  1. it's almost like the league enjoys promoting rivalries...
  2. I don't mind this schedule at all. Nice and balanced. Not a big fan of back to backs to end the season, but understand it. Could be some exciting football at that time of year.
  3. I personally would love to see another 3 pages of this completely fascinating debate..........
  4. Yeah they reduced the diameter I think last year...? I could be wrong maybe it's still to come. But I remember them making chances that will make the ball essentially an NFL ball with strips.
  5. How many "raw rookies" do that at the NFL level though? Like 2 a season maybe? And then how many are actually good? This is out of hundreds of players. Players who are smart enough, and talented enough to start as a rookie in the NFL, start in the NFL. And players who are even remotely close to doing this, still play in the NFL because they make WAAAAAAAY more money sitting on the PR of a team then they would starting in the CFL. You're making it seem like these players are a dime a dozen. They aren't. They are like finding a needle in a hay stack. Then you need to convince said needle to head north, learn a new a game for far less money then they could be making staying at home playing a game they are familiar with. Even if CFL teams send thousands of scouts out, believe it or not the CFL isn't exactly a high priority landing spot for most college kids, and there is still a lot of convincing that needs to be done.
  6. Doing well in a game they've probably played and been coached in their entire life or a good portion of it anyway. The CFL is a different game, different rules, different places to place a ball, different balls even (though not so much anymore), more players, more movement, different types of D, different types of blitzes, etc etc etc. It is 100% not as easy as you're making it seem, to go from one to the other. Which is why the CFL doesn't have a multitude of QB's coming up that can excel in the CFL.
  7. FTFY might help to explain some things...
  8. yup, couldn't agree more. Mistakes made are often put on the shoulders of players who didn't even make the mistake...they just didn't get the pass off, or dropped the ball etc like you said. In football, mistakes/missed assignments etc have a ripple affect.
  9. cause that's not how football works....? Rec is told to run a route. QB is given options. If he sees a rec open, he throws it with the route the rec is supposed to be running in mind. If one or the other does something different without the other knowing or picking up on it, you get an incomplete pass.
  10. There just aren't a lot of acts that can play in a stadium and are currently touring or touring during the right months anyway.
  11. And no Offensive line.
  12. You know attendance is based off ticket sales and not butts in seats right?
  13. You're making assumptions....follows it up with a bunch of assumptions.
  14. Bolden and Hefney for me. Bolden was just too good. Hefney was just clutch. Best open field tackler in the CFL in his prime.
  15. Murphy was lucky to be a part of such a great organization. Without the riders he wouldnt even have a career in the CFL! Lolololol
  16. Of all the debates we've had. The greatest punter just can not be debated. In the top ten punters in BB history, Cameron holds the top 5 and #7. Ryan can have #6 Longevity isn't the only deciding factor, but it definitely plays a big part. Especially because his record for games played will likely never be broken. It's not like it was just 8 seasons or something. If I've got to pick one punter in their prime to play a one and done game. It's Cameron every single time. I'm not trying to take anything away from Ryan either, he was a very talented punter for the bombers. Cameron is just on another level.
  17. Damn, those two along with Biggy being gone would be an absolute disaster.
  18. Why is walters neck so long lol
  19. It wasnt. And that's not how a commissioner works.
  20. You're criticisms dont make any damn sense though. The CFL needs to bring in a more diverse crowd....so they should not celebrate or talk about the diversity that already exists in league....?? Wtf Also...nothing lasts forever...gtf over it. The world would be a lot better if people stopped refusing to change/adapt/evolve.
  21. Any Starting Canadian LBers available this off season? Besides Muamba and Hurl...
  22. My favorite part is how all his examples got playing time. My 2nd favorite part is how he is comparing playing time of an All star Vet and Rookies.
  23. Completely agree. I don't understand the shouldn't get politics involved crowd. Life and Politics just go hand in hand now. If we don't want politics in sports, then stop the national anthem. Stop the military days, there could even be a case to stop certain commercials from airing. It's just a ridiculous point of view.
  24. lol. Ok...but you can't accurately compare how defences play him when he is starting vs coming off the bench for a play or two. That's just bad science. It is far more accurate to say he is better as a sStarter then off the bench. (based on those stats) Then to say what you're claiming. There's no way of knowing how the D adjusted to him coming off the bench compared to how they played Nichols. We can assume, but still no solid evidence. The only thing those numbers show for sure, is he was more accurate in games he started, then games he didn't.
  25. lol So what these stats show (if correct) is that he is more accurate when he gets more playing time or is starting than he is coming off the bench....thank you for proving everyones point!
