receivers, Lanford, and LDamian I guess,   can not figure out how to get open. You could see them easily,  defender in front, defender behind, no way to safely throw them the ball.

I will guess that the offence is now hooped with this set of receivers.

No real weapons left worth mentioning for the passing attack.

two Canuck "possession" receivers, plus Denmark, and Harris.

And For some reason, Denmark did nothing today.

So they key on Harris, and result, No touchdowns.

Are rosters frozen or can FAs still be signed?

Says who?  We have no idea what Nichols injury is.  Maybe extra rest would make no difference?  Saturday's game is a big one and we need him playing, if he's healthy enough to do so.  I'll trust Nichols and the staff to decide that.

Lol is that your opinion? I just was going by my observations from TSN. His throwing hand looked pretty mangled. Bauming is reporting that he is throwing some nice spirals, but some wobblers as well.  I guarantee one good smack on a helmet or caught between some pads and  he out of the game. That hand is going to be sore and the ball difficult to grip.  I’m just thinking that the safer bet would be to prepare Davis as starter on Saturday bc if he has to come in again like that the results will be no different.  Again...just my opinion

  3. Just my opinion, but why not just deem Davis starter for this week giving Nichols a week for his hand to heal rather than risking further injury?  He’s not going to be 100% this week, but with some rest he could be next week and the final 3 games.  Davis practices with the # 1 offence and can develop a better connection with them.  The club is risking the season by playing Nichols.

  4. With the trade deadline approaching tomorrow I’m wondering if any of the current injuries are going to play into effect of any consideration of making a move or two.  If Flanders is going to be out for some time and Dressler hurt more than he is healthy, do they consider bringing in a receiver or RB? I suppose Hamilton and Montreal are really the only two teams that would want to be moving pieces out at this time.  It would be nice to get Lawrence from the ticats.  He alone could probably turns things around on D (If Hall would let the dogs loose a bit more).

BC and Edmonton have an abundance of receivers, but I can’t see them swinging a trade with Winnipeg.  Sure would be nice to have a guy to take the pressure off Adams.  Now not sure how crazy of an idea this is, but what about Nik Lewis? He may be playing his last year and Mtl may do him a favour and trade him to a contender(probably Calgary if anywhere) for one last chance at the Grey Cup. Of course he wouldn’t be the type of receiver that is going to stretch the field , but again if Flanders is hurt he may be able to partly fill that void at a relatively cheap price.

  5. Sorry auto correct on my phone keeps wanting to put  Langford.  My bad, you are right KR.  My point being. Why take Lankford  out who has been productive and a threat on returns and on offence? With Dressler out Lankford is the only receiver with wheels on the sweep now that Dressler is out.  Has Fogg even come close to breaking through on a PR? Others have looked better back there.

Yes, I guess Thorpe in unique in tha regard..

Im usually of the mindset that receivers are a dime a dozen as well, but Thorpe is a type of receiver that the club does not usually have.  I hope this move doesn't bite them in the ass.  It's nice to have a good variety of weapons in your arsenal.
