Not to completely derail the topic.... but you know what would help out immediately for downtown would be for them to ban pan handling , window washers and for them to really pro actively boot out the drunks. They did this when I lived out East and it was night and day difference in how comfortable it was walking downtown there compared to here. Make the place safe and people will come.... building new things like this definitely helps... they still however have to cleanse the filth in order to get people to want to hang in that area on any given day (rather then for special events only).

Yes some times people let talent go away... the problem is that this team was plucking the proven losers from other rosters. I didn't think signing Darvin Adams was a bad move and he may still have a role... but if this team wants to get serious on upgrading talent at receiver then signing a Dressler immediately will boost the talent.

I never understood the squash matches.... it made for some real boring tv. Only Sharpe and Horowitz ever actually were allowed to perform a few moves of offense... otherwise it was fat local guys who pretty much were beaten to a pulp with zero challenge.

Well it's not hard for your trajectory to go up when in season one you catch only 13 passes. Did you know that Darvin Adams had more receptions then Ryan Smith ? Did you also know that Dressler had more receptions then Ryan Smith playing on the exact same thing? Also did you know that Dressler has five 1000 yard seasons while Smith has had none... When you cherry pick stats it doesn't tell the full story now does it. Smith is a promising young player.... but does the Blue really need to sign big contracts on "promising guys"? This team needs stability in the worst way!

What if he Maurice Prices it up? It's not like Dressler is playing on his last legs and is way over the hill. I'd way prefer the Bombers take a known and then go sign a bunch of young hopefuls then to dump all our eggs in a guy who "may" have been a flash in a pan and who "may" not live up to expectations all while Dressler goes out and has yet another 1000 yard season.

What if Smith is a one hit wander? Dressler is a proven guy he would be the smart and more safe bet. He makes more sense for us to go with.

Moore when healthy was really really good.... the problem was purely the health. I'd rather the team move on and if Moore is willing to take a heft pay cut then I have no problem bringing him back...

I just read a bit of riderfans... They truly are starting to convince themselves that Dressler is the bad guy while Jones is good. Specially after the Dressler post. The few rider fans who are not blinded do have a plausible theory. That Jones offered a real lowball offer to Chick and Dresser that they would obviously reject. He did this only so he can tell the fans that they tried to retain them in order for the fans to not riot and revolt day one. I strongly believe Dressler when he said no real attempt to work with him to stay was made. It's working because riderfans are posting that Dressler is a hypocrite and that he did the same to the club when he went to KC for money and that he isn't truly loyal because he went to the NFL.

I was listening to h and l yesterday and they had a reporter from St Louis. He said that the team received 400 million from community funds which is one of the highest ever for a sports team. That the owners said a few years back they want it which resulted in a drop of 15000 season tickets. Sounded like they have dickhead owners that burned the city. Lawless suggested that Jacksonville might go to St Louis down the road.

Moore's value definitely has dropped, its smart to keep him for now and see where Carter and Dressler end up.

Dressler does not drop passes or ever play inconsistent, I'd pay whatever it takes to get him. Pass on Chick...only way I'd sign him is of he would take a discount to play close to his family which I believe is in Saskatchewan. Dressler I'd take over Carter even... He would help big time.
