  1. I considered Nichols at 3rd but my interpretation includes Lulay as depth so BC gets the edge. As for the DL.... I'm reserving judgement, I'm still not sure what to expect from Okp this year and Westerman fell off a bit last season. I'm still hopeful. I think BC, EDM, and CGY have established, strong DL. SSK obviously is 5th.
  2. QB - 4th, RB - 1st, REC - 3rd, OL - 2nd DL - 4th, LB - 4th, DB - 2nd ST - 1st
  3. Jim Bender is totally nuts
  4. He's a mormon?
  5. It's not that difficult to get firearms in Canada, even restricted ones. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/editorialopinion/2012/12/17/assaultstyle_weapons_easily_available_in_canada.html As for where he got his ideas, it's not hard to find views similar to his on popular sites like Twitter and Reddit. There are lots of "conservative" sites like Breitbart who would obviously not condone what he did, but do espouse similar views to the ones he held. Is that radicalization? Does it matter? I'm not sure. The push to call him and other white mass-murderers "radicalized" is basically a Liberal debate tactic to use against anyone who calls out radical Islam. It's semantics more than anything. You want to call him a radicalized terrorist, sure go ahead. What he did is basically the same as what happened at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. It's irrelevant what it's called. Who else might be similarly inspired? Anyone. Literally anyone, and there is no single way that it happens. It can happen when a man loses his job. It can happen when someone has a crime or other perceived slight committed against them by a minority. But it's not always so obvious like that, is it? Imagine a scenario... an innocent man comments on social media that he is worried about radical Islam because of what he's heard in the news. He gets called Islamophobic. Fired from his job. Arrested, even, if the Liberals pass their Islamophobia law. Innocent man who was worried about his family, now has lost his livelihood so decides he hates Muslims and all those who defend them. Radicalized, because he dared to say he was worried about radical Islam. Telling people their fears are "wrong" and bullying them into silence can radicalize them as much as anything else.
  6. You don't post enough! You have a wonderful likes-to-posts ratio.
  7. I don't get why Denmark isn't more valued throughout the league... must be missing something
  8. Yes, if they are telling other people that they should be willing to.
  9. Translation: "I don't like this and am willing to ask other people to risk their lives and careers to stop it. While I tweet about it."
  10. That article says some weird things I don't totally understand: huh?
  11. In other words Saskatchewan didn't think he was worth the money he wanted. Calgary disagreed and paid him. Which is basically what I'm talking about here... Calgary acquiring guys that other teams "don't have room for"... but somehow the best team in the league does.
  12. You don't know he wasn't going to re-sign, that's speculation.
  13. That situation isn't as simple as you'd like to believe. There are pro-Russian separatist factions within Ukraine. But I guess you know better than they do. How much time have you spent there? I'm eager to hear about your experiences.
  14. You could make that argument but Sask also gave him away for a 3rd round pick and a kicker. And now they signed a backup Cdn RB to a starter's contract while Messam thrives in Calgary. Maybe you could put that one on Sask stupidity rather than anything special by Calgary.
  15. So you don't think fostering a better relationship with Russia would be beneficial?
  16. Jerome Messam?
  17. DoD is a living legend in the CFL online community
  18. Speak for yourself, you sure don't speak for me
  19. I don't remember him... must have been a little before my time.
  20. Can't win with an impotent top 6 and those guys are not easy to acquire in the NHL these days. It takes years to build a top 6.
  21. http://morningbigblue.com/community/leaderboard/ As if my ego wasn't big enough already
  22. I totally agree about Kohlert but the point is that Calgary seems to find a way to revive guys' careers. I still remember in 2011 when Marquay McDaniel got benched and then released from the Ticats. How has that worked out?
