  1. The plan wasn't to move the food court to be closer to the new theatre. The plan was to expand it north/northwest, using the space from the old theatre. In this picture, green is the existing layout and pink is the proposed layout (the old theatre is essentially under the "C" in Food Court.
  2. 571,000 on CTV - last year was 688,100 on TSN. https://3downnation.com/2024/09/11/banjo-bowl-tv-rating-drops-over-17-percent-despite-riders-bombers-airing-on-ctv/
  3. Yeah I don't expect much out of him but it would be a bit disappointing if we cut bait early and he ends up being a good player for them.
  4. I did that earlier in the season. Still time to climb back in it though.
  5. Looks like the Als picked up Barrington Wade.
  6. The feds are still investigating him so it may happen yet. It's also well documented that he has paid off multiple people in the past to avoid things going to trial.
  7. We still have Durant's rights I believe.
  8. Might have to sweeten the pot a little bit. Throwing in an autographed Damian Jackson jersey should do it.😂
  9. Agreed. 70+ years of the award and only 1 (purely) defensive player has won it - they should just call it what it is, the Most Outstanding Offensive Player award.
  10. He's technically not wrong... a DB has won MODP but not MOP. MOP is open to all players but really should be an offensive award since that's who wins it almost every year (Elimimian being the lone exception).
  11. A few weeks ago, I saw him on a couple replays and he reminded me of Darvin Adams (as a blocker) - a taller, leaner receiver doing a good job blocking and showing a bit of attitude so I tried keeping an eye on him after that but I didn't really noticed him again. The last couple games when I did see him, it was nothing to write home about. If he was more consistent, maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion but even then his lack of production (on the few targets he gets) would still be noticeable. A guy like Darvin could block and still be a productive receiver.
  12. Guaranteed money can only be included in the final year of a contract so that's not an option. Would have to be the non-guaranteed portion of his salary.
  13. Hard to believe but it's worse. I grew up nearby & remember what it looked like back then (which was nothing special). Now I pass it on my way to work and if the outside is any indication, I don't even want to imagine what the inside looks like!
  14. I believe the Stamps are just about ready to reveal their upgrade plans for McMahon as well.
  15. You would think so judging by the outside of the building but apparently it's still open.
  16. It's not adding up for me. Durant would have mostly been dealing with MOS, Lapo & Buck. MOS's record stands for itself on this type of thing. Lapo has talked about how having kids changed the way he managed his work/life balance so he could be home more so I don't think it would have come from him. Buck has turned down job offers to keep him family settled here so I don't see it being him either. So who else would have had that much influence on a back-up veteran QB? If Durant talked to the assistant junior waterboy and got his panties in a bunch, well that's on him but it sounds like bullshit to me.
  17. Can you cite an example where a guaranteed contract has been re-negotiated?
  18. Yes, he is eligible to practice now but would still have to miss the next 2 games for the cap savings. Just because Neuf is practicing again, doesn't mean he is ready to go back or that Osh will throw him back in there this week (no different than when Lawler came back to practice but wasn't immediately re-inserted to the line-up.
  19. It's now been confirmed. Sad news. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/blue-jackets-forward-johnny-gaudreau-brother-killed/
  20. I don't think those 2 count as PR spots. With the addition of Bowers-Kane, we have a full PR of 12 guys and that's not including the 2 Rifles players. The CBA allows junior players to participate in practice without being signed to a contract so I assume that's what this is since there are zero transactions on the CFL site for either guy. Not sure about Davis, but Banfield first joined the PR in May so they aren't new additions either. https://portageonline.com/articles/banfield-joins-blue-bombers-practice-squad
  21. I can't find the salary cap penalties at the moment but when the football ops cap was introduced, the penalties could reach up to a fine of $250k & the loss of up to 3 draft picks. I would imagine the players cap has similar penalties. https://www.cfl.ca/2018/12/06/cfl-introduces-non-player-football-operations-cap/
  22. Don't care what these other guys think because to me
  23. Our junior football scene just isn't as strong as the other western provinces and it shows on the field. Our best players often leave to play elsewhere (Banfield for example had been playing in BC).
  24. He didn't even make it to camp. He failed his physical which was due to the Bailey hit
