I don't know.... the CFL draft will always be a tough sell because the players generally don't come in and become stars, except in very limited cases. The best of the draft end up as linemen... it's very rare to find a player coming in at a skill position and making an impact. So to most fans, it's like.... who cares? Tough to get excited about right guards and special teamers, no matter how much coverage of the draft there is.

hmm I'm not so sure that's true. Sounds nice, but not sure it's true. Some of the best defensive forwards in the league don't do it with size but with relentless pursuit and smart play. Toews, Bergeron, etc.

Buff will be near 30, Morrissey will likely play the highest minutes of his career. Melchiori has earned some trust playing with Buff and Strait surprisingly acquitted himself quite well with Morrissey. Buff (30), Morrissey (25), Melchiori (24), Strait (20), Stuart (12), Nogier (9). Might see something along those lines.

You either have Canadian starters or no Canadians at all. If you have no mandated starters you have 21 Canadian backup/special teams players and Americans going directly from the PR to starting rather than the Canadian backups becoming starters. Makes no sense.

I don't mind Chiarot. He's a fine 3rd-pairing defenceman, IMO. Nogier still has lots of potential but to throw him into the fire right now while he's still a rookie.... could be some rough moments and I'd hate for that to follow him into his sophomore year. He's a good player but now isn't the right time. I hope they don't have to use him.
