In fairness Lankford had haters earlier this season and last year. I think the hate will shift to the defense and Loffler will get more hate as the season progresses.

I don't mind some fun... but I don't imagine casual fans carrying about what kind of dinners the QB and RB will be buying the o-line and Milt being confused on what a two-four is...

I believe we already know what we have with Lankford. I would like for them to give the unknown guys a chance to see if they can shine rather then going with the already known (mediocrity).

And this is why it has been much easier to attract free agents for our team over the last few seasons.

I wouldn't say that... he did more good then bad with us. I'd say someone like Odell Willis in his prime was more of a penalties outweigh the performance....

I would gladly avoid P & M every day but unfortunately the city has no freeways and no way to get from my work back to my home in a timely manner outside of using P & M. The concrete jungle / architecture has absolutely nothing to do with people not going to P & M. The absolute main reason is the safety issue. My poor wife and her co workers daily have to deal with extremely nasty individuals who harass them for money , smokes, drugs, or sexually harass them. They go for Tim Hortons runs in numbers because they don't feel safe going alone. This was exactly the same 10 years ago when I worked near Portage Place I would have to stand guard for the female smokers because it was non stop very aggressive and at times physical harassment. Their would be no sensitive pc way to clean up downtown so I can't imagine any way the place would get significantly better. They would have to immediately ban and charge anyone pan handling (like they do in Ottawa) and have a massive police presence at all hours to make downtown work at all. To make downtown work you would need more then just the night crowd bar hopping... you would need families and older people to come downtown also. Zero chance of that happening until the streets are cleaned up from the riff raff.

Well no matter who they put in place.... they cannot have any less production then what Bowman was giving us. Anything would be an upgrade at this point. But if we're playing the old lets sign a vet because we recognize the name then what about Bakari Grant?

To much goofing around on the panel, I'd drop Milt and Burris since they state the obvious and really don't add much. I wouldn't mind having a coach on the panel to mix it up ... maybe since Lapo is a complete crap OC (based on what I read on here) he can go back on TSN after he is terminated and every other team passes on him.

Streveler is a raw rookie... I'd like for him to get a few series here and there and maybe some garbage time if we are beating on a team badly. But any talk of him starting over Matt is ridiculous.

Where would you park? I drive through that intersection every weekday twice a day... I am forced to roll my windows up most days because the wind is so strong that it blows my parking pass off the mirror and absolutely devastates my beautiful well styled hair ! The wind absolutely is a huge issue.

The mock up had a patio like environment. It would only work if the patio was glassed in to block the wind... the wind is ridiculous at that intersection.

Bowman's original idea is that the intersection will be a meeting place where people will hang out.... and I'm trying to say nobody is going to hang out at that intersection. Using the Jets coming back or PAN AM games as examples (as he did) was extremely weak since those are once in a lifetime type of events. Regardless as said earlier in this thread the people will vote and I will assume this will go away and we can focus on realistic ideas on making downtown alive again.

Lol it's not 2 minutes though... when the streets are gridlocked (during rush hour) it effects everyone waiting down the street at other lights. I think you are equally confused on how it impacts the times. It would only be a minute or two *if* every other intersection was clear and that if that set of lights were the only one you would hit. Nearly every day I sit waiting at a green light because ahead of me it is lined up with people unable to move forward. The ligth at P & M is the main set of lights which help clear out the backlog on Portage since Main has the extra lane and generally moves quicker. A dumb comparison you say... if that were the case then how come in Winter the sky walks are completely packed and the sidewalks are empty?

Considering way back in the day Baltimore averaged 37 000 per game as a brand new team with zero CFL history and a tonne of other football competition.... it truly is baffling why no one goes to the games? I can understand BC because of the massive amount of minorities with zero interest in football.... but Toronto really has no excuses....

And why does our attendance dip for Bomber games as the weather grows colder even if we are riding a hot team going into the play offs. The intersection with the most powerful and howling winds and them wanting to set up cafes and a place to stop at this same intersection and you don't think weather would make an impact? Is your first name Nasty?
