I was bitten once by the miserable experience of a Regina Grey Cup..too bad they don't do it like they host the LDC. Just extraordinarily bad gouging at every business in town, and just lack of infrastructure makes what little they do have too difficult to attain. Sad but true..a city of 250k simply cannot handle that level of tourism.

My heart was not really in it due to the weakness of the halftime act and the fact I went to the last 2 Grey Cups coupled with the abomination of an experience I had last Regina Grey Cup. Wants to see if Rourke goes to the NFL and if BC has any interest in him. Hamilton and the Riders will offer him the most money, but he stated he is looking for a championship and to cement his legacy. Rules the Riders out, as they are a tire fire. Hamilton may still persuade him though. If Rourke is gone, I could definitely see BC making a play for him for a year.

The Jeffs will make it impossible for MBT to have enough time to channel his ancestors, the cold weather will effect his ability to throw, and Harris does not scare me at all. Cut the cord years ago and stream all the games. I pay my 20 bucks a month during CFL season to TSN and then switch my membership to Crave for the remainder of the year. Used to keep TSN year round but discovered NHL66 and TSN became of no use to me for anything but CFL. Not that I am aware of, but Saturday isn't great either. You are then competing with hockey in the home market and UFC in the sports bar/restaurant venue.

As a former sports bar owner I can tell you emphatically that sports bars don't make much off of the CFL regardless. Sad but true. Hockey, UFC ppv, and NFL drive the sports bar business....in Manitoba anyway. Partners such as Labatt, Molson etc don't have any CFL driven giveaways or help with the CFL to draw people in to the sports bars for CFL viewing and frankly there is a reason for that. Sports bars will carry CFL games on secondary screens for those interested, but whether the game is a Saturday or Sunday it is not a sports bar engine...with the exception of local team big games, playoffs, and Grey Cup...really 3-4 CFL games a year.

No Riders in the WSF this year is the big difference in ratings.

Kind of a best case scenario last night. Trump's dream of running again all but dashed, DeSantis will almost certainly get the nod, The House going to the GOP and the Senate likely to remain with the DEMS make this a win for America imo.

Yea...there is no denying our O was crappy in the game. It was crappy all of that year. Our strength that season was Swaggerville, they were the reason we got there and they were the only way we were going to win that game. Blaming it on the O is just an opportunity to take a shot at Lapo in this instance. We had a team built primarily on defence and the defence let us down that game by being average.

Swaggerville allowed 34 points in that game. It wasn't their best performance. I am not defending our offence either, but we surrendered less than 20 points avg. all season long and then let BC take it to us for a big early lead and that changes the dynamic of any game considerably.

Swaggerville was fun while it lasted. Too bad they crapped the bed in the Grey Cup, but c'est la vie.

This is the match up I was hoping for. A mediocre BC Lions beat a Stamps team that decided to not go with their strengths. Sorry but this was more a Calgary loss than a BC win. They just really had a bad gamelan on offense. 14 points will never win you a playoff game where weather was not a factor.

The gappers might choose to cheer for a winner and pull for us, unfortunately they probably don't know what a winner looks like.

I agree. Not a single one of my children, nephews, nieces or their friends in that key demographic listen to Country. I am sure there are a few out there who do but it is definitely in small minority territory. How do I know this? 2019 and 2021 I had big Grey Cup parties and most of the 18-30 crowd arrived after half time to eat mostly..lol. Last year at Super Bowl those same people were texting me weeks before to see if I was hosting the Dr. Dre halftime show...didn't even call it Super bowl..lol.

My wife is a country music Twisted Tea junkie...she has never heard of 2/3 of these guys. Her reaction to me telling her was "Who? Well that sound boring" I HATE country music so I felt compelled to ask someone else before determining how lame this is.

Well a couple of them have sold records. However when in inbreeder country it only makes sense to book the inbreeding band you can find.
