Yeah, yeah we all know you love Ross Hodgkinson. Let it go already.

Director at Deloitte

Lawless definitely thinks they should go with Walters. Miller, I'm not so sure.

The hiring of the GM is beside the point. Asper wasn't even on the board of directors when Mack was hired. He was kicked off in 2005 for making an ass of himself. He re-joined them in 2011 and started meddling in football ops right away as the team went into a downward spiral into where it's at today. And now he is the vice-chair. Make no mistake, nothing happens at the Winnipeg Football Club until it goes through David Asper.

What is Asper actually doing that is so negative to the team? Wasn't he one of the BOD members who didn't want Joe Mack in the first place? He didnt get his way then. If he had pushed his agenda maybe we'd be in a better position. BoD should have no say in the hiring of anyone other than the President/CEO. That's a problem right there. Shouldn't be remotely involved in football operations. It's the meddling that has to end. Whether the result of the meddling is good or bad is irrelevant. He should simply have no say. Hire a President, and get out of the way. He won't do that, and he has been involved with this team longer than anyone else. Time for him to go.

I think it's a relevant topic. Asper has been involved with the team for way too long. If they want to show real change in the organization, he's going to have to go. He just can't let go of the reins and it's not healthy for the team. He had a huge role in getting the team into a new stadium and should be commended for it, but it is time for him to take a step back.

And then taking it back.

I usually don't look at these but just thought it painted a nice picture of the Bombers' season. Hmm something really went wrong around week 7.... http://cfl.ca/page/cflca-mathematical-power-rankings

I'd like that too, if he were putting money into the team in any way.

what about a beautiful wife or a non crazy wife? are they connected? You have to try and stay above the line

True. He was here for the 2011 Training camp, the year after Palardy set the franchise record for field goal percentage with 26/30 for 86.7%. Tough to cut a guy like that in favour of a completely raw rookie, though it would have been nice to keep Paredes on the practice roster... many teams use a PR spot on a kicker. Oh well... ancient history at this point.

Would you rather be the top scientist in your field, or have mad cow disease?

I can't imagine what person, in any walk of life, anywhere, would prefer to have a terrible team over a brand new stadium. Would you rather be a millionaire or have cancer?

Don't you all understand what's happening here? Wade Miller is going to be the GM. You don't try to hire a director of player personnel without first having a GM.... Miller is that GM.

22/26 for 85% FG percentage this season in the CIS. Also 39 punts for 40.8 yard avg.

Yep he's already gone

It said in the paper that Miles is an FA after this season, for what its worth. Its too bad he got injured at training camp because it kinda derailed his season. I remember standing with Buchko at training camp and I asked him if he was excited about any player in particular and he mentioned Wallace Miles. Maybe he was on to something.

We barely have 3 serviceable NI starters, let alone 7. If we have a shot at Harris, we need to take it and get him here.

There's ways around it

Lol boltus

Gold on gold looks great. Very flashy. Nobody can touch our golden boys.

Agreed but no sense having a 2nd pick if the guy picking doesn't do it right. We need a GM who will make good decisions. Maybe it's just me, but I hope the Bombers aren't taking a "We don't know what we're doing so it doesn't matter when we pick" attitude...

Don't care so much about the draft pick being 2nd or 3rd. More worried that 2 late wins will allow Burke to keep his job.
