I'm not in favor of getting rid of the NMC but it definitely needs to be adjusted. Put some type of cap on it (maybe a team can only be added to a list "x" number of times?). Players will still have say in where they play and it doesn't stop them from having full control once they hit FA.

We just did that a season or 2 ago and there were similar complaints about the last group so maybe the issue is more about the direction the scouts are being given?

He's only been pro for 3 years, despite being drafted in 2018 (spent the next 4 years in college). Even though it's a small sample size (missed 2/3 of the season due to injuries), he ended up playing more games in the NHL than the AHL so perhaps he was on track to be an NHL regular? Worth kicking the tires on anyway.

First of 2 7th round picks was an interesting one - 6'2 D named Alofa Tunoa Ta'amu. Son of a former NFL O-lineman and he describes himself as a tank on wheels. If he doesn't pan out for the Jets, maybe the Bombers can take a look at him.

Saw one analysis that said he could be our 2C as early as 2027/28. Kind of flies in the face of the Jets preference to slowly develop but we'll see.

I would have preferred that too but there werent several still available. It would have been either Verhoeff or Gustafsson (who would have been a reach at #8). No other D was picked until Lin at 21. Bjorck is small but fills a big need for the Jets so I'm not going to complain about the pick.
