Around The League: 2018 Offseason
Can't be true. Posters on Riderfans assured us Dennis was their "lock-down" left tackle!!!!

Pretty sure Coombs isn't, but Demski is.

Grey Cup: Calgary vs Toronto
Last year BLM wanted the ball in his hands at the end of the game. This year he had that exact scenario and look at the result. i guess stupid didn't leave the province of Alberta.

Blue Bomber Free Agent List
Agree again. I would re-sign Dressler and JFG and then make a push for Eric Rogers to replace Denmark. In my dreams I would like to see a starting 5 at receiver of : Adams, Dressler, Rogers, Wolitarsky, JFG/Coates (share the spot). I know I'm probably harping a little too much on Wolitarsky, but I honestly think he Jhansi the potential to be our version of Zylstra.

Edmonton Eski-dolts @ Regina Ridirts: Who Do We Want?
Hard to believe that one of the two best teams in the league lost at home to the Esks! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Never change riderfans. That site can be a source of great amusement.

Adams gone for rest of regular season
I read this morning that Chris Givens was taking ( or is it given) some first team reps so maybe we will see him over Lankford or Washington.

Bombers @ Argos: Dressler Return? + Lapo Must Call Deep Balls To Non-Lankfords Edition
I hope Weston has that positive impact. However I am going to harp on this: Drew Wolitarsky can be our version of Zylstra. It was about this time last year that Zylstra was activated for the first time by the Esks. He had a great end of season run and has become a top notch WR this year. Hopefully we can at least try him out the remainder of this year (split reps with JFG and Coates) to see if can help us get to the GC.

Kittens vs Bombers GDT
Why not Wolitarsky? Bombers need a medium range possession receiver badly. Time to take the training wheels off and see what he can do.

Who has the better team: Calgary or Winnipeg?
I agree. Until the Bombers can beat Calgary in a meaningful game the Stamps are the better team. Their defence is far and away the best in the CFL.

Good 20 point win. Hopefully that will keep, the Sask trolls out of here for a while at least.

Geoff Gray Cut By Pack
Mulumba has never played MLB, ever. He was a 3/4 OLB or a 4/3 DE in his entire career. It would be a disastrous mistake to put him at MLB. I just don't know why this meme exists on MBB. We aren't Chris Jones' Riders.

Addison Richards Retires
That thick mop of hair must have been a direct cause of the injuries. His legs just couldn't support the extra weight. Too bad it didn't turn out but I wish the best in his post football life.

Winnipeg @ Ottawa GDT
Not sure about that. I seem to recall hands to face being called every season I've been watching and I too have watched football for, over 40 years.

Bombers @ Lions: Game Day Thread (07/21/17)
A 2/1 TD/Int ratio is not horrible. Not great but not horrible either. It's the timing of his picks that are killing the Bombers this year.

Bombers @ Lions: Game Day Thread (07/21/17)
I agree. I think we have the personnel to be competitive in the west. Chicken **** coaching with the lead cost us this game.

Bombers @ Lions: Game Day Thread (07/21/17)
Lol. Ottawa finishes under .500 in a weak East, Bombers finish 11-7 in a tough West and that's what we have to strive for?!?! Credit Ottawa for getting hot when it counts but they are hardly a juggernaut as this season is proving.

Drew Wolitarsky
I was looking for comparisons to current WRs in the CFL and I kept coming back to Esk's WR Brandon Zylstra who has become incredibly productive. So I did some research and from a physical standpoint the two are very similar (pro day results): http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=1016742&draftyear=2016&genpos=WR http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=128487&draftyear=2017&genpos=WR Kind of a laugh - their respective team's CFL sites list them as 6.03 and 220 lbs but their pro day stats list them as 6.02 and 219 lbs. Zylstra signed with Esks on May 30, 2016 so he had a whole TC to go through and he wasn't put on the active roster until week 14. Using Zylstra as a model I wouldn't expect Wolitarsky to be on the Bombers active roster until well into the 2nd half of the season, and even then he would have to earn his reps playing ST's. I like JFG but he is someone I feel more comfortable with as a backup, so hopefully Wolitarsky can take a Nat WR spot down the road. He still has to learn the CFL game and earn his stripes but it gives him something to shoot for. One big advantage for Zylstra is QB play; Reilly is better than Nichols. Period.

Who was our worst coach?
I don't think Kelly was the worst coach but he was a horrible GM. I think he traded away something like 8 draft picks in his short stint here. Also his public battles with the media and his anger management issues just embarrassed the Bombers completely. Did real damage to the Bomber brand, IMO. They had no choice but to dump him.

Drew Wolitarsky
How many weeks will he actually need before he sees some real game action?
