As I understand this..... We are forced to yank our vet starter, after 3 series....because the big bad Argos decided to engage that shocking defensive strategy, known as the "blitz".....and it is their fault for doing it..... because they "shouldn't do it" and/or.... we can't stop it! Nothing like handing the opposition an advantage on us, both physically and mentally...... The Argos read the paper, featuring Burke's comments...... before the game, and somehow deduce that running a blitz or two, just might be a real good idea. Hell, if I was them....I sure as hell, would, period. And then I hear all the whining on OB and other quarters, about it. If the team has become that paranoid, about Buck....then his usefulness may be coming to a quick end.... Pretty weak sauce.......that needs to be replaced with some jam.....

Traffic must of been wicked....plenty-of-stragglers drifting in ... ....followed by even more people... departing early.... But at least, the Bombers finally burst out of the gate, quickly...... ....and then I wake up.... Bomber QB's threw some truly ugly INT's..... Argo QB's marched the ball up and down the field.... Double blue must of had 450+ yds....to show for it..... Jake Thomas, Freddy Harris, Brown, and J.T. Gilmore had some moments.... ....but in the main....not enough pressure by front 7, or coverage in back..... Ryan Lucas looked pretty good..... The acoustics in this place....could make things pretty loud... ...not that we were going to find out tonight.....crowd wise.... ....notwithstanding the ear splitting volume on the PA system.... Argo receivers: open all over field....all night.... Bomber receivers: blowing patterns...not making plays..... Some good kick returns and very good kick coverage, by Blue ....but completely and totally sucked in... on Argo fake punt.... Markett demonstrated some nice man on man skills, at DB Renaud recovered own punt and kicked very well..... ....of course having punter as best player....sign of trouble.... At least...main concourse....kept some people occupied...... We still have the worst hurry up offence, in creation.... Buck Pierce didn't complete a pass, but managed to take some hits.... Goltz didn't get many touches..... Hall had extended time, showed some good reads and poise in pocket.... Clement: good legs, questionable accuracy...... Red zone late 1.....Argo QB drops ball in pocket, picks it up.... .... still has time to make coffee and add milk, before throwing TD pass... Red zone late 2....Clement/RB blow hand off, then Blue turn over ball on 3rd down.. Brett Cameron got off a poor punt....but made his first FG.... Bomber LB crew got worked over, but good......... Brett Carter and Jade Etienne led the way (2 grabs each) Blue did a good job of keeping offence "under wraps" ....in fact, not much on film for people to look at on D, as well..... Argos leave at least a dozen starters at home....... ....yet it looked like the other way round, tonight.... Player should be real happy, there is another x-hib game.... ...because if not....you could just cut about 25 guys....tomorrow.... Tried to cheer myself up, at the supposed new/improved concessions..... .....lousy chicken "tender", followed by a lame sausage.....just no dice... But, contrary to what people might think....night not a total loss... ....actually got back in time, for more gin and 3rd overtime of hockey.... ...uh, much more gin..... If this stuff translates into less laying on their stomachs, or crumbling under adversity during the real games, then fine......

When the Crow has an effective O running consistently......then I'll call him a "guru". Frankly, midway through the season....that O, still looked like a LaPolice production - which probably irked Mack (after demanding radical change). We still slipped into some bad habits, near the end of the season - like not using Simpson in the redzone and falling back into that stupid "horizontal" passing attack, at times. But its a clean slate, this year.

Nothing like the in-depth and incisive coverage.... that our football team gets around here. Winnipeg simply has some real crown jewels, within the local football media......

Well, going forward.....just not sure... if I should be seen talking to that Jones-Milt fella. I do have my reputation to consider......

Glad I found this site......nice job. Looking at the posters in this thread.......looks like we can have some real football discussion, tempered by some wit and style. Still maintain good relations on OB, mostly due to my sensitive and caring nature......I have no axe to grind with anyone.....well, perhaps a razor or two.....
