As for the VET american thing. I think rather then being an incentive for teams to keep them at all costs, it's more about getting the players to choose their team. Rather then explore FA/ 1 year contracts etc. This past year the FA movement wasn't great. Sure it drew some excitement and was unique. But it was slated to become the norm. That's not good from a league perspective.

Reality is you can go 4-0 and still miss the playoffs. Or you can go 0-4 and make them. The point I was making, is games 1 through 4 (I'd argue even up to 7 or 8 ) dont make or break seasons. BC winning or losing game 1 will not be a large factor in how the season turns out for either team.

Meh, the first 4 games of the season are basically pre season. CFL is such a long road....1st game mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme.

Yup, of course Walters is going to speak that way about Jones. He basically has too. Saying that, I do remember hearing on this forum as well as from friends who went to camp that Jones seemed to have taken another step and was looking very good on D. Does he regain that form? That's another question all together. Reason for optimism forsure, but he still has lots to prove.

Edwards needs to stay in his damn lane. You don't go running your mouth about a negotiation when you're right in the middle of it. End of story. He can take his damn feelings and shove it. As a fan of the CFL and someone who isn't totally naive when it comes to professional negotiations Edwards is 100% wrong, and I'm glad both the CFL and CFLPA are being PROFESSIONAL (Edwards please look this word up) about the process.

Dickenson has always had at least two of these - All star QB, All Star RB, All Star WR, Multiple All stars on Oline, and dominate Defense. Now outside of the D, is it Dickenson making the all stars, or the all stars making Dickenson?
