  1. That's what worries me....is he just executing Austin's O......also, they appeared to be attached at the hip, and not sure there's any separating them.
  2. An interesting note that's kinda gone unnoticed (or at least not really discussed here...) is that it appears the Bombers are talking to every single possible potential candidate they can get their hands on. "Leaving no stone unturned..." etc etc....which is nice to see.
  3. You don't think the starting qb should be heard before hiring an oc? The team should be run by management, not by the players. Asking Willy for his opinion of coaches he's worked under is fine. Asking his opinion of coaches he hasn't worked under... not so much. Giving him a yay or nay? Nope. You act like it's Willy's choice alone. They'll ask for his opinion - As they should since he's the franchise QB, but he certainly won't be the one making the decision. He's worked under Cortez, so he'll know obviously if that's an offence he likes or not. If your quarterback doesn't feel comfortable running a certain offence, that tends to pose a bit of a problem. But now of course, TBurg says "YOUR FRANCHISE QB SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN ANY OFFENSE!! IF HE CAN'T RUN A PROPER OFFENSE, THEN GET A NEW QB!!11!"
  4. Asking your starting QB what he thought of his previous OC, both in terms of the scheme and what the players thought of him in the room/meetings......a necessity. The absolute final say? Of course not...but nobody suggested that.
  5. Fwiw, Lawless refuting Madani's assertion about Huff.....says Riders absolutely never offered Huff a job.....
  6. Do the Esks hate the Riders as much as we do? Yes, yes they do. Doesn't everyone hate the Riders? This should be in the league positioning statement somewhere....F*** those guys.
  7. Man oh man...getting shut down by everyone, with no option but to take the leavin's.....
  8. did they say how much money that is? No, they didn't...but you gotta think it's high....
  9. So, according to Twitter, the Riders offered money to Huff that would make him the highest paid person in the entire CFL, including the Commissioner (!!) and he turned it down. Talk is that if the Riders offer similar money and complete control to Jones, he's all in to the Riders. Lalji guessing Maas would replace Jones...Jarious Jackson to replace Cortez.....Lapo to replace Bellefuille.....
  10. People get SO caught up in what hand a guy shoots...especially on D......it doesn't matter nearly as much as you think it does.
  11. Points by offense: BC - 394, WPG - 309 = 85 more points than us. So, 4pts a game.......
  12. Also of note: Jon Cornish making it official today with retirement announcement presser scheduled for this afternoon.
  13. The arrogance on that man is tough to stomach. A 3 win season would look real good on him.
  14. God I hope this completely blows up in Buono's face....
  15. Well, hopefully everyone had fun with the playoff stuff this year anyhow.....get that outta the system.....
  16. Wonder if they'll now make a big push for Greinke......(or did I miss any news on him going somewhere already?)
  17. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl-coaching-carousel-picks-up-speed-1.402668 The CFL coaching carousel is picking up speed as new head coach Dave Dickenson is beginning to put together his staff with the Calgary Stampeders. Stampeders’ defensive coordinator Rich Stubler is leaving the organization and Dickenson is making his moves to regenerate his staff. Stubler's contract is set to expire and it's believed he's got his sights set on joining the Toronto Argonauts, if the team decides to make a change. Argos’ defensive coordinator Casey Creehan is still under contract, but his status for next season remains unclear. Stubler has strong ties to the Argos organization. He served as both a head coach and defensive coordinator for the franchise in the past. Dickenson is expected to promote from within to fill Stubler's position. CFL sources say Dickenson will offer the Stamps defensive coordinator gig to DeVone Claybrooks. Claybrooks has been the defensive line coach in Calgary and will move up the ladder. Dickenson is actively looking for a new defensive line coach and the leading candidate is former Stamps lineman Corey Mace.
  18. I assumed this is something that's been in place all along and really don't see anything wrong with it. Being PM comes with some perks...
  19. S'posin' this opens up a spot for Benny, anyhow......
  20. Haven't had a chance yet. Haven't been to a computer. Unfortunately the mobile version of this site doesn't let you post pics from your phone. Tomorrow at home, hopefully...
  21. Really felt like a RBs crowd.
  22. I truly believe in The Trinity, and that they're doing everything they can to turn it around. I'm excited to see what they do this off season!
  23. Whatever it is, it looks awesome!
  24. Great game, great day at the stadium. Kudos to all the volunteers who did a wonderful job and made it a seamless entry and exit today. The shuttle drivers who stopped and asked anyone in a jersey if they wanted a ride. All around fantastic experience today. Way to go Winnipeg...you looked great all week.
  25. We are in...just below the rum hut in the end zone.
