this **** pisses me off. So my mother in law is a severely compromised MS sufferer. She's only 65, but you'd think she's 90. Fully bed-ridden, can't feed herself...nothing. She's been triple-vaxxed since late last year and will be getting her 4th at the end of Feb. My only *real* concern throughout the pandemic is keeping her safe. Somehow, so far, we've dodged the bullet (*knocks on wood*)...... I thank Christ (metaphorically) every damn day for the vaccines that have kept her somewhat safe....

Freedom is something you fight for, because that kind of power must be earned and respected. Entitlement is something you expect to be handed to you because you believe it is your automatic right above all others. Way too many people today seem to falsely equate the two as the same thing. 

Far side of the moon? That's too bad for amateur astronomers. It's an unfortunate situation but at least the observations will further our scientific understanding of the moon.

Space junk is an ever increasing issue. Several  manned units have had to alter course to miss junk lately. This one mind you ,is just interesting.

These ‘pro choice medical treatment’ people need to be full court pressed on social responsibility. Having to educate an adult on this is mind boggling. There are so many other things mandated in society that allows these same people to live in a environment free of inappropriate behaviour that directly impacts them.

Seriously,  my neighbor is a antivaxer and is currently taking cancer treatments. His wife ,also unvaccinated,  has a life-long auto-immune disease and will be on a host of different drugs extending her life.  It leaves me speechless at times.

He never murdered his son. He fell off the balcony when the sliding door was accidentally left open by the maid in the kid's mom's high rise condo in New York. A 31-year-old father in need of a heart transplant has been bumped from the transplant list at Brigham and Women’s Hospital because he won’t get vaccinated against COVID-19, CBS Boston reports. “It’s kind of against his basic principles—he doesn’t believe in it,” David Ferguson told the news outlet of his son, DJ Ferguson. The father of two was at the top of the transplant list until he was removed over his vaccination status, his father said. It was not immediately clear why he was in need of a heart transplant. The hospital released a statement explaining that the vaccine requirement is standard policy, as the jab creates “both the best chance for a successful operation and also the patient’s survival after transplantation.” Arthur Caplan, the head of Medical Ethics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, put it more simply: “Post any transplant, kidney, heart whatever, your immune system is shut off. The flu could kill you, a cold could kill you, COVID could kill you. The organs are scarce, we are not going to distribute them to someone who has a poor chance of living when others who are vaccinated have a better chance post-surgery of surviving.”

My condolences to you and your family.  I can unfortunately relate... my brother passed away on Sunday (some may remember him from here & the old OB forum as Taynted_Fayth) so we're also trying to figure out how to hold a service.  Not the easiest thing to do at the best of times.
