CFL proposed rule changes for 2015
How do you not just handoff to Cornish after every touchdown? We'll see big, bruising 3rd QBs and fullbacks in the CFL Brohm or Pontbriand?

http://cfl.ca/article/major-rule-changes-approved-by-cfl-governors So Calgary will pretty much get 8 points with every touchdown...

Nice game... looked like a playoff team in those last three minutes...

Pav is starting to lose, back to Hutch ...
Forget all those stats... only one we have to worry about is that we're a very close to the end of a typical Pavelec hot streak... he's on fire for 10-15 games every year then back to his 90%ish save percentage. How many games since that Blues goal?

Game 80 : Jets @ Blues
What experienced defencemen? Nikitin's back is effed, Ference is done. Neither of these guys are particularly good Dmen. Oil don't even have the option to let Nurse mature... him and Schultz will be their number one pair next season. Edmonton keeps it close because other teams don't take them seriously. Either need a free agent frenzy or wait another 2-3 years to compete.

Game 80 : Jets @ Blues
Edmonton has like six good players... after that, its an AHL team.

Pavelec has always been hot and cold... we were lucky to have Hutchinson when Pavs sucked, and now that Hutch has gone cold, Pavs is streaking... Sadly $4 million is considered a reasonable contract, he's only signed for another year anyway, by that time, Helleybuck or Comrie should be ready. Or maybe Pavs gets better, who knows.

Game 80 : Jets @ Blues
Both Calgary and LA should win tonight... hopefully Chicago beats Minnie One point is pretty important.

Need miracles from Arizona and Edmonton tomorrow

Game 79 : Jets @ Wild
Chiarot had a really nice game, like that pairing of Myers and Chiarot. Frolik, Perrault and Stafford looked great. Still would rather see Buff on the third line instead of Stempniak when he gets back. Watching some of LA and Vancouver... still waiting for someone to throw a real hit. Vancouver is going to get annihilated in the playoffs.

2-0 without Buff

Haven't released him yet... and he's better than Sorenson, K-Groh and Baboulas for sure. Hmm, make $150k for a couple more seasons or retire...

Might be able to package Morley to Edmonton or Ticats... he is a proven Centre. Might have more value than we give him credit. Morley and 11 for 8 and 20

No natter what the ruling, Jay Harrison may be the better defensive option for the Jets going forward
I think Harrison makes smart plays, like the guy. Not saying Buff on D is a bad thing, just saying that Trouba and Myers eat up huge minutes and Buff would actually make more impact as a forward and a power play D right now. We're trying to pair Trouba-Buff sometimes and that just doesn't work.

Probably not going to happen but putting Buff back as a forward kind of makes sense - Perrault, Lowry and Buff would be a killer line for a playoff run. Stempniak has stone hands. Harrison and Pardy or Chiarot are safe, conservative D-men who can plug the puck up the boards; probably need a bit more of that.

Darren Cameron's blog on the CFL draft
I'd just stick with our three top 15 picks. We have decent NI depth at MLB/S/CB, four okay REC and 6-7 OL. Almost 30 NIs on roster and about 10-12 that should be upgraded. DL, REC, maybe RB/FB is probably our biggest need right now. 2. Waud, Demski (either of these guys step in and play this year) 11 and 15. Ruby, Campbell, Tennant, Murray-Lawrence, Abankwah 33 and 38. Rea, Bodanis, Abdesmad, Norzil, Lattanzio That's actually a nice draft.
