It was by far the best fight of the card. Even though there are other good fights, it's definitely changed my plans for ordering the ppv.

Khabib vs Ferguson has been cancelled due to medical issues for Khabib. http://www.ufc.com/news/khabib-nurmagomedov-tony-ferguson-UFC-209-bout-cancelled
  3. Interesting quote in that article... sounds like he wants to follow CM Punk to the UFC! At least Swagger has a wrestling background to fall back on if he goes into mma.
  4. Some of the Russia/Trump contact also may have been illegal (one of the reasons why they got rid of Flynn). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan_Act
  5. The Bengals signed him last year and then released him as one of their final cuts. Apparently they told him to put on weight & they'd bring him back. http://3downnation.com/2016/09/14/canadian-receiver-rashaun-simonise-signs-cjfls-okanagan-sun/
  6. Pretty amazing considering his other options. The Chiefs (and other teams) were a bit hesistant to go after him because they weren't sure how long he'd want to play. Guess he's proven his doubters wrong!
  7. Same name, different guy. Our assistant ST coach is also Paul Boudreau ST coach - http://www.bluebombers.com/football-operations/paul-boudreau/ New OL coach - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Boudreau
  8. One of the top, remaining FA's, Greg Van Roten has followed Milanovich to Jacksonville. http://www.cfl.ca/2017/02/27/former-argo-van-roten-lands-nfl-deal/

Braidwood actually had an mma fight before he went into boxing. He tko'd future UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo in his only mma fight back in 2007. It was the 1st fight for both guys and the only time Jimmo was ever finished by strikes (injury stoppage excluded). The Canadian MMA scene is pretty dead right now so he's definitely going to make more money in boxing. The funny thing is that 4 of his 8 boxing matches have been against MMA fighters.
  10. He was listed at 185 last season. http://www.cjfl.org/roster_players/13579569?subseason=300046

Not UFC but still in the fight world - former Eskimo Adam Braidwood picked up a minor world boxing title tonight in Montreal. Herb Zurkowski had a good article about him the other day. http://montrealgazette.com/sports/former-top-cfl-pick-adam-braidwood-vies-for-redemption-in-boxing-ring
  12. Or Transcona... we seems to get a lot of franchises opening their first locations out here (Wild Wing, Famous Dave's, 5 Guys, Mary Browns'). Either way, I'm there if they open one!
  13. Guessing he's extended his playing career a little bit longer.
  14. He started out as a wildman with crazy strength, then went to the smart heel and then back to wildman gimmick for the rest of his career.
  15. That's because he was in his late 40's and had been wrestling for nearly 20 years by the time the mid 80's rolled around. I don't know that anyone would have ever had him as a top in-ring guy even in his younger days (although he did work well with Sammartino apparently) but his gimmick was perfect for the Rock N Wrestling era.
  16. He also used to eat the turnbuckle pads.
  17. Big part of my childhood gone right there.
  18. His doppleganger is Ed Helms from The Office IMO.
