Looking at that list I think you have to wonder who is in for big raises. We already fit under the cap (I'm assuming) with them this year, so its more about whether their salaries will increase next year. My initial thoughts:
Around same $$: Bryant, Feoli-Gudino, Normand, LeFevour, Randle, Hurl, Nevis,
Increase: Hardrick, Bond, Foketi, Spooner, Flanders, Heath, Westerman, Knox, Fogg, Jones,
Decrease: Neufeld, Dressler, Denmark, Wild, Medlock
These are just my guesses what their price tag would be, not knowing anything about their current contracts. Whether I'm right or wrong, I'm sure there are some guys who will be able to fit back in with close to their current salaries, nothing added to the payroll. Some will be allowed to walk too to make room for guys who should come back and are worth a raise.

Glad that Wild hit was posted. I actually forgot it and it was one of my favourite memories of the O'Shea era. Love how Wild reacted and then it shows O'Shea all happy and applauding then cuts back to an injury lol

Neufeld has been playing well.
Walby and others think so anyway.
Got to keep Nevis/Poop in, it's the key to the wins coming up for the Bombers.
Corney and Okpa's remarkable speed, and santos knox speed/smart play/effort , hopefully will keep reilly from escaping outside.
I also think that in the next few games Prof. Paul is going to spring some things that he's been keeping back.
I've got a feeling Lapo has some things up his sleeve too. Question is whether he has a QB that can orchestrate it and the weapons at his disposal. Adams back would be huge, but at least we got our dynamic duo for RBs

Wasn't there rumours that Westerman may be able to make it back in the playoffs? Although apparently he had surgery? Maybe I shouldn't bring the subject up, I'll be put on the CSIS watchlist for questioning this state secret.

Does raise an interesting question. Westy, jeffcoat and ogopogo. Who do you start if all are healthy? Clearly we need the NI so westy for sure. Can we carry corney, westy, jeffcoat, ogopogo, nevis, poop, and thomas? A rotation next year of all those guys healthy is un guardable.
We do quite a lot of rotation along the line. Many times in passing situations we have at least 3 ends playing, maybe even 4, but don't quote me on that. I'm still expecting and hoping Corney develops into a solid starting end himself.

Going to the game with friends. First Bomber game at the new stadium (went to a Rifles game before). Haven't watched a live game since I moved away after "their final season" at the old stadium. Taking a bunch of friends who have never been to a Bomber game period, so hope they put on a good show and convert some of them.

Missed the game last night, anywhere I can watch it online?

I think Ground and Pound is what Calgary will do with their 240 lb back. Sam Hurl will have cleat marks up and down his font getting in the way of Messam - who by the way he will not stand a ghost of a chance of stopping. Gave my seats away as I am heading out to see Jersey Boys instead.
No, Hurl will be filling a different gap

So, is the message on defense then play badly because you get to keep your spot no matter what?
Only if you're a Canadian MLB....

Re: JFG..... According to reports, Coates is being rewarded for a great week of practice and JFG is a healthy scratch. It was in Taits pre game article...
I like JFG, probably more than Coates, but love the message being sent that working hard at practice can get you a starting spot. Don't think Coates has looked out of place this year. JFG has done a good job too, but this might also rest him or cause him to step up his game when he's back in.

If they need to replace someone on the 44 man it doesn't have to be Bond or Hardrick. The Bombers could tell the league they are doing an emergency roster adjustment so they can suit up someone from the practice roster. This is a home game so they have access to these players if needed. They did this earlier the year for the Banjo Bowl when Loffler was a last minute scratch.
Thanks for the clarification. This makes more sense to me then. I thought the taxi squad applied to home games as well.

But they don't have to declare who those 2 are until later, correct? I'm just saying there's still a chance another lineman goes down in that time. I'd hate to see one of Bond or Hardrick pressed into service when they're not healthy. Or Thomas or whoever would pinch in.

Why would you play an extra Canadian?
I'd rather just have to option to play someone instead of a guy who is injured. Just wouldn't want another lineman to go down without a healthy option to replace. If the deal is to get those guys their cheque, then can't we put one on the 1-game IR? Plus Spooner showed loyalty by staying with us earlier in the year, be nice to get him a game cheque too.
-
It has to be 2 americans? That doesn't make sense to me. If Spooner goes in directly to replace Bond, then I'm not sure why his nationality would count against him.
-
If they are sure Bond and Hardrick are out, why wouldn't they take them off the roster and add Spooner or something? Wouldn't he be able to play if something happens between now and game time to one of our other linemen?

As much as I don’t want Hurl playing, there’s no point in benching for him one game if we’ll have to put him back in once Bond is healthy.
I think we have to consider starting Coates at receiver and using that spot to play both of Nevis/Poop or benching Hurl.
I disagree. I'd love to see someone take over for Hurl for a game. He's being defended as doing a good job of filling his role, but if someone else comes in for a game and can make a difference we know that its bullshit.
-
Nice to see Thomas Miles making an impact on 2 plays today. Stuffing that TD was nice. Briggs seems to go on for Hurl on passing downs a lot, but maybe Miles could start spelling Hurl more often.

Moe's my favourite player on the team. Both on field and off field reasons for that. I've argued that he's the best linebacker in the league, maybe even best defensive player. He doesn't just come up with big plays stats wise, he's just very good at everything. Makes important tackles, covers well and of course the flashy stats above, usually at key times. He's about as clutch as they come and an incredibly classy guy as well.
For those who haven't heard it, listen to his interview on CFL:60 from Sept. 19. He used to be homeless, now lives in Winnipeg year round and volunteers his time frequently.

That one move near the start of the video where he's running into a pack of guys and spins out and finds space has Charles Roberts written all over it. Gotta see if he can disappear into a pile of lineman and then see him squirt out the other side magically.

I'd sure like to see Normand being used a bit more. Especially as it gets colder and we could use a hammer to nail some opposition linebackers. Who knows, maybe if he shows something other teams will have to respect the chance he could run when on the field in the playoffs. Plus Harris getting hit less in these last games which aren't crucial would be good.
I think its time to try a few different weapons out, alter the playbook a touch so teams won't know what's coming for the playoffs.

Looks like they were trying to stick with the ratio. Maybe that's why Ekakatie won over Johnson?

We will do our best to end their 20 year playoff run.
And it will be sweet.
And there will be a smile on Harris, and Leggett and both those guys who were hit out of bounds..
And cement Sask in the playoffs unfortunately.....

Seems like you're really hitting your stride with these now. Well done! Anyone know what happened with Bond and the BC player? Seems like he was penalized for something he said as Bond was walking off.

Kinda wish the Bombers didn't say they aren't exploring that option at this time. Would have liked to get a direct quote from Durant saying he's interested and the Bombers to emphatically reject it. As a bonus, perhaps then we would have more of a legal case as it would be Durant saying he would come back.
