World Junior Championships 2021
Brandon replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Instead of crapping on the team, why doesn't the tournament have a mercy rule? Call the game when someone has a ten goal lead? -
Curt Keilback with the Ess-ennnn-sa with the save was always classic. My brain is turned off... whoever was doing the radio broadcasts in the past years (not Dennis Beyak whoever the other guy) was absolutely terrible. Calls the game to fast and I always found his "He scorrrrrrrreees" to sounding like nails on a chalkboard. He sounds like Ralph Kramden.

He should go to prison, unfortunately with our system he most likely will lose his license, go to anger management and get a light slap on the wrist.

I never knew that they had I think the term is phantom drummers/guitarists who played the music live off stage during concerts while Peter Criss and Ace were unplugged on stage (because of the drugs) and that eventually they fired them and replaced them with the phantom players. All I remember from watching the documentaries about Kiss is that Gene and Paul were all money all business while the others were more so like your regular rock stars.
-
Hilarious meaning messed on drugs and part of the reason why he got the boot because him and the drummer were unreliable.

I would not say Adams is a sensation just yet.
-
It will be weird hearing her in a non squeeky high pitch voice.
-
The Burp scene is still classic

Do I want to share with everyone the costs of using satellite internet.... add several more zeroes at the end of Starlinks price.....
-
Nice! I hope they keep it rated R... maybe with less rape scenes lol.
-
That is super cheap all things considered. People up North or in remote areas will be absolutely thrilled at those prices.

Funny unrelated story.... I work in IT and a co worker of ours only learned of the pr0nhub and other streaming porn sites about 2 years ago. I was completely amazed and it was almost like we were speaking with someone that woke up from a long term coma and catching up with modern times. The guy was blown away that he didn't have to buy the pr0n from his Shaw anymore lol.

I fall under use common sense. I'm not going to rat out my senior neighbour who lives alone and decides to have a grand child come over and are dealing with massive depression from being alone during the holidays and most of the year. I will however call and report when someone has a New Years party with 20 people in the house just because they have to party and get their drank on.

Bingo! When I visited some reserves in Fall they were really good at monitoring people coming in and out and at the local restaurant/gas stations/community store they were doing a great job of everyone wearing masks and social distancing. Better then in Winnipeg. However some reserves such as Shamattawa are similar to how it is in the Mad Max movies. I can't put it in a nice way but they are completely different from most of the other reserves.

I don't believe in whatever simulation they are using. I use the real simulator which is the NHL 1994 remaster which is currently free on Xbox Game Pass and the Jets are much better in that game then what indicates on that guys twitter. The defense is a bit weak but Helle is one of the top goalies in the game and I seem to always get 5 goals per game with Scheifele. The Jets are definitely not the worst Canadian team.

Personally I think it's over saturating the franchise. However the ten short animated special could be awesome like the Animatrix was.
-
Ford was way to old in the last Indiana Jones movie.... why do they think it's a good idea to bring him out again? Wouldn't this be the right time to reboot the series with a new lead?
-
I see they caved to the pressures of Springs. That's sad.
-
Short term Rivers is definitely an improvement over Jimmy.
-
Dak Prescott Phillip Rivers Cam Newton (yuck) Ryan Fitzpatrick Carson Wentz Jameis Winston I guess it depends on the direction they want to go.... stop gap for a few years... will they draft someone... stick with Jimmy?

You are thinking with your heart and not with the head. I'm not saying the greats of the past are bums and were never good, in the eras they played in they were elite. Your argument would be that Johnny Unitas and the all stars of 1960 would be able to hang and possibly beat the NFL all star club of 2020. It wouldn't even be close the 2020 club would absolutely destroy them and their is nothing wrong with that being the case because over time sports evolve and get better with each year. The original post was about Mike Kelly saying that modern CFL QB's couldn't hang in 1994 and he's completely wrong based on the part above in which I highlighted. If you disagree then that means you and Mike Kelly have the exact same thought pattern and well if you want to be grouped with Mike Kelly in anything about pro football then I really can't say anything else. In 2009 Kelly was ridiculed for running a dated offense and was completely wrong on how a successful CFL offense works.... 11 years later he's still saying the same things and I don't believe anyone (aside from possibly you) would join him on thinking that he knows what he is talking about.

It's amazing that they are at almost .500 based on how many and how all of their best players have been hurt this year. Complete write off season and I wonder if next year they bring in a new QB?
-
Remember back in the day many atheletes were smoking, were not taking any "supplements" , would walk in off the streets and just play, they would take the off season off and relax.... these days most of the players are doing year round training , working with nutrionists / personal trainers , working out smarter and better.... as I said you just can't compare. I'm sure if the classic players had all the modern day advantages that they would of even been even better but that's not the case. Do yourself a favour and watch old sports... it's funny to go back (hockey is the best to watch) and see just how inferior players were. The best example because the sport is so young is go and watch classic UFC. Back in 1994 Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie were the elite fighters.... a middle of the pack welter weight in present day UFC would absolutely destroy anyone in the first many UFC's because fighters now days are so far in advance in fighting knowledge and training. And no Speedflex... just because the first several UFC's were more physical and brutal... that still wouldn't change the fact that Tyron Woodley would of killed and easily won the early UFC with little to no effort.
