You're thinking of the wrong play. BC ended the game by taking 3 knees at the bomber goal line. That absolutely was a mercy play to not run up the score.

He didn't have an active registered contract though, they refused to register the new contract the Argos had signed him to (same thing they warned they would do with Marino if someone tried to sign him).

You can't manually but you can always just post a message prior to kickoff or send Rich a DM, letting him know what you want to change.

Marino was not under contract with anyone and the league sent out a memo to all teams saying they would not register a new contract for him. It's a bit different for Lemon since he already has a league approved contract. I can't recall them ever revoking an existing contract like that - not sure if they could without the union filing a grievance. The Al's could just do the right thing and cut him (like the Riders did with Marino) & let the league get rid of him once and for all but that would take some class and apparently they do not have any.

To be fair to Osh, he probably has no say in this. We know how he feels about media so I'm sure he would love not to have to do any of this kind of thing.

The OL is definitely an issue but Zach's skill level (specifically his mobility) has also deteriorated. IMO, it's not simply one or the other. If he still had the ability to scramble and make plays out of nothing, like he could a few years ago, the OL issues wouldn't look as bad as they are (they would still be there though).

They also put Houston on the 6 game a few days ago so their secondary has taken a hit.

That play immediately comes to mind when I see him turtling in a collapsed pocket and wonder how he went from that to what we have now. I realize it's been close to 5 years (a long time at this stage of his career) but he has none of that ability anymore.

Their fall was more gradual though. We broke them in the 2019 GC and then they weren't hot **** in 2021 at 8-6. They were under .500 the last 2 seasons so they didn't go from the top team to near the bottom in one off season like we have.

Deep draft is the only thing I can come up with. 3DN had a write-up on him pre-combine where they (for whatever that's worth) said he was one of the top DL prospects. Yes, 8th round pick from this year's draft. He's already done more than players drafted much higher than him so he was a steal for us.

It was reported that teams were inquiring about him as late as December so I wouldn't say there was no interest. No interest in the Jets asking price might be more accurate.

March 2023 is when that news leaked but there hasn't been anything else about a trade request since then. When he signed the one year deal a few months later (in August), he also said he was looking forward to a clean slate with the club so it looks like he may be ok with whatever the club told him about their future plans for him. Either that or they've done a much better job keeping things out of the media but that's almost impossible to do if a team is actively shopping a player or if a player really wants out.

A few long drives in the 2nd half (when the game was already out of reach) definitely helped. He had 115 yards at the half and added 130 in the 3rd and 129 in the 4th but BC had taken their foot off the gas by then. The stats and the score flatter Hamilton.

Keric got good yardage in his first game but it was only 3 catches and he didn't have one ball thrown to him before he went down in his 2nd game. I don't think Zack looked at anyone other than Demski or Woli in the last game. Strevy at least spread the ball around, even if the passes went incomplete (most of which seemed to be on Strevy).

Yeah I don't expect much from him but maybe it'll give Zach another target since he doesn't seem to want to throw to the rookies.

I don't think it's too unusual. It was only reported that he was in discussions and was expected to sign. It's not like they had a deal done a week ago and he's just coming in now. Not much different than Oakman in Edmonton - his signing was reported but still hasn't been made official.

They are giving up points/yards all game so it's not simply a matter of them being gassed from being on the field all game. They've actually given up fewer points (slightly) in the 2nd half of games as compared to first halves. The D can also be blamed for not being able to get off the field when they are still fresh. I mean BC only had to punt twice in the entire game - pretty easy to get to 500 yards when your offense can do what they want.
