That said, I'm certainly not on the dump Willy bandwagon. He'll be better next season. I agree with most of you that in the big picture this season wasn't a total loss. Lot of good pieces have been put in place. Add a few pieces on both lines and we might have something.

O'Shea hasn't made an enemy out of the media. Wiecek said it himself that their testy exchange was a rare occurence. I'm not sure why some people have decided this is a thing now.

The top writer for both major papers love him. Penton giggles like a school girl in the media scrums and Lawless gushes over him on H & L. Other than Wiecek he seems to get along with all of them just fine (Friesen doesn't count).

Can we six game everybody who's hurt this week to save some cap space, or is there a rule against that? Also, why didn't Brohm go on the six game IR after he broke his thumb?

Freeing up cap room in season isn't needed to go after FA's in the off season. The SMS doesn't really exist in the off season so you can always cut players after you sign FA's if you need to. True for other teams' FAs. I meant it allows for extra cash to re-sign our owns guy prior to the end of 2014.

Willy would get my nod, but nobody on this team was truly outstanding.

It's been discussed before, but it's exactly what happened to Montreal in 2007. Their OL looked like crap under MB's scheme and Calvillo got brutalized. They changed coaches and put in better protection schemes and all of a sudden they had the best OL in the league. IMO our OL has less talent last season yet looked better.

Why not move January to right tackle? He can play both. I think he deserves another chance. He's been good the last few seasons, and was at the start of this one as well. It seems logical to assume his decline in play in the 2nd half of the season was due to the back injury he was playing through.

Getting a win is pretty important imo. There's something to be said for finishing the season with at least a small positive.

Kohlert put up a 4.45 40 time in college, which was better than Kelly's. Kohlert also had a faster shuttle time.
