  1. Thanks Zontar! It’ll be a great game if the real Bombers show up (which I think they will). I would suggest the Ti-Cats haven’t played the Bombers at their best yet this season. The first meeting, our ball security obsessed Matt Nichols inexplicably throws three interceptions. The Bombers were in scoring position so many times only to commit a turnover. Second game, even after the opening td drive, our guys seemed flat and out of sync in the worst way. Can’t wait for next weekend!!
  2. I’ve never had more fun mocking Suitor mercilessly as he tried to explain away every Rider failure through his disgusting green goggles. So many excuses... the guy was practically apologizing on national television for CoFaj’s oblique injury 🙄
  3. 1. Collaros - this guy has the arm, the accuracy and the leadership to take us all the way. Sask was extremely well prepared for our poorly called run game. Without ZC stretching the field, I don’t know that the Bombers win. No disrespect to Nichols but there is a gutsiness to the passing game we haven’t seen in a long time. 2. Medlock - was flawless after the crappy initial kickoff. The late Sask punt return wasn’t on him. 3. Defence - they allowed more explosion plays than they did against the Stamps but the red zone/goal line stands were insanely good. HH Shayne Gauthier’s game saving tackle on the trick play Sask punt return.
  4. Late to the forum because I was busy jumping up and down and howling like a gibbon with my folks... Not sure if anyone mentioned this but it seemed like the Sask o-line’s favourite tactic against Nevis and Richardson was hands to the face! Never called once.
  5. IF Fajardo is hurt, we could see something similar to 2017 Nichols where he had a severe calf strain and a broken finger at playoff time. He played, but was propped up by prayers and duct tape. So if Fajardo plays, he may look ok initially, but could fade very quickly, and badly.
  6. I’m just a GenX whippersnapper... but J5V, I do believe you’ve perfectly outlined the blessed afterlife in football heaven...
  7. You know, just because Collaros’ helmet is big enough to have its own atmosphere, doesn’t mean it’s free headshot night. F@ck!
  8. Sweet jeebus... i better take my blood pressure meds if I want to survive this game.
  9. Glen Suitor stop justifying the hit you melonhead F!!CK
  10. Bighill has looked like ass most of the season... and I say this as a fan of his.
  11. Three straight runs up the gut on first down. Wtfh Collaros looks good though
  12. Same sh!t secondary scheme - I’m so done watching Hall’s system a. suck against legit opposition and b. fold with the game on the line.
  13. So in other words still not good enough and the result is as we should have expected 😢
  14. This game, as intense as it was to the final seconds... perfectly summarizes the Bombers’ infuriating season. They’re a first half team. All three phases contribute to building a lead. Then after halftime they get buried production-wise and the game slips away. So the talent is there for the most part. The play calling is so painfully inept that we as fans can predict them almost without fail - so imagine how easy it’s become for opponents to anticipate! How can a team go from dominating (or at least being extremely competitive) in first halves, to either barely hanging on or totally blowing it? Comes down to coaching. Throw in some questionable roster management (see: Rasheed Bailey and Geoff Gray as exhibits A & B ) and the result is that our most recent best chance at a championship is halfway down the drain.
  15. Yes! Classic Richie Hall “the flats don’t need defending” playcall!
  16. Hall needs to come down from the booth and hand the signal mic to Young...
  17. Ugh no.d-line.pressure.at.all.
  18. Sick and tired of rules biased in favour of offense.
  19. Brutal execution on that one
  20. Uh oh. It’s early but we may have bad-Lapo calling this one 🤦🏻‍♂️
  21. I’m interested to see how our defence does with Ritchie Hall back and calling the shots. The combo of Alexander at safety and Glen Young calling the plays settled in nicely last week and finally made VA jr look like who we thought he was. BLM is a totally different situation altogether but I’m looking for continued aggressive coverage vs the huge cushions/holes the secondary was notorious for (as a result of terrible blitz calls?)
  22. I think that’s fair. In the 4th quarter I expected to see basic, totally telegraphed runs straight up the gut, but for the most part the play calling was much more varied. He let the ground game do what it was designed to do, and Montreal didn’t have any real answer for it.
  23. Why would they... the head ref was the same asshat gleefully chortling every melonhead first down at the LDC. Today he could barely contain his green joy anytime there was a Bomber penalty...it’s like he forgot where he was reffing, and remembered in the nick of time
  24. The drama surrounding this team and on this board is a bizarre tonic for this depressing 3 game losing streak. Been crazy busy IRL but managed to keep up with the reading by supplementing the bathroom breaks with lots of “being out in the shop” type tasks... IF, and this is a big if, O’Shea decides to bolt for TO and Pinball... agree with 17to85 that we woo Khari Jones and all his family and best friends to Winnipeg. Arguably held back by Buono in BC... he’s since shown he has what it takes to take a middling team to gross overachievement. What could he accomplish if he was allowed to manage a Kyle Walters supplied roster??? On a shallower note - what I wouldn’t give to see Khari on the sidelines, in Bomber blue doing his go-time give-em-hell dance...
  25. Three goals from our freshly minted defensive core... Scheif & Laine tied for assists. A fascinating start to our season of uncertainty!
