  1. That's fair, but he did drop a decent amount of footballs. Along with making some interesting choices off the field. Dont like the timing of this though
  2. Exactly. After that drop in Edm, something just wasnt right. The HB didnt make that play, Matthews flat out dropped it. The same way he dropped the pass on the sidelines at home. He caught some, but dropped the important ones. Not completely surprised by the move, but the timing isnt great....especially because he can just go sign anywhere now.......... Also what's the chances this is a cap move? Zylstra still in the good books in MN?
  3. Will be interesting to see how the CFLPA handles matters like this moving forward. I mean, Hecht kinda deserves what he's getting. But in the off season all you heard was "CFL brotherhood this, CFL brotherhood that". They all look like a bunch of dummies jumping on one another. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.
  4. Fair enough. But if Santiago was that much better, they would have found a way to get him dressed. We didn't always need a back up CND RB....well at least for the past 2 weeks or so. I expect both to dress, but think Augustine gets the call to start.
  5. I would like to introduce you to Mike Oshea.... lol For real though, I'm sure he's more then capable. But Oshea does what Oshea does. The back up will usually get the benefit of the doubt.
  6. Yeah, you know the team that gave up 14 sacks in two games...
  7. Jones just couldn't get it done.
  8. I'm sure Santiago is a solid running back. But I don't get why people are so high on him. He has exactly zero carries so far in his career. lol. Augustine has been playing all year, been a part of practices, has time in game. And has shown well when given the opportunity. I'll be blown away if Santiago is starting over Augustine.
  9. Unfortunately, just wouldn't be a good test. Too many variables. Unless he has an unopened container that he bought at the same time....and some kind of proof that he purchased it at the same time as the one that he claims is contaminated. While unlikely, he could potentially add stuff to the supplement now that would back up his story. I'm not saying he would, but in a court of law (which is likely where it would end up if he accuses a business) it just wouldn't hold any weight.
  10. Dont need one. Bombers started 8 nationals last week. No reason they cant do the same this week.
  11. I completely disagree. Obviously you're not going to replace a Andrew Harris...but that is exactly the same for every great player. The same way we couldn't replace Milt, or the same way TO/CGY couldn't replace Flutie etc etc etc. The team already has an american back that can just come in and play. However I think we see Augustine start. This team isn't and hasn't been about a balanced attack. It's about running the ball. It's not going to change because they lost a player for 2 weeks.
  12. And we're STILL better then the riders.
  13. Well said. But...I still hate you. Soooo...Go to hell....with love of course.
  14. You wouldn't leave the choice up to the players, is what I'm saying. The team/league etc would say here's a list you can take, they would supply the teams...and that would be that. You wouldn't leave it up to the players to ask the team to test whatever supplement is trendy that week. Obviously there's a cost to all of this. But there's also a cost to having a potential MOP get busted due to contamination (assuming that's what happened).
  15. Well that would be the whole point...the team (or league? or CFLPA? etc) would be responsible for making sure they are what they say they are.
  16. the counter to that is, if you want to look innocent then you will appeal for the reasons you stated above. If he doesn't appeal, people will assume he's guilty. If he does appeal, people will assume he's appealing so he doesn't appear guilty to try and save face. That's the unfortunate thing for harris moving forward now. This will be a cloudy spot in his otherwise sunny career regardless of the truth.
  17. I'm not sure anyone has said anything like that. Booch was just saying how the two situations were different. One was full blown negative test. The other, trace amounts. They did...see Millers comments on working with the league...Literally the second paragraph in the article "The Winnipeg Blue Bombers fully support the CFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs and have fully cooperated with the CFL in regard to this matter." Now you're getting pissy cause the HC wants to back his guy? SHOCKING...HC BELIEVES HIS PLAYER....OMG...HOW COULD HE!?! Have you not been paying attention to Oshea these past few years? He will 100% never throw a player under the bus, regardless of the situation. It's just not what he does. GTF over it. My thoughts too. There has to be a limit to what the body can take in regards to supplements. Sooo why teams aren't going "hey, these are what you can take, etc etc etc...and this is how much you can take, Have at'er!" I just don't get it. I mean there's always going to be the guys looking for an edge. But why teams don't try to get in front of that I haven't ever understood.
  18. Exactly. Jefferson is still on the Field. That's who they should be worried about.
  19. I mean, they are rider fans... But I remember reading something years ago about a 3rd party that took a bunch of supplements and vitamins to test for accuracy. I cant remember the exact numbers of products that weren't even remotely close to what they claimed but it was well over half of them. This is a major problem. Doesn't excuse Harris, as he should know better. But it is certainly possible at the very least that whatever he took was contaminated.
  20. Having a Kilkenny in the town of Kilkenny will always be one of y favorite memories. Great beer, you have a ton of them without the lasting hang over.
  21. lol if you're going to worry about what others say, you're going to be constantly worrying.
  22. Found this via twitter....interesting if nothing else https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/18563865/
  23. Who cares? The day I start giving a **** about what other fans (let alone complete strangers) think of me or my fandom of the bombers is the day I jump off a cliff.
  24. Not ideal...but a healthy and fresh RB coming into the second half of the season is pretty ideal. He's going to get basically 4 weeks off. He will have fresh legs and a big old chip on his shoulder come mid September!
