  1. not everyone is willing to toil for a PR allowance
  2. Really lame excuse. Even if you want to turn your attention away from football fòr a while how does deleting your history hèlp in any way. smh
  3. It is fantastic to see him recover his confidence so well after the Montreal game. His emotional maturity will be what decides his career longevity and this was a very positive first step for him in establishing that he can be clutch even after a poor performance.
  4. I completely agree with you on McKnight, However, when you need someone you gotta go with what's available at the time. Perhaps, they had 20 guys ahead of him on a list but no one that can be here by Friday is all I'm saying.
  5. This is his employer telling him that his take was a really bad one that is embarrassing them and he should get it off his social media ASAP. I wish I could just erase every stupid opinion I ever shared and then blame it on Ukraine. Easier than saying I was dead wrong. Unfortunately, my audience is not as gullible as a Saskatchewan mouth breather.
  6. Who says they aren't looking? He could be gone off the PR by Friday for all we know.
  7. One thing that really separates our team from the Riders is that they have an "excuse" culture that permeates through their dressing room Their locker room leaders whether it is Cody Faj, Shaq Evans, Nick Marshall are constantly in the media blaming other players, or the reffing, or the weather for not winning. When your main locker room leaders are making excuses and throwing other players under the bus you have a very poor dressing room culture. They need to get rid of that ASAP and start encouraging player to start taking ownership of what they have or haven't been able to do. I mean seriously Shaq publically threw Duke under the bus, then blamed officiating for his penalty in the span of 30 seconds, Fajardo on a weekly basis has thrown one of his offensive groups under the bus for his poor play and when he couldn't blame them he blamed the weather. That kind of leadership sinks teams. It just does....but hey the excuse train is easier to ride than actually fixing your shortcomings I suppose. The problem is that when you have a culture of excuses, when one conveniently pops up like the Marino side show player jump on board and use it as a prebuilt reason not to do the work. Our team owns it. Good, bad, or otherwise and then goes out makes a commitment to improve on it and never make the same mistake again. That comes from a solid dressing room where players refuse to make excuses for themselves, and are answerable to each other. That kind of team wins the vast majority of the time. This is the type of player we make sure we are recruiting, and we FIFO everyone else.
  8. Yes teams can expand their PRs at some point in the season still. Not sure when that happens though. Knee is shot.
  9. We don't have time to make knee jerk excuses, our management and coaches deal with it very swiftly and very decisively.
  10. I would think that the majority of level headed Rider fans would see this as a good thing for the team, and the league. It's just the absolute wingnuts like Migs (Section139) who see this as a league conspiracy that explains away their losses this season. Losing 2/3 of our LBer crew and 2 safeties does not help the run stop at all either. We've been moving Biggie out of the run stop to help in coverage and dropping him deeper down the middle than he should be to help cover the middle of the field against the pass. Having BA back will be huge, as will getting Kyrie,. When Biggie can focus more on the run on 1st down because our lineup is TCB behind him a lot of run plays are going to dry up for the opposition.
  11. Almost certainly that is what happened. They did the same to the Bombers with Dyson. The CFL could suspend him indefinitely but then the CFLPA has the obligation to defend and it almost certainly would not survive arbitration. Therefore, you let the team know that this guy will be chased out of the league one way or another, and it is in your team's best interest to release him and then you just refuse to ever validate another contract for him. He has no legal protection from that.
  12. All of it is because of how badly we dominated them physically in the past couple years but instead of bringing in players who could match our physicality between the whistles they thought bringing in bad boys would do it. They seriously miscalculated. A dirty player doesn't make you more physically dominant....it just makes you a dirty team that loses a significant amount of yardage, momentum, and points due to penalty flags. All the stupidity and locker room cancer they took on and we still physically dominate them. That's going to be a tough thing to overcome for them. Now they have 2 problems to solve before they can compete at our level.
  13. Good expansion on what I stated. I totally agree.
  14. It means they don't want to risk him getting injured on teams.
  15. Seems like a pointless exercise to me.
  16. Only way I could make the comparison was to put the best out there in comparison. Still banging that drum. Give it up. No one agrees with you.
  17. Pretty much. Talent alone is not enough.
  18. Agreed. Every nose gets a double team for a lot of the game. It's what you are able to do with that double team that seperates the Stoves from the Marinos.
  19. It would make them worse if the dude actually played football instead of gooning it up.
  20. It is the very definition of a cheap, and illegal hit. Anyone arguing against that is insane. Man that guy has so much crow to eat he had to rent freezer space at the Denny's down the street. Even a RIder fan can sometimes see the obvious....jk....can't give you too easy of a time here or people will think we've gone soft.
  21. You should come. Just plan it beforehand for accommodations as not every hotel in Winnipeg is walking distance to the stadium or tailgate events like in Regina. O'Shea is quickly becoming a candidate for a statue outside the stadium, but I would never sign any coach to a 10 year contract. At some point and time every coach has a shelf life.
  22. No kidding. Rhymes and Evans must be smoking crack if they think a 50/50 altercation doesn't heavily favor the offence in their ability to go get the ball. The only time you see a push off getting called these days is when it is so blatantly obvious that the ref has no choice but to call it.
  23. About everything. Anything complimentary about the Bombers, or anything controversial, he takes the anti-Bomber tact. EVERY TIME. No one could possibly be that jaded or consistently see things so differently than everyone else for so many years. He's faithful to his shtick, and I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that is exactly what it is. I believe he is a Bomber fan who just gets his rocks off arguing against the masses.
  24. TB is maintaining that this was a football play and legal. He was on about the OPI too earlier. He seems to take the pulse of the forum on any issue and just create cockamamie arguments against the flow of traffic. Must get his kicks from it or something.
  25. Last year it wasn't until the final couple games he made any impact. Obviously, the Riders felt he would break out this year after losing some weight. However, it should have been abundantly obvious by game 9 or whatever the vet cut down day is that this wasn't going to happen. They should have shed his contract and saved some cap. They definitely have their own locker room requirements for that don't they.
