he was tossed around like a losing sumo fighter and he would somersault somewhat near Masoli.    He was on the field way to much tonight and while Lawson wasn't an all star.  At least Lawson wasn't pushed around and he made the one big play that resulted in an interception and he at least plugged the lane at times.   Thomas was a pylon blowing in the wind... just completely useless.  
 
Zach can not play like a vintage Danny Mac gunslinger... I'd like to see him throw on the run more.

Outside of Zach being off,   Clercius had himself a really bad game.   Thomas was awful as usual.  

Sad thing is MOS will not makes changes unless there are injuries.
Go back to the game one OL. Try J.Jones for Wilson. Put in Pearson for Ayers so you have a rotation at DE. Oline is better, Zach and the offense are likely better. D likely gets better too.

I am not a football coach but it looked to me that our guards were trying to cover for a lousy Kolankowski.

That, IMO, is the critical job of the head coach. It is also why we we lost three, count 'em, three Grey Cups in a row. It wasn't an act of God, it was a dereliction of duty.

HH to #5 for being ejected as a form of protest against not having any legit DE support. 

I think you should look around at the QB's in this league today.
Collaros is very clearly in the top third even when he has a below average game.
Montreal arguably has 2 of the top 5 QB's in the league on their roster.  I'd argue that.  Their current QB is leading the best offense and their backup led the best offense in the league in the 2nd half of last season.

Ayers and J Jones would make us a better defence

We're 2-0 and I feel like we could be better on both offense and defense.

So how many snaps did Korn take...I didnt even notice or see Weitz on teams.. T.Jones was Mia...your mlb needs to be noticed and making an impact

We be chasing Ford around next week...Jake should not be part of the scheme...guys like Bailey and Person tho would be helpful tho...
