You are hell bent on downplaying the factor that not playing 90% of the starting offense at all in preseason has.... I mean did guys like Oliveira or Demski even get a week of camp time? The O was a mess and it wasn't just because Collaros had a terrible night. 

Seriously? Haba was causing problems for the als all night... he was really good, hands up high penalty aside he was one of the brightest spots on the team.

It’s not injuries though. It’s coaching and decision making within the locker room. There’s been a laundry list of questionable decisions being made over the past year and the talent is no longer enough to overcome them.
O’Shea needs to be more of a coach, which is what got us to the point we were at, and be less of what feels like a chaperone at times.

Injuries and a lackadaisical TC hurt their preparations, IMO.  Osh has some work to do both with the players and coaching staff.  Can’t just rely on the vets to “figure it out”.

Well as long as he can replace Jackson at FB, they come out ahead ratio wise if nothing else.

Ford at CB and Kramdi at LB = 2 Canadian starters = we don't have to start a Canadian DT.

MOS has been a great coach but he's not infallible. 
Walters has been a great GM but he's also not infallible.
Heck both risked potentially losing their jobs if we don't win in 2019. 

I generally am Team Booch on everything but the one place we disagree is that I'd watch a 100% Canadian CFL before I'd watch all American. I'm here for the Canadiana of it all.

I agree. Kramdi gets crapped on, and I'm not sure why. I thought he was pretty decent once he settled in.
I agree with that as well. However, Kramdi did take the job from an underperforming Darby, so they were willing to make that change. I would hope if Cole looks better than Kramdi they would do the same. I think Kramdi could be a very useful rep taker in our secondary when needed. I don't even mind him competing at S really, better back up plan than Hallett imo.

Kramdi is not anywhere near the worst problem on the roster. Sure maybe they could get someone better there... but he wasn't a liability.

Hodge reports that Michael Chris-Ike is Winnipeg bound in a couple days after his workout with the Saints didn't result in a contract.

They do that for free 

Just a way to free up a few more TC spots, a number of teams are using this tactic.

I can't recall it ever happening before. Odd indeed.
The year the Riders picked Onyemata was different than us taking a flyer on Manu. They had very poor NAT starters and depth and only had a few picks that year. It was a dumb choice by them given the circumstances. For us, having 10 draft picks, a flyer/future pick or two was almost compulsory  because there is no way we can roster 10 new NATs anyway. I guess my point is that whether or not a flyer is an acceptable pick or not isn't so much what round it was done, although that's a factor, it can be a good pick or bad pick based on team need for players as well.

This is exactly why I like the Manu pick... worst case scenario he never comes north and he is exactly like the players listed above... best case scenario, he shows up here in a few years and we have a very good Canadian that can play tackle...

That's a very good thing... as long as you're talking about the 24-30 year old version of Jake...
I don't pretend to know anything about the prospects but some of the resident experts around here seem to really like Brubacher... I wonder if we could've drafted the second round like this:
13 - Clercius
14 - Chris-Ike  Brubacher
17 - Wallace
20 - Samson   Chris-Ike
Still end up with WR, RB, OL, DL but potentially an upgrade at DL... just a thought
