Couture at LG doesn't really worry me ... we have to let these guys play at some point, training wheels off. If he sinks, he sinks. Between Bryant and Goossen, I don't think one bad game from a LG is going to be the end all be all.
I hope we see Sayles come off the PR in Gaitor's spot. I don't want Leggett taking on full time HB duties, kick returns and missed field goal returns ... yet

Worth mentioning is that the CFL has maximum penalties stipulated in it's CBA, so at most, I think the penalties can be a fine or a one-game suspension currently but this is definitely something that needs to be addressed this offseason with the new CBA.
 
Also - Muamba is an absolute bum.

The hit on Ray was awkward.  I didn’t see anything wrong with it.  The two Stamps collided with the most force really.
They want to avoid judging intent but that’s BS.  Anyone who watches that Muamba hit knows what he’s doing,  Plus as you say by the letter of the law they can have a repeat offender scale for headshots.  Maybe first infraction is max fine, second and third is 1 game suspension, fourth is 3 games, fifth is 9 games and sixth is banishment from the league.
But for the love of god protect the QBs and skill players at the very least.  You have a guy like Streveler starring in his second start who could be a flash or he could be a star for the next 15 years and some loser like Muamba can attempt to take his head off, threatening his career and only get 15 yards.

Khari Jones is a terrible OC.  Sutton is by far their best weapon, had their only big play of the game.  Barely used.  There’s a way to build at least a reasonable offense with a bad OL and shaky QB, and it involves running the ball more than twice in the first half.

The common factor between the two is Joe Mack, is it not?

Goossen nailing Muamba after the cheap shot deserves at least a happy honker award.

Streveler and Nichols have one shared trait and it's the most important one... they are leaders on the field and everything flows from there. They have that confidence and the team plays with the same confidence.

Disagree that was a good Edmonton team in 2015 with Walker, Bowman, Willis, Sheritt etc. Still is a good team.

Watching the game right now ... Carter is pitiful on the corner. Absolutely pitiful. You have to question any roster decision where you essentially bench a top 10 receiver in the league in order to get a below replacement level DB on the field. That being said, I wouldn't want that idiot anywhere near our team. Very Muamba-esque in the sense that there's probably a big reason he only plays for losers.
Rider D notably better when it's Eguovean (whatever) in the middle with Judge at WIL, as opposed to Hurl in the middle and that alphabet guy at WIL. 
Another questionable decision - cutting Travis Bond so you can essentially hold an audition at his spot two games into the year? LOL are they seriously rotating Bladek and this American pylon? Wow.
Collaros hurt is a shame ... for Collaros. Don't care about Rider Nation after what they had to say about Nichols getting hurt.

comparing stats..players..games from different era's let alone different years is a waste of time. Analyze the now..and what was done in the moment and base a judgement. A Streveler playing the game in which Brock did in that era would most likely have run roughshod and won..but again...why even compare
For as raw a rookie as a QB can be in any league I expected less...wanted more...and got a good indicator on what he is after a decent game.
He didn't do anything dumb and try to force stuff that wasn't there...he actually was reading the defense and went to spots that his reads favored...He had the presence on the field that you want to see in a QB and shows that has ability to extend drives with his legs...and will get better with that aspect...and bet you see significant improvement in Mtl.
Is he going to be a world beater this year in any games...most likely not...but then again, if his progression continues as it has since TC then he could possibly do that. is he going to make rookie errors..you bet....but he is going to do some things that will make people stand up and notice...most definitely...he already has
Bottom line, with more experience he is going to give us a chance to win games when he is in, more than being just a placeholder where we are hanging on for dear life with no real legit reason to think otherwise. As well, once Nichols is back the team will have a very good "capable" QB who the team is confident and comfortable with. What more could you want...and I'd go as far to say that next year we will have the top QB tandem in the league

This could easily fit in any post game discussion thread. You haven’t even created anything of substance here. You have four sentences, one fact and one thought.
I’ll share my thoughts though, since I don’t feel like being the guy who comes in here just to tell you what a grave mistake you’ve made ... our D looked predictable and unfortunately, it was being outcoached that did us in from what I saw ... didn’t catch the whole game, but I saw the end and it’s a classic case of being far too predictable in your schemes and trying to go to the well too many times. Might work against a Streveler ... not against a Reilly
 

They didn’t need to stop the clock.  Clock stops after every play inside 3 minute warning until the 20 second clock starts.  Would have been more advantageous to keep the clock moving as much as possible and either kick to win with no time left or get to OT and take your chances.

Quite. I prefer that coffee stays in my mouth and not on my I phone screen. I hold several parties here directly  responsible.
