Vaj has a guaranteed contract for next year so BC will want to trade him so they aren't on the hook for any of that. That could open the doors for other teams (Hamilton or Calgary) to take a stab at him.

I don't think your recollection is correct. He played the last 9 minutes of the 2nd quarter and there were a total of 6 pass plays called for him. He went 1-5 passing (he was sacked in the end zone on the other pass play) with only one drop from a receiver. He somehow got hurt and didn't see the field in the 2nd half - not sure how it happened since he was on the field to end the 1st half & was just handing the ball off. He showed nothing of the mobility that Ford has so not sure where that comparison came from.
